It did. The bout went about 18 minutes. It was a great bout against Steamboat/Douglas.

That's true, but in the overall grand scheme of things I think he has picked up a lot of stuff from all over. To me he's been a melting pot worker with the various styles. To me he seems to have taken a lot from Super Astro if I had to name one worker who influenced him.

The Tilt-a-Whirl stuff probaly had some influence to an extent.He used to take that move from Psicosis in almost every bout between the 2.

With Known Fact, I should have used the phrase common knowledge.

On the Observer Radio when Dave was talking about the divorce he spoke like this was a known fact. That was the 1st I heard of it. Flair is being short sighted in the big picture. Vince has always wanted a Babe Ruth of wrestling character and made some concessions for Flair to be it. Seeing he wasn't a WWE creation, him having most of his sucess elsewhere, and only working on top in the WWE for a short time.

In Steamboat's shoot Steamer mentions at 1st Steamer called the matches. Then he would have Luger call the heat. Then when Luger had this down, he had Luger call the match. This is how he worked with the inexperienced talent.

That was gold. This looks like a classic.

I thought Terry Funk made a nice transition from the 80's to the 90's. He found a niche that suited him well.

I think it's a lot harder to get this role over in wrestling today. Most of the larger headliners(height, build, and being over), in the WWE they won't let job to some nobody small wrestler. It worked at the past Wrestlemania in a way with Show, and Mayweather. Then again it wasn't built up as a shocker. The WWE also dropped this with Puder and Angle with all intents and purposes was similar to the Kid and Razor. For the most part the WWE doesn't want to have the headliners show that much ass to get the angle over and potentially hurt the drawing of the main eventer.

I would have liked the Rockers/Rougeaus match a lot better if we went from the stalling to a real bar burner of a contest that we didn't get. I thought when Rose did the stalling with the Rockers in the AWA it was 100% better.

The fact that people would cheer for someone who murdered his family is twisted on so many levels. They are the lowest common denominator out there and makes it hard to be a fan of wrestling.

I also think the Race/Angle comparison is an intersting one. One thing Angle will never learn is that sometimes less is more.

For me "ring ability" was about moves or athleticism. While "psychology" was how smart or how the match made sense, but whatever.

Meltzer in a recent Observer said a Flair one will be released at some point in 2008.

Their is one match between the two on Helmet's awesome Finlay comp.

The singles match between the 2 was excellent. I came out of it wanting to see a lot more Wright.

For Money, plus Vince doesn't get that UFc is competition and is misreading the landscape.
