I really want Okada v. Tanahashi to be a sub-20 minute, bomb throwing sprint. In my ideal match it would go 10-12 mins but that is completely unrealistic. In all honestly it's probably unrealistic to assume it won't go thirty or more, but I think this match up could use something different.

Suzuki/Sakuraba is the match you're most interested in? It is for me. I'll admit to being shocked that, on this card, that is anyone's most anticipated match. I remain amazed that people think Okada v. Tanahashi is even a very good series, let alone an all time classic series. But I"ve largely given up trying to understand it and just accept it for what it is.

Suzuki/Sakuraba is the match you're most interested in? Easily, not even close. I love high end shootstyle, love both guys when they are on, and the build through the tag league for their match was fucking awesome.

Barring some unforeseen disaster I'll be watching this show live. The other day on Twitter I ranked the matches in order of my interest, so I figured I'd bring that over here as well. I'll steal the Voices of Wrestling gimmick and rank my over all interest in match on a scale of 1-10 next to each bout in parenthesis. 1. Suzuki v. Sakuraba (9) 2. Styles v. Naito (8) 3. Nakamura v. Ibushi (7) 4. IWGP Junior tag title (6) 5. Ishii v. Makabe (6) 6. Bullet Club v. Honma and Friends (5) 7. Yano and NOAH guys v. Suzuki-Gun (4) 8. Okada v. Tanahashi (3) 9. Shibata/Goto v. Anderson/Gallows (1) 10. Omega v. Taguchi (0) Interested to see how watching this live will effect my viewing experience. I will probably live tweet it to, though I'm not sure of that yet. I really hope that they do something out of the box with the main event (I'm crossing my fingers for a bomb throwing sprint), but I'm not holding my breathe.

Just did our Wrestling Culture year end show with me, Dave and Tim Livingston. Will post my tentative top ten here when the show drops.

Try to attend at least 6 indie shows. Find a way to get paid to write about wrestling at least once.

This is completely off the main topic here but this IS kind of annoying. I kind of wish people would just stick to using the forum usernames regardless of how well they know each other if just for the sake of the rest of the posters. For future reference, people can simply call me "right" if they prefer it to my username.

Buddy Rose and El Dandy 1 and 2

If people are universal in having the "it's just wrestling!" Approach I don't care. But if it's going to be used solely for the purpose of insulating Dave or whoever from criticism it's bullshit and I'll say so.

Best part of the match

I was looking for a bit more specificity

What lesser known NJPW matches?

Jeff worked ROH. So did Kobashi if you count that

They are clearly building to Patron v. Top guys which is the smart thing to do

Best female on the world is either Satomura or Kana

Punk did not definitively win a single match of note with Heyman in his corner. He became Miz 2.0, a guy who flukes his way through and is the ultimate wimp who couldn't hang with the real stars. It's an abysmal way to try and elevate someone.

Punk was vastly worse off with Heyman

Who are the top 10 lower mid-carders in history?
Dylan Waco replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in 2016
Frankly I think this whole thing is just a Trojan horse way for Parv to justify votes for "over" acts and go with his standard "you can't just count work" themes -
Gotta agree with Kris. Breaks my heart that the bunkhouse battle royal doesn't seem to exist in full

Don't kill Sorrows buzz. Rollins should be a mid-carder but isn't

Invader 1 actually would be my top pick even over Nishimura

NXT Takeover [R]evolution Reaction Show
Dylan Waco replied to soup23's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Completely disagree with Matt. I enjoyed this show more than most of the reaction shows I've heard/been on, even if I don't completely agree with all of the statements/details of what was said. One quick note - I thought it was sort of implied by the panel that Charlotte was better than Sasha, but I thought Sasha was the better worker in that match and is the better talent at this point. Curious to see Pete in particular talk about how he would rate Sasha in comparison to Charlotte.- 14 replies
