Miz is not a go over clean character. He is the Honky Tonk Man. There were a thousand ways he could of won that would have put heat on him. Pinning Lawler clan was not one of them. Especially when it leads to another Cena Wrestlemania main event. They could of did something special but had to hack it out as always. Maybe they did not expect Lawler to be so over. But with the build up this had having Miz win cleanly was the absolute worst finish. I know my fault for caring. Anybody would of been better than Edge. Big Show would have been far better. Or they could of had Christian take Dolph's spot. Let Rey win and weasel Edge in. At least a three way would of diluted the Edge aspect.

I did not watch the Raw Chamber match but I thought the SD match was really good. Anybody but Edge. Miz is the Honky Tonk Man. There is nothing wrong with being the Honky Tonk Man. in fact the Honky Tonk Man is awesome. But the Honky Tonk Man does not pin legends clean in MSG with the Shake Rattle and Roll. Its not that Lawler lost. Its that he lost clean to the Miz's finisher after that build up. Also lets be real Miz is as over as he is going to get. The time to make him a real star was 2009 and they cut his nuts off again and again. People are going to try to say "Oh but he's champion" but its different. Lawler getting a title reign would of been more special than anything Miz and Cena are doing at Wrestlemania. Im just sick of WWE and getting fucked anytim I invest in something. I'm just gonna go back to wallowing in the past.

Lawler should of won. they had a chance to do something special and they chose same old same old. Glad to see Christian come back but Edge is still World champion and Christian will be jobbed out on tv to build up Del Rio. Only thing that keeps me from hating WWE completely are the DVDs and the on demand service. Otherwise they should fuck off.

For a second there I thought we might not see John Cena win his forty fifth world title in five years.

[1996-12-16-WWF-Raw] Interview: Bret Hart / Steve Austin vs Vader
Victator replied to Loss's topic in December 1996
Shame they never had a ppv match. They have two more good matches in early 97. but those were ruined by that stupid fucking split screen they insisted on using for guest commentators.- 11 replies

I think Bret did say Vince wanted to bring in Bruce in 97. But Bruce fucked it up when he stiffed Austin outside the ring.
-
Not really the same though is it? Cena/Micheals was a match that was pretty much the nd of the feud. Cena won it cleanly. They did a few things afterward. But it was not like the Austin heel turn that needed to carry the company for the next year.
-
Cena won at Wrestlemania and that is the only one that matters.

Had a good match with Arn on a TBS show. Jackson keeps out wrestling Arn and Arn hits the Spinebuster out of nowhere for the win. On a Georgia show from 82 there is a good Jackson vs Tom Pritchard match that goes to a draw I think.
-
I think Rey Mysterio vs Cena is a big money match with either Cena as heel or doing Warrior vs Hogan.

They had Big Daddy V back in 2008. It sounded like they did not want to release him but had to for health reasons. He had pneumonia and was trying to work thru it.
-
I dont really get why he wouldn't do a match. You see celebrities and athletes from other sports doing it. Why wouldnt Rock take a couple of million and do something he has done thousands of times before?
-
He actually went further saying "I had one hip when I beat up Goldust during your biggest show of the year."

Watching the Flair/Garvin series I'm not sure what Finlay could do to Flair.

I think WCW deserves credit for the Giant. Up til 98 they did a great job booking him and making sure he stayed a special attraction. Better job than WWE ever did with him.

[1996-11-16-ECW-November to Remember] Sabu & Rob Van Dam vs The Eliminators
Victator replied to Loss's topic in November 1996
Love the spot where Sabu tosses a chair at Saturn as he had RVD in a chinlock. Saturn goes nits and beats the shit out of Sabu. I liked it because I had no idea if Saturn was legit pissed off as the chair came out of nowhere.- 5 replies

This does remind me that I'm very happy about no NFL or MLB interrupting my favorite shows.

Oh yeah sorry.

What does he say about Ralphus? With Bulldog/Rock I think they thought they were getting the British Bulldog who left in 97. By 99 the back injury had finished him. Never seen any wrestler that visibly in pain just walking to the ring.
-
By January there were like only three or four guys clearly ahead of him on the roster. Shamrock was still getting a big push before he got hurt. X-Pac was a sub at that ppv. Loss does Jericho mention Mr.Hughes? I heard that Hughes was really pissing guys off at the time.

They rather solely own a piece of shit than share something good.

I don't think Piper attacked the WWF til they attacked him.

Honestly Flair would have to do something really heinous for me to side with TNA against him.
