  1. Ricochet just showed up and challenged the winner of Omega/Kushida. Maybe they're going to give the jr's division more focus.

  4. You seem to like it more than I did, but I did enjoy it quite a bit and it may have been the best houseshow they put on this year that has aired on NJ World. I liked the TM match and like you said it was a squash. It was too one sided for me to get it to the near 4 star range. I understand why TM dominated based on positioning and such.I can also see why you liked it more than me. This is a TM that people can enjoy. I liked the 10 man, and having Honma with the numbers game against him is sure fire drama. The 10 man match is stale,to the wrestlers credit they've had some good ones this year. Having it under elimination rules gave it some spark. For people to not like the opener that has just got to be based on hating Taguchi so much.
  5. I'm all for them having great matches on their tv and VOD. When you have people who work hard that can happen. ROH needs to make their ppv's more special. How I'm not sure. One would be not to put 2 killer matches on the same tv. Maybe spend a little more time on interviews or angles to build the ppvs, and maximize payoffs on the ppvs.
  6. I loved it. The 6 man on tv was better than the 6 man on ppv. I liked Strong/Nak better than Lethal/Briscoe too, even though Briscoe/Lethal was promoted much better. This is an example of ROH not protecting their ppv model.
  7. Thanks a lot. It really does seem to be a lot of stuff that isn't widely circulated. Yes their will be stuff that are in people's collections, but on the interview alone we discussed 4 matches that I believe aren't in circulation. I hope this is a success. After doing the interview with Bruce I'm really excited about the launch.
  8. In actuality Johnny thought I said it 1st and was ribbing me because off air he was busting my balls.
  9. I finally got around to watching the show. I'd give it a thumbs in the middle. I didn't have any matches at 4* or higher. ROH really needs to do kick ass shows on these main ppvs. Most of their VOD have been better than this show. My favorite match was The Kingdom vs Styles/Bucks at 3 3/4*. Lethal vs Briscoe was good, but just had too many flaws. I actually enjoyed the start with the feeling out, but on the other hand I felt this feud was pretty personal and thought they should have brought the hate. The way it was booked with Lethal's support system getting stripped away , and still showing the guts to win the title in front of his parents really seem to be planting a baby face run. We'll see though. On paper a lot of the ideas sounded great, but the execution or presentation of the ideas lacked.
  10. LOL. It was funny because he apologized to me right after the interview for calling me John.
  11. Michael Elliott I believe is working on or in the planning stages of doing a Del Wilkes documentary. Which I'm sure go into it even more.

  14. Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Jay White Man I thought this was a real good opener. White's strikes are awesome. They worked at a quick pace with big time strikes, and some good looking submissions. They worked it in a way and got me to believe White could win. I thought these really clicked on a lot of levels. Loved Taguchi using his butt strikes to work over White's arm and leg. White's payback spot with the butt strike was tremendous. White seems like a big time star waiting to happen. 3* Tiger Mask vs. Sho Tanaka This match kinda surprised me at how tight they worked the match. The submissions were basic stuff but looked super hurty. The strikes were very good too. The drama was built into the submissions and rope breaks. Tanaka was great at getting TM submission work over with really strong facials. 2 3/4* Jushin Thunder Liger vs. David Finlay I thought Liger was really good finding ways to work over Finlay's back. I bought all of that. It was Finlay's comebacks I couldn't get behind. It seemed to lack an urgency to it. The finish was one of the new breed where it comes out of no where, 2 1/4* Mascara Dorada vs. Yohei Komatsu Dorada looked good here with his high flying. Komatsu just kinda came across as an after thought. 2 1/4* Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Yuji Nagata & Captain New Japan I thought this had some fun moments, but it was a flat match. 2* Tetsuya Naito & Manabu Nakanishi & Kushida vs. Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga & Kenny Omega Omega and Kushida show good chemistry in the ring. The Nakanishi/Fale exchange is terrible. The heels do stooge well for Nakanishi. .Overall, this was solid. Too much focus on Nakanishi. Though the new Naito could be interesting. 2 1/2* Kazuchika Okada & Rocky Romero & Berreta vs. Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows & Yujiro Takahashi Hopefully Takahashi is hidden well. Loved RPG vice chopping the tree that is Gallows down. Beretta as FIP was solid. Some of Gallow's strikes looked pretty mediocre. Anderson aping Orton on the tease of the Ace Crusher was lame. I wonder if Okada is going to get a hair cut before Dominion. A fun way to get Okada and Takahasi one on one. 2 1/2* Elimination Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Hirooki Goto & Togi Makabe & Katsuyori Shibata & Tomoaki Honma vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano & Kazushi Sakuraba & Yoshi-Hashi The pairing that never ends. Some are hits, some aren't. I like the spin of making it an elimination match. We get our pairings off to start. Everyone feeling out their rival. Yano is in full pussy mode. Eventually Honma is FIP and they all get a shot working him over. Honma's dead lift suplex of Ishii was boss. Now we get our NJPW trope and they're fighting outside while Ishii and Makabe take center stage. Both are counted out. Yano does a sneak attack, but he falls to a count out. A flash pin by Sakaraba ends Tanahasi. Sakaraba and Shibata go over the top. Nakamura and Goto pair off. Nakamura eliminates Goto over the top rope. We have a 2 on 1 now. Honma pins Yoshi-Hashi. Can Honma pull off the ultimate upset. Nope. This was good. Their was a lot of booking protection. that caused the eliminations to be flat. The last 2 eliminations were good. 3 1/4* Overall a good househow with good wrestling up and down the card. The singles matches made it seem different than the usual houseshow. The main event with the eliminations gave it a more special feel. Dominion should be a stacked show.
  15. Have u read Superstar's book Parv?
  16. This is sick. The talent here is insane. I would love to see an Aero Star type win it. Even Vince Russo at his creative worst would have problems ruining this tournament.
  17. I thought this was the best show with the NJPW talent. I do wonder how much the Nak/Strong bout was clipped?

  19. I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as you. I liked the 1st 15-20 minutes right up to Mundo started working Puma's arm. After that I felt they were exposed. I like both guys. Though their work usually needs to stay in the 12-22 minute range. All the weapons, and the stacking of the tables for the holy shit spot was YUCK for me, Multiple crow bar shots should send some one to the hospital. We got our sports entertainment spots with Patron interfering. Everything from Iron Man stips to all the weapons and setting up plunder felt totally inorganic to me We've seen matches go pretty long in the last month with Kushida/O'Reilly, and O'Reilly/Lethal and felt Lucha All Night didn't come close to the drama as the other 2. . 2 3/4*
  20. Sounds like a Wrestlemania in Dallas plan.
  21. The synching issue is fixed.
