Anybody else ever blank on stuff like this? I have a ton of matches I love but then I panic of listing them.

At one point it was said in the 400,000 bracket as far as MP3 downloads go. Which does not account for his youtube channel and various bootleg Now lets say he is exaggerating by half, that puts it at 200,000, which GFW struggles to get on cable weekly. Cornette is more relevant than a lot of the guys he slags.
-
I'm 36, I don't know where that places me. Cornette's podcast has more listeners than GFW has viewers. So he probably is not that hated or the "modern" fan is not as plentiful as you think.

Yeah but look at the source. A generation that thinks they invented women's wrestling and jumping off the top rope in the last two years.

I think Bundy is pretty underrated. I thought he was one of the best Hogan opponents in general. But Gang is is significantly better than Bundy except for promos. He was much better at selling and bumping and had some nice offense too. He had ring presence and charisma. He was really good at working with smaller guys. He could sell and bump for them without it looking like bullshit. Thought he had a decent run in 91 WCW, considering he was working El Gigante and PN News. Thought it was as good a match as anyone could give Gigante. Worked good heel schtick with the hidden weapon. As mentioned earlier he had a good house show run in ECW. In particular some matches with Sabu and one with Shane Douglas. I think as more of his work turns up in Houston his reputation will improve further. There is a good match from his early years vs Savage in the Poffo promotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJyHxoFsNH0 I put Gang in the same class I do Bossman and Bigelow. Actually I might put him over Bigelow.

TNA booked 2006 Kurt Angle, who was a train wreck. They are using Del Rio right now who has a ton of baggage. They would definitely sign Bryan.

So WWE sent me an email wanting me to come back and offering me the Network thru November for free. I went ahead and took it and cancelled the auto payment. So is this a sign WWE is desperate or are they simply trying to inflate subscription numbers. -
So exactly what standard will clear him?

I mean he was cleared by the authorities,

What I meant was he was always treated like luggage. First he was Rey's job guy a guy for Konnan to beat up at the Clash then Rey's job guy again. I thought he had tremendous potential beyond the cruiserweights. I thought he could be a big star playing up him being reckless and insane. Kinda like what ECW did with Super Crazy. -
My father's doctor begged him to go into the hospital for test, but he refused and died later that night. I hope everything works out with Ric, its hard to imagine the world without him.

Some TV matches I saw recently seem to be missing. I feel like Psicosis should have been a bigger star. Not on the level of Rey, but more than a designated jobber. -

At least once. 11/2/98 on Nitro. He also beat him a couple of other times, one was a four-way for the CW title that I can't find out who pinned who, and another was a tag match, same thing. I think Psycosis pinned Rey in the tag match on the 1/4/99 Georgia Dome show. He pinned Blitzkrieg to win the title in the fourway. I can't say how frustrated I was they did not give Psic a month with the belt. I don't even know why they did it, unless Rey wanted Psicosis to get a chance. I'm watching different Rey vs Psicosis matches from WCW syndication and I'm impressed they manage to mix it up each time. I saw one that was mostly mat work, even had Rey doing a suplex or two. Is there a master list of Rey/Psicosis matches? -

Did Psicosis ever pin Rey in WCW? -

Believe me, I wasn't laughing. I had not heard of the PWG spot. -

I think of when WCW did that "They aren't following the script. How are they going to finish the match?" Followed by Booker T defending the title against Jarrett. -

I don't necessarily hate comedy in wrestling. I hate pure comedy matches because I usually don't find it funny. But comedy is subjective so I can be wrong. But I can see a regular match with a few comedic elements amuse me. I guess I think comedy should be used in wrestling with a scalpel and not a hammer. As for being ashamed of wrestling, I am the opposite. I was actually going to say the Ryan fans are ashamed of it. Laughing at it to show "See we don't take this seriously." But I elected not to, since it generalizing and people genuinely find it funny. -

I'm not sure what proposing to his girlfriend means. Every couple together longer than two months gets engaged. I mean until you're married you're just dating. That said I'm not going to say Ryan is a bad wrestler. I saw him on Wrestle Society X and thought he had a lot of potential. I thought he did good work in TNA. I can think he does a stupid spot while thinking he has some talent. But its not any kind of outrage. As a fan I became immune watching WCW in 2000. I got to the point I see something like this I call it stupid and go about my business. I'll discuss it online out of boredom. -

Joey Ryan is nothing like Jimmy Valiant. Valiant drew money and was over. There is a significant difference between laughing at yourself and demeaning yourself. -

I use to watch Hustle, but it existed in a vacuum. Its dumb crap had a rhyme and reason. It wasn't the wrestling equivalent of Tim and Eric. -
Yes but the big difference is the Indians were lovable losers. I like Corbin, think he is a talented big guy. But being on the same roster as Braun makes him look like some tall guy. I thought he would work best as a Wyatt underling.

It didn't start but it wasn't featured like it is now. It has a place in opening matches at county fairs. -

He would not have been doing that garbage in Memphis either. There is a way to do comedy stuff without killing every ones credibility. Now I know the natural response (unfortunately) is to say something something no kayfabe, But even in something "fictional", you characters need credibility, I actually think Ryan is a decent enough worker without the stupid spots. But does the dick spot really draw money. Do fans go to shows specifically to see it? -

Comedy wrestling sucks. It fails as wrestling and comedy. I have seen matches with comedic elements that work. But most comedy wrestling is garbage. Well let me dial that back. The Young Bucks super kicks are funny. You would think throwing fifty a match they could do one right. Also Foley wasting a bump on something like Joey Ryan is amusing.
