  2. 12/16/83 Lanny Poffo vs Tom Lintz 12/16/83 Krusher Darsow d. George Weingroff 12/16/83 Butch Reed/Jim Neidhardt vs Mr. Wrestling 2/Steve Williams 12/16/83
  3. 1/13/84 Midnight Express vs El Bracero/Lanny Poffo Black Gordman vs Jose Lothario 1/13/84 Butch Reed vs Tito Santana 1/13/84
  4. I thought it was the perfect amount of it. It made it seem special as opposed to a one trick pony.
  5. Midnight Express vs Lanny Poffo/El Bracero This is about a month before the MX win the tag titles. They've worked Houston once before. This is a bout to establish them and give them a good win. Bracero is an established wrestler in the Houston area. These guys have a good match. Early on we get Bracero one up the MX and the crowd is eating it up. I loved Eaton doing the Fargo Strut to only eat a dropkick in the mush. Poffo is in and he does a real neat segment with Condrey working a head lock and hair pull. The crowd goes nuts for it. I love how crowds cheer the faces doing illegal things. Eventually the MX take a powder and the faces doing back flips in the ring. Condrey is calling for a timeout. The MX cut Bracero off and start working him over. Bracero is great in his FIP. He's eating all of the MX big moves. Eaton does a great distraction spot on Poffo to continue the beatdown. The crowd reacts to this in a very heated fashion. We get the hot tag, but wasn't delivered well or timed well. Upside like Goc said we get a row, row,row your boat spot. We get the finish. A really fun midcard match. One team is on the rise, the other their to be a foot note in history.3*

  7. I remember late in the Continental run they tried to portray Lynch as almost a local legend.
  8. That sounds like a fun one. If they got 10 minutes it could be a show stealer .
  9. That really is a good example .
  10. I enjoyed your talking point Parv about Taylor essentially being blackballed out of wrestling. Chad going heel on Parv mentioning his Indy project on a WTBBP .
  11. The kid has a ton of skills. He has great babyface fire and charisma, large move set, connects with the audience, and always works hard. My knock on him is that he's got to learn to sell limb work better. That is something in time and I believe maturity can fix. I think right now he's let me get my shit in. I think the more experience you get, the more you understand psychology. Still he's had a great year and has a chance to make my top 5 babyface list at the end of the year awards.
  12. Lanny Poffo vs Tom Lintz Man this was FUN. Poffo is a guy in the WWF who had a lot of good underneath matches with a variety of opponents. He's doing it in Houston as well. Lintz has a unique look. He had to work as a Russian somewhere. He worked a strong manish gimmick here. Poffo was had a lot of unique offense. It made his shine really standout. He also did a good job of keeping Lintz off balance with his headlock. Lintz was real solid in his heat segment using his strength to keep Poffo down. In Poffo's comeback he gets the win. A really fun undercard bout. 2 1/2*

  14. Chavo Guerrero vs Jack Victory 1/9/87 This was a solid bout. It's a bout booked to give Chavo a win to give him some steam heading into his more high profile match with Buddy Roberts. Jack Victory is a guy who's booked as a threat, but it's not the money match. Chavo's offense is really state of the art. Victory was a solid heel working the crowd. He'd also use the size to ground Chavo. Victory was good in working the neck. He even delivers a nice German Suplex. The match delivered on what it needed to do.

  17. Awesome!!! I remember you showing a 30 sec clip on the website pre launch.
  18. Seems to present day angle than 92.
  19. Did you notice that Steamer didn't deliver one arm drag because his focus was on Flair's neck. Could you imagine not doing your token spots in today's enviroment because the move makes no sense in the context of the match.
  20. Parv the grumpy old men booking idea was terrible. Lol
  21. You heard it here 1st.
  22. Bruce I really like the scouting report style of the analysis.
  23. Ken Lucas is a good pick. I want to see some Dynamic Duo.
  24. Bruce their are a lot of serious wrestling collectors here on this board. What you've been releasing is holy grail stuff that no one has. Some of the stuff has been circulated. I want to say the majority of the matches have never been released before. Only a handful of stuff out there has this much arena footage. NJ, All Japan, WWF, and Mid-South. The ones WWE owns they're sitting on.
