I hope some Boc gets uploaded.

They made good and put up Chavo vs Jessie Barr for historic purposes is cool.
-
They need to overhaul that announce team. Move Kevin Kelly into the Mandy Leon backstage role. Corino would have to go or make him an agent and help with the book. They're not helping the product at all.

Meltzer or I think it was Meltzer mentioned that the NXT girls have a training center to practice matches while the main roster don't have that advantage.

PTBN Reaction Show: NXT Takeover Brooklyn

Also from a podcast via the Observer Tanahashi talking about handshakes after matches. He supports Will's POV He also said he doesn't believe in post-match handshakes and hugs. "A post match handshake often undoes all the work and drama you've done in the match. It comes to nothing." He said when he was in ROH against Fish & O'Reilly, and they offered the handshake as ROH protocol, he thought "What the f*** is this?" -

This was mentioned in the Observer in regards to Liger. Liger debuted on the NXT show, and is expected to be working more dates with WWE, which explains his beating Tyler Breeze on the show, although the Brooklyn show's main card had nothing but babyface wins. One promoter we are friends with had tried to book Liger for a few dates and was told WWE had him on those dates, so it looks like Liger has a deal with WWE. This supports my point that Liger/Breeze was worked as if they had plans for Liger. -
Cool , I'll add it when I get home. You've been a lot of help with the dates .

Botch moves don't bother me, unless the wrestlers freeze or if it's beyond ugly. -
I was super tired when I watched Summerslam. I actually fell asleep when the tag started and the main event. Re watched the show . I still thought Orton/Shemus was dull and never got going. The tag was a lot of fun. Rusev/Ziggler didn't resonate for me. Ziggler's dead selling isn't interesting. I enjoyed the Arrow tag. I enjoyed the 3 way and thought they over delivered. The Shield 2.0 match was super fun and my favorite match of the show. Rollins/Cena was weird. Rollins worked his ass off. Diva match was ok at best . I liked Owens and Cesaro and thought it was the 2nd best match of the show. Then the main event was worked perfectly for what it needed to be until that finish. A thumbs up show marred by bad booking.

Plus Will is right this would have been a much easier show if the order was different.
-
He's one of those guys that you look at before the match starts and you think he's just a gimmick. The match starts and you're just wowed especially from 81-85.He made my SC poll so I see him making my list here easily.

Zellner's Silas Young's boys cracked me up.

I like how Will and Parv's argument is encompassing multiple shows. Plus it's a really uninteresting argument. I was hoping you guys would have talked about how HHH out Vinced Vince with booking a show that ran the night before a WWE ppv in the same town. Plus the NXT show ran long. This was straight out of Vince vs Crockett's in Philly. Except Vince got all the money here.

Now I have gone back and watched the Ladder Match. It was an excellent stiff match. This played to both men's strength. To me Balor's strength is his charisma and his offense looks credible, and athleticism. So this bout played right to his strengths. Owens great at heeling with the crowd. I thought he was great at incorporating the ladder. Their were so many times I cringed at a spot. I'm glad I watched this because 2 matches were better than anything on Summerslam. -
I'm excited for that bout. They're having one of them in San Antonio.

Rip Rogers vs Johnny Rich was a blast. I have 3 dates as possible. Rogers was great at feeding for Rich. He would also do stuff on the mat to keep things interesting. Rich was good in his role and I bet these guys have worked each other in a lot of territories. 2 3/4*

Thanks man. We totally agree. -
Part of why our argument got heated is Steven brought up that Becky vs Sasha match which is massive troll match aimed at me. So one I felt sucker punched which is why I went back to the argument later. I do feel you can compare any match , but you'd have more benefits comparing similar bouts. Like the Lothario/Gordman bout compared to a Lawler/Dundee bout from 98. Or maybe the Becky match to the Roddy Strong/Sabre jr match since both are worked around working a limb . I use star ratings for my own reference. Plus it gives a value that words truly can't. I stick with if you rate one match higher than another match, then you think it's a better match. Star ratings are essentially a ranking system, in my mind. Of course there is only so many stars, so some things will have to be put on the same level.Star ratings tell me nothing when comparing two matches, except which one you thought was better. I agree that if you rate something higher you do like it better. I do like the Lothario match more. In the 2nd part of our argument I explained why. I also think all of that is subjective . I just thought the match you picked was about as different of a match as possible. I was furious that I had to talk about that match that had nothing to do with the topic.

My thoughts on Duggan/Dibiase taped fist match. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/31382-mid-south-north-american-champion-ted-dibiase-vs-hacksaw-jim-duggan-mid-south-3885-no-dq/
