  1. Surely with your sunny disposition, you understand trying to find the good in a bad situation. Nobody wants it to fail, which it will not get near ten thousand. But it will do a very strong number for an indy show. If it bombs, which is less likely than then getting ten thousand. At least people will not talk about the fake indy boom as a talking point and the Bucks will be humbled. its not good but in our current world you piss in a Mr Coffee and pray for Taster's Choice.
  2. I view it as win/win. If it does well, wrestling gets a boost and has a shot at moving on to a better style. If it does poorly, Cody and the Bucks are taken down a peg. Or it could be in the middle and Cody and the Bucks spin it as a success.
  3. The difficult thing in comparing the Samoan Swat Team to the Usos is the SST worked mostly squashes (which are more fun than the Bucks/Usos combined) but when they did do longer form matches, they matched anything the Usos could do.
  4. I am pretty confident in saying that Usos vs New Day is the best tag team rivalry of the modern era, maybe even more than the Smackdown Six era, and should be mentioned in the same breath as Rock N Roll vs Midnight Express. I was just thinking how not only have I never seen them have a bad match, I don't remember seeing them have one anything less than great. Watch 2010 Usos, they were pretty bad. it took them a minute to figure it out.
  5. WCW Power Hour was initially on Friday nights.
  6. Owen didn't write any of it. He did not seem comfortable with doing any of it on TV either. Callihan talking about how much money he makes referring to a TNA Twitch taping he worked for free (or at best very little) is the only funny thing here.
  7. Which is fine, but his defense for PWG/NJPW seems to be some variant of "Its the most popular there for the best."
  8. I think sometimes older people compensate for getting older by overpraising whatever is hot at the moment. "See see I'm not like other old people. I like what you kids like,"
  9. Yes. The women's Rumble has become my test to see if people are over rating women's matches. Because I thought it was one of the worst Rumble matches I ever saw. Which before would be 2009 (the one in Michigan). I liked the Chamber match much more than the main event of the show. Which I found to be a slog to get thru until Reigns vs Braun closing stretch. But that was done to death last year.
  10. I hope Braun ends Asuka's "streak"*. What is this our business. You got a Braun hating mouse in your pocket? *Feigning an injury to forfeit a belt is a loss.
  11. She started a Gofundme and has her name on it. I think you have to use your real name there don't you?
  12. But how much was that ten, twenty, ten dollars?
  13. It seems like anyone who would want to retaliate already knows her name and where she lives. While I understand the logic. It seems shitty its okay to use the accused name in the press, not applicable here since Elgin is sorta famous. I think a lot of crimes would be better off not being reported on until they are resolved after a through criminal investigation. But I don't know how that would work.
  14. There weren't any plans other than Steam and the PS4 version that seems to have backing from New Japan, but the Steam version has been apparently well beyond their expectations so there's a greater than zero chance it could go to the Switch, Especially since indie games have found a real home there. That is what I am hoping for.
  15. I doubt Vince ever hated Jarrett that much. Even if WWF tried to lie about Jarrett holding them up. He did them a favor by putting over Chyna. When he could have mailed them the belt and went home. Instead he requested the money he was owed.
  16. Well the womens Rumble was far better than the mens. I dont know why I just felt far too much delaying and stalling. The women's rumble was terrible. Half of them did not know how how to go over the top rope.
  17. I think Heyman did a great job protecting Braun and Joe in their losses to Brock. Expressing emotions Brock won't or can't.
  18. Any chance they could port Fire Pro World to Switch.
  19. I don't think Harley's tourney was on TV, just referenced on commentary during his coronation.
  20. It depends on how big a Tito Santana fan you are. It depends on how big a Tito Santana fan you are. It depends on how big a Tito Santana fan you are. Tito can't work alone. I can't imagine Elgin even ranking in a top ten of worst people to ever work for IWA MS. I mean you can talk about "whataboutism" or something. But its hard to see how one thinks its okay to work with Ian Rotten but Elgin is just a bridge too far.
  21. Its an issue in entertainment right now. All of big media are trying to do their own streaming services and I don't think its going to work out in the long run. There is only so much money to go around. Wrestling is just a reflection of that.
  22. I'm glad WCW didn't follow that logic when creating the cruiser weight division. Who knew that all the mini wrestlers were from Mexico? Most of the good ones are. I thought the minis matches in 97 WWF were really good. I think it could be done without being degrading to anyone. Find talented minis and give them larger than life characters. Something full sized wrestling has been missing for years.
  23. How is that a squash match? If a commentator at one point in the match says that the person who ultimately won showed 'great resiliency' there's no way it's a squash I'd say a match where one talent is in control start to finish counts as a squash. There is more to a squash than just one guy dominating the match. Most of the matches listed here I would not count as a squash. I think something that was given a build and goes longer than five minutes cannot be a squash. Anyway here are a few of my picks. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhx04g Barry Windham vs Gary Wolfe Ted Dibiase vs Dave Stoudimire
  24. WWE has always said they changed plans, which I have never really believed. I don't think it was planned like the Mega Powers angle, but Bryan was featured on TV and booked too strongly for him not to have been in the mix to some degree.
  25. They actually took World title status away from Backlund. Backlund was routinely being ranked near the bottom of the top ten. This continued with Hogan as champion briefly, but I think near the first Mania, PWI realized they were looking silly.
