They are going with some screw job finish to set up a last man standing or cage match. WWE programs in the network age are going to be lasting longer than 1 ppv.
  3. Their was a contract, but Bret did have creative control .
  4. The guys over at Elbow Productions have started a Kickstarter for an Ivan Koloff documentary. These are the guys who did the JCP dic. that was really interesting. Ivan has a great story to tell. Plus with donations to the Kickstarter their are some cool stuff to go along with it.http://kck.st/1usLHC7
  5. Started listening to this and am loving KrisZ history pieces. One thing on the Wrestling 2/JYD finish I always heard that business was hurt short term because the finish was botched so bad it looked like JYD took a dive.

    Tremendous
  7. The whole Flair leaving put the company in terrible position. The chess pieces on the board was really limiting compared to 6 months later. They were clearly doing a slow build to Sting/Luger. It seems WCW had so many timing issues and then not having anyone in place. We saw it in 90 when Sting got hurt. Heck WWE didn't do any better when Danielson got hurt.
  8. The Flair talk early was good. The booking of the champion in late 90/91 was terrible. In 90 Sting the t.v was built on building to a Black Scorpion match. Yet had to go on the road and draw against Flair, and Sid. Then he'd start facing some jobber under the hood. Which for sure wasn't going to draw on rematches. In 91 it seemed Flair didn't have an opponent they built up enough for him. Just a merry go round of opponents. We saw Pillman, Steiner, Eaton, Sting, and Gigante. Luger in 91 at 1st had Simmons who really had no cred yet. Windham who was shoved into the spotlight. They build a match on t.v with Sting, but the houseshows had Luger vs. Rick Steiner. It seemed they didn't 't know how to book the t.v to build houseshows and ppv at the same time.
  9. I know 4 a fact our own Johnny Sorrow informed Parv. He asked if their were any shots of Dibiase in it.
  10. I liked the Cena/Lesnar piece on the network. Heyman sounding like how the Grinch Stole Christmas was great.
  11. 1994 was where it was at. Part of it was Hogan and friends were coming in and Dustin was pushed down the card. So Meltzer and the internet kinda beginning to feel that some1 that talented shouldn't be so misused.

I will say we don 't need 2 babyfaces with taped up injuries in Ambrose and Sawagger.

You beat me too this. I was dieing seeing this.
  14. I'm not advocating for this type of show because the depth isn't their but I'm going to throw it out there I went to a Raw in Austin with my friend and his girlfriend. He wanted to surprise her because she's a Total Divas fan Especially Brie. She popped when we saw people who are on the show. She was kinda dissapointed by the lack of Divas matches. Why doesn't the network try to do a Divas wrestling show that is angle driven, and promo driven with some wrestling mixed it . This might really click with the Total Divas crowd . Plus they might be more inclined to sample other things on the network. Obviously you would push the show on Total Divas and push the fact you have former episodes of Total Divas on the network. I know my friend is just one sampling though it seems like something for the network to at least research.

I went to the Raw in Austin with my friend and his girlfriend. We went because his girlfriend is a huge Total Divas fan. She 's a huge Brie fan. So it 's possible Total Divas is getting fans of that show to test out the wrestling product.
  16. I felt I generalized 70's wrestling way too much on that show.
  17. They did talk about the Canadian stuff and mentioned it as a hook for Canadians.
  18. It was already on the 24-7 so a lot of the work is already done on it to get it ready for the network.
  19. I should have gone there more. Though I think WCCW was where they were most memorable.
  20. Who also posts here.
  21. More ECW and WCCW in September. Nitros in 6 weeks or so. WWE Raw for the Monday night wars. A program called rivalries. They want to add more WCW t.v by the end of the year.
  22. Tim people are using Paypal, visa gift cards with limited funds on it etc as work arounds so they aren't paying for all 6 months. The sharing of passwords has been been a big issue since Bix reported it. I'm also curious since this has been a mess. The ones who quit paying, I'm curious how quick is the service turning off the network on them?
  23. The Observer has a good piece about the timetables on adding more content
  24. I popped big when Ricky flipped Austin's phrase and made it his own.
