[1995-03-18-WCW-Saturday Night] Vader and Dave Sullivan
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This kind of reminds me of the Vader/Gorilla angle except he doesn't squash Nick. I like how Bobby at first approves but then says that's enough.- 4 replies

New Jack saying "How do you kill someone who's already dead?" was great.

[1995-03-18-SMW-TV] Jim Cornette, Tracy Smothers and The Undertaker
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
Undertaker talking about the Gangstas is just surreal. -
[1995-03-18-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher and Bill Dundee
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This is kind of an example why Memphis died a slow death during the final days. Christopher bashes all the old guys while he's a babyface and says guys like Dundee are nothing. Then you have a main event with Lawler vs Bill Dundee. If the old guys mean nothing, why should people pay to watch two old guys that mean nothing? -
I didn't know Doug Gilbert was back so soon after Eddie's death? Good interview with Bill Dundee. He even name drops Muhammad Ali and John Wayne.

[1995-03-17-CMLL] Sangre Chicana vs La Fiera (Hair vs Hair)
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This had a great tope by Chicana that sends Fiera into the 3rd row and some nice punches. However, Loss is right that the clipping hurts it overall. Lackluster finish to say the least. -
[1995-03-17-JWP-Jazz & Soul] Mayumi Ozaki vs Dynamite Kansai (Street Fight)
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This match sucked until Kansai hit a gusher and they decided to go into the ring. The "lets drag each other by the hair through the audience and choke each other with chains" got old about a minute in. Once they got in the ring, it got good even though I hate the finish. I get piledrivers are sold like a dropkick in Japan but god damn. Ozaki is piledriven through a table and no sells it 2 minutes later? Like what the hell? I'm not expecting her to sell it like death but still.- 13 replies

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
So that wasn't an angle and they left for real? Doesn't Damien do a lot of work behind the scenes like bookkeeping for them? It doesn't seem to be an angle. They were on a talk show tonight and Damien said they left the promotion completely including backstage stuff. Apparently it's over the Consejo guys coming in. Not good news for Perro Jr. -

The Santo vs AAA case got delayed cause Marisela Peña wanted to force Santo to unmask in court and Santo refused. But the good news for Santo is he's probably going to gain the new Familia De Tijuana( Damien 666, Halloween, Bestia 666 and Super Nova) after they left Perros del Mal earlier this week. -
The episode of USWA tv where Lawler gets run over by Eddie Gilbert is interesting. First The Gilberts were fired for attacking Eddie Marlin, Lawler and Brickhouse Brown after a battle royal. Lawler and Brown beg Marlin to bring them back. Then in a interview at the studio, Marlin fires the Gilberts because Eddie said it was a rinky dink promotion. This leads to Lawler getting run down and walking away. Marlin again rehires them. If I remember right, a lot of people actually called the cops on Gilbert. Just a crazy episode. Also features Dirty White Boy giving some fat woman a bladejob right on camera.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5m50q_re...ld-s-grea_sport Rey Mysterio and Billy kidman vs World's Greatest Tag team 7/27/2003 WWE Vengance. I haven't seen this in a couple years but I remember enjoying it. Rey is so good in this.

This is AAA done right. Great dives by the tecnicos, awesome rudo work and a hot crowd. Loss is right that Fuerza was king here. Loved the fast low blow he did and then Octagon does one in the 3rd fall. My favorite part of the match is Santo's crazy dive to Panther laid down on the floor. Panther sells that great. Rey/Psicosis are good too in this match with Rey almost breaking his neck on a botched tope con holio into a head scissors on the floor. The fact that Fueraza vs Octagon could happen in 2012 now that Juvi is back in AAA fascinates me. Especially with Octagon rudo and Fuerza as a tecnico.

Vince still can't help but interrupt during a interview. Ernie Ladd is a awesome interview. So much emotion.

[1995-03-13-NJPW-Muscle Storm] Wild Pegasus vs Koji Kanemoto
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
So far this is my match of the year. I agree with what you guys are saying about Benoit. This was almost worked american style circa 2000 just non stop. The finish was a little weird though. -
[1995-03-11-WCW-Saturday Night] Steven Regal and Bobby Eaton
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
So much to love about this. Regal's english man glasses and him faking a apology for what he did last week. Eaton's awesome German suplex shirt with orange pants. Eaton dropping the A bomb and having to get bleeped. Great segment.- 7 replies

[1995-03-11-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler vs Bill Dundee vs Brian Christopher
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This was ridiculous even for Memphis. Three Ref bumps AND chain/strap finishes? And who was the heel in this? I guess Dundee? -
[1995-03-07-ECW-TV] Interview: Terry Funk & The Sandman
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
Yeah what was the deal with saying he didn't know if he was a WWF or WCW wrestler? Weird promo but awesome at the same time. -

I don't get the Okada hype. He sold ok but no way should he be IWGP champion.

[1995-03-06-WWF-Raw] Shawn Michaels vs Davey Boy Smith
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
This is one of the first matches I really remember liking when I became a fan. Shawn's bumping is on another level here and I really liked Sid and Cornette here too. Cornette put over Sid as a monster being afraid of him and such. The match might not be great as it seemed the crowd wasn't into it much and finish kinda sucked, but I enjoyed it. -
[1995-03-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Vader and Hulk Hogan
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in March 1995
Jimmy Hart has to be one of the most bravest managers of all time. He wasn't afraid of Lawler or Flair. This was typical Hogan though.- 7 replies
