ADR vs Sheamus from Main Event this week was pretty good. It was weird to see a Last Man Standing for a B feud on a C level show like Main event. I've been a WWE fan since about 1995 and my current feeling for the product is probably the lowest it's been since 2004 when HHH was running wild. Raw is just a chore to watch these days with all the rematches. Usos/Wyatts, Rhodes bros/Rybaxel, etc. it's just too much. Also them running the same match on Raw that they ran the previous Friday on Smackdown makes Smackdown just useless to watch. It's a shame because that used to be WWE's best show. The bad commentary also kills the shows. I have to watch Raw on mute because it gets unbearable hearing the bad jokes from Lawler and JBL's talking points. I wish they would put Saxton and Regal on Smackdown.

  4. I started reading Apter mags in the late 90's when I think Apter was gone. I used to think Mr. Ooh La La, Cheetah Master, Scoot Andrews and JJ the Ring Card guy were the biggest indie wrestlers out there. I remember seeing a picture of a bloody Tommy Dreamer and thinking ECW was real. I think this was around early 97 before Barely Legal.
  5. I liked Arturo Rivera and the fat guy that did CMLL ring announcing that died in his ringside seat back in the mid 90's. Rivera was great when he would break into random english when announcing Americans.
  6. Reading through this thread and saw no AAA mentioned. I haven't seen much of AAA at that time but the LLL formation probably should be included. That's from October 1999 when Cibernetico's contract with AAA was void and he made his own promotion/group LLL with Los Vipers. If you have any space, the final Perro Aguayo Sr. match could be included from Verano de Escandalo. I remember that being a big deal at the time. Also any of the Xochitl Hamada vs Pentagon feud or Felino's short AAA run. Another match that could be included is: Dick Togo/Satanico/Pirata Morgan/ Pierroth Jr vs Ricky Marvin/Ultimo Guerrero/Super Parka/Negro Casas from 11/25 CMLL Japan. Phil recently covered it at Segunda Caida and it's a fun as hell match like those UWF matches Hamada ran in the early 90's.
  7. I'm guessing it's because they want to set standards low for the current product? If they showed clips of old shows, People would see how much better it was than today and watch those instead of the current stuff. I don't know why they don't do it either.
  8. Current Favorite Wrestler To Watch: This is tricky since I have so many. I'm going to go with Mr. Nice. A big jacked up guy that can't wrestle in a dirty ring in Monterrey. His matches are always entertaining. Last Fun Match You Saw: Big E vs Rusev from MITB Wrestler You Want To See More Of: Super Parka. I've been watching a lot of mid 00's indie Lucha Libre and he's been the highlight. Especially his hardcore match with Halloween from 2005 Lucha Libre Azteca. Last Live Show Attended: The last NXT tv tapings in June. Becky Lynch's debut, Enzo's return. Match You Are Looking Forward To Watching Soon The Most: Ambrose vs Seth Rollins Last Fun Interview/Promo You Saw: Enzo's promo backstage after his return. Ambrose is a great promo but Enzo is the best in the business alone with Rush. Last Interesting Thing You Read About Wrestling: Dylan's TNA Impact review where he name dropped Brazzers and Doug Somers. Last Worthwhile Wrestling Podcast You Heard: The Wrestling Snapshot with Dylan on Chris Adams or Meltz shitting on TNA. Most Fun You've Had Watching Wrestling Lately:Adam Rose vs Heath Slater from last weeks Superstars. The Hornswoggle/Rosita showdown was great.
  9. I enjoyed the show but it was hard to hear Steven sometimes. Dylan was booming loud though.
  10. How much of the current WWE fanbase even knows what Saturday Night Main Event or Clash of the champions is? I guess they would have to show clips and give a brief history if they cared.

  13. I wasn't the biggest fan of AAA in those days cause it was after Pena died and Konnan took over. He brought in a lot of foreign guys. Some were good(Jack Evans, Kenzo Suzki) but most were awful(Teddy Hart, R-Truth, X-Pac, Jeff Jarrett). It caused a lot of the Mexican guys to leave and it took years for AAA to get better.
  14. Pena didn't have a widow. I'm guessing you are talking about his sister? Vamp/Konnan had been feuding for years. If I remember right, Pena's sister and her husband brought in Vampiro to go against the foreign guys and Konnan. Also Vampiro is a guardian angel in Mexico now so I guess that's why he dressed like that. Those were dark days in AAA so I can't remember much.
  15. So is Aries supposed to be a heel this week? It makes sense for ECIII to say that though.
  16. July 4th is the big F4W convention at the UFC show. Liillian does some show in Vegas every Saturday night.
  17. Ask about when he turned in the US to join Team Canada in WCW or his run as Super Crazy's tag partner in WWE mid 08.
  18. 1992 USWA. Mostly for the Moondogs/Jarrett Lawler feud and Eric Embry/Dirty White Boy feuds. Plus the rise of Brian Christopher from New Kid on the block to Too Sexy Brian.
  19. I don't know if you are still doing this or not but Halloween vs. Super Parka from Gimnasio Nuevo Leon 10/23/2005 should be added. I saw clips of this a couple years ago but finally saw the whole match. Just an insane bloodbath with Halloween's back looking like a war zone. It involves tables, lighttubes and brawling in the crowd. Plus Volador Jr's half parka/half Volador Sr. mask.

Dunn seems to be even sabotaging the Shield. How he didn't get fired after the cameras missed Reigns spear to Slater on Monday baffles me. That seems to be happening more and more this year.

Can't wait for you to see the BFF"s vs Bayley/Emma/Paige match that airs in a couple weeks on NXT. Paige working the crowd like Ricky Morton was funny.

Mr. NXT was outstanding as was Bo's retrospective video. The NXT tapings tonight were better than Takeover I thought. Kidd/Neville was also better on the tapings than the takeover match.

Worked fine for me except for a slight pause during the beginning of the Zayn match. In fact, I had more problems during the Legends House show than during NXT.
  24. Hero didn't make the main roster cause he never improved. In fact, I thought he got worse after the Regal series. He had some good matches with Harper towards the end but besides that, he seemed not to care. Rollins isn't going to become the next Justin Gabriel cause Rollins actually has Now yo a personality and isn't boring as hell without the 450 like Gabriel is. Now you wanna talk about a guy that shouldn't be getting TV time, that's CJ Parker. He's got a awful gimmick, gets go away heat and isn't that great a wrestler.

Alicia got more heel heat than Orton, Batista and most of the heel except Wyatt. She might be my favorite person in WWE right now.
