They transition to the Mr. Wrestling 2 vs Magnum TA 4/6/84 from nwaclassics.com. Then onto ROH tv, and Timothy from Lucha UnDead podcast comes by to discuss FIP 6 man night 1 show. Fall 2 (1:29:00) we look at the Tenyru retirement. Fall 3 (1:38:44) is WWE bound. The guys talk NXT, Undertaker 25 years specials. A Raw where the boys argue about the presentation of the Undertaker angle.

Nick Bockwinkel vs Chavo Guerrero This is a non title match. So the goal is simple. Make Chavo a threat, and make the audience believe he will be the next AWA World Champ. In the match I feel they accomplished this. Bockwinkle along with Buddy Rose are the 2 best at working different type of matches. It starts with Bock trying to slow the pace and use the weight advantage. They start an over the head wristlock battle. This transitions into Chavo working Bock's arm. The arm work here is real nifty. Chavo also is good at keeping Bock off balance with his speed. Eventually Nick escapes and because his arm has been worked over uses his legs and puts Chavo in a body scissor. This is something all wrestlers should look at. In a really nice touch, we see Bock trying to shake the arm out. We some real fun stuff come out of the body scissors. Then transitions into Bock stooging for Chavo. We see Chavo deliver a beautiful German Suplex for the win. I guarantee in the rematch if we get to see it; Bockwinkel will work a different match . 3 1/2*

Magnum TA vs Ted Dibiase This card has been amazing so far and now we get the semi main event. This show drew a 71,000 dollar house and had 9,000 fans.I got the figures from Cornette's book. We see Ted start out with some rough house tactics to start. TA fires back. When Ted gets the heat he is awesome. It's all focused on the back. We see body slams, body slams on the floor, back breakers into the ring post, back drops, a bear hug, knee drop to the back, and a camel clutch. We TA fight out of the clutch. TA's selling is spot on. He starts a comeback. Hits Ted in the breadbasket. Oh no TA runs into a nasty knee by Ted head on. Ted tosses him to the floor and just destroys him. TA is busted open. Ted works the cut with stomps and punches to the cut. TA delivers an amazing small package for a great hope spot . TA sees the blood and it fires him up. The ropes break and these guys are great at improvising. I loved the finish of Ted missing his big move only for TA to catch him with the Belly to Belly. What a great match. 4 1/4*

With Scurll he seems to be missing one thing. I can't quite put my finger on. He keeps me engaged in his matches for the most part, but loses me here and there.
-
I feel Scurll and End are right below these guys. Then you have your Big Damo types as the next level tier.
-
I honestly think Haskins is the 3rd best wrestler in the UK behind Sabre Jr, and Ospreay right now.
-
Count me in. The UK scene has been great. I love Progress and Rev Pro. Ospreay is in my top 3 for babyface of the year. Will still needs to learn to sell limb damage better, but the rest of his game is great. His promo on the last Progress show blew me away. I've been reviewing Progress and Rev Pro for TWIW Podcast.

Thanks, and not to sound to sports entertainmenty . This is awesome.
-
Especially in that arm drag spot. It looked like Lothario was just as quick.
-
I thought this was the best Guerreros performance that we've seen in the footage.
-
Plus from that show all that is missing is the main event of Rock n Roll Express vs MX with Cornette in a cage.
-
Great to hear Bruce, thanks for keeping us in the loop.
-
When all is said and done Houston will have the 2nd most arena footage documented for the fans. Only WWF will have more. This is huge.
-
Sounded like the President who is Johnny Mantell lives locally, and the University of Texas @ Arlington is going to be involved with it.
-
The PWHF is moving from New York to Witchita Falls, Texas according to Slam. As a guy who lives in Texas this sounds like a fun roadie when Steve Austin and Sgt. Slaughter go in 2016.

ERNIE LADD and BUTCH REED vs. TERRY TAYLOR and SONNY KING Holy Moly they did it again the 7/6/84 show had another killer match on it. We still haven't gotten the top 2 matches from it. The semi main is actually in circulation and it's a great match. Man, Houston wrestling is tremendous, and really is a special town in wrestling. The crowd is molten for this. They want to kill Butch Reed and that turncoat Ernie Ladd . Sonny King is Hacksaw Duggan over here. We start with a wild brawl to start, It settles down and Sonny King is throwing hands. Just beating the heel's asses. Reed and Ladd are great at feeding King. They also stooge big time for him. Taylor in and Ladd is cheapshotting him like a pro. Taylor has had enough and cheapshots Ladd. Eventually, Ladd's size is too much for Taylor. Butch sneaks behind the ref's back and cheapshots Taylor. The crowd is insane here on the cheating. Ladd slingshots Taylor into just a nasty Reed elbow. Taylor takes a big bump to the floor. We build to the finish and the heels go over with a foreign object shot. Man just a super heated tag that the crowd ate up with a spoon. 3 1/2*

Mine arrived yesterday. I really love all the old clippings and pictures. A really fun coffee table book.

Guerreros vs Jose Lothario/Hacksaw Duggan This is awesome and another chapter of the Lothario vs Guerrero's feud. This time Lothario chooses Duggan as his partner. Paul Boesch fears this match is going to get out of hand and wants nothing to do with it. We open with a wild brawl. Chavo and Hector are bumping around and eating all of the faces punches, and they are great punches. It settles down into a regular tag. We start out and the Guerreros are just feeding themselves for some super sock punches. We get some nice arm drag exchanges. Lothario is tremendous in the shine with the brothers working their asses off. Chavo with a knee into Lothario's back on a double team. Chavo begins with these nasty jackhammer punches to Lothario's eye trying to bust him open. We see Lothario tag out to Duggan. Duggan is walking tall but misses a knee drop. Hector begin punching the knee. Chavo and Duggan seem off on a spot and sets up a hot tag that isn't that hot. Cornette is out and eithers Duggan. The Guerreros work over Lothario to massive heat. Their is some mistimed stuff, but overall a strong bout . 3 3/4*

Darsow vs Weingroff Darsow is a guy they keep fluid up and down the card. Usually with the right partner and angle he's a main eventer. So at times they move him down the card, but keep him strong by feeding him wins. It's kind of a lost booking trick. It's knid of how NJPW books Fale. We start off and they establish Darsow's strength early. He uses kicks, and stomps, and uses his size to control George. Weingroff gets some hope spots with drop kicks and the like. We go to the finish which is the Bruno Sammartino back breaker . Doc comes out for the save and sets up a future match
