I disagree, I think it did significant damage to Angle and to a lesser extent the belt. I think it is the first big sign that WWF booking was going south. He also was never made to look as useless as Punk did last night. He would get his share of offense in on guys like Rock, Austin, Undertaker and Triple H. As for bringing up Swagger and Miz. Both of those reigns did damage to the belts as well. That is part of the reason Punk has had the belt for so long, to restore credibility to the belt. Which last night flushed away nearly a year of work.

There is looking like a chickenshit heel and looking like a bitch. Last night Punk looked like a pure bitch. Which damages the belt, damages the roster and damages the company because a bitch has been champion for so long. There is no way Flair or Savage would have agreed to that finish to that match. Look at Savage's 89 matches with Warrior and Flair with Sting. They may have put the other guys over, but they got in significant offense. If they were going to do that type of finish, they should have given Punk more offense. Something to show why he is the World Champion. It would have helped Ryback to show he can overcome real adversity and is not a super cheap video game boss with dumb A.I. Punk came out of the match looking terrible and Ryback is about the same.

Best Worker in the World in the '80's

Tully and Arn had a really good match with Mighty Wilbur. Who at his best was not very good. -
I think they were on the verge of a huge breakthrough in 2007. Then something happened...

I don't think half of those were really bad. Job Squad, Gilberg and the Oddities were entertaining undercard acts. Whose segments rarely went long, usually get in and get out. GTV on its own was not a bad idea, just sucks it never had a payoff. Shane and the Posse were fine at the time. Shane was at least playing a chickenshit and had morphed into a Tommy Dreamer tribute band. Kane and Pac were a good team and the segments were good more often than they were bad.

Those never occupied much airtime. Beaver Cleavage did not ever last a full three weeks. The debut match with Christian was actually a good TV match with both guys working hard.

Like people who can't spell where and there? You are just charming.

The main issue is fixing the shitty writing on Raw. Right now things have improved greatly, but its too early to tell if it sticks. It seems like losing Gerwitz did a lot of good.

I think things would be better if they fully did away with the brand extension. That would mean merging the belts* and ending all pretenses of separate brands. Right now is the worst of both worlds. *You could keep the United States and Intercontinental titles. Since at this point the U.S belt is basically occupying space, the European belt occupied.

My advice would be to try to buy things like old wrestling magazines of the era. They are fairly cheap and give you a good overview on the kayfabe world of wrestling. I just watched the 87 TV on 24/7, and half of 88, so I can help on some things.

Flair did not get his night with Precious. Ronnie Garvin was waiting in drag and kicked the crap outta Flair. Watching 88 NWA and I do not understand why these men are falling over themselves for Precious.

He was not exactly the elephant man. When he was young he had a boyish charm. Something just aged him in dog years. -
"He's ambitiously stupid" - Why Scott Keith's new book is scary bad

They should have had Lex cut a promo burying Flair, calling him a coward and had Barry come out to defend him, if they were dead set on the heel turn. -

That is a load since Rick was really over and would have had a good midcard spot regardless. -
But, Dirty Pillows.....

Guessing they have Big Show come out from under the ring instead of Brock. -
That is a complete pile of horseshit. Maybe you want to waste your life watching things you don't like/respect, but don't expect anyone else not to see what a huge waste that is.

I remember Dynamite Kid saying the UK guys were all anxious to get on the German tours because the pay was good.

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/the-v-spot-fe...2/10/12/typhoon I talked to Fred "Typhoon" Ottman the other night. Aside from audio problems it was a good time. One of the nicest people I have ever met. -
Not true, you are a contributor on my blog.

Would love to see all the money Batista and Edge would have drawn in early 90s WCW. I am not holding being in an easier environment to draw against them. But trying to act like that environment is not the only reason they drew more than Sting is ridiculous.

I think there was a very good chance Gorilla was told to harp on it.
-
With most of the the WWF undercard, Gorilla was trying to fill time as best he could. I think anybody that would hurt, was not amounting to much anyway.
-
Of course the wrestlers never considered that Monsoon was bringing it up, to get over the idea of hooking the leg. That he was getting the show over.

Kofi Kingston, Otunga is a roid guy so at least he has an excuse.
