A "Fuck em up Rosa" chant, I like this crowd.

I unironically popped for JR putting over the PWI Match of the Year Award over like he was in Mid South circa 1985.

LOL at Wardlow macking at PVZ not giving an F her mans was right there.

I gotta hand it to Jericho, nothing that would guarantee heel heat more than calling Daniel Garcia a "sports entertainer".

Jericho's Sebastian Bach phase dovetails nicely with 2.0 and their 80s coked out promos.

Also I apricate Regal nicking Inoki's gimmick of slapping the piss out of someone as a greeting.

Control Your Narrative: when you totally get Fight Club
sek69 replied to KawadaSmile's topic in Pro Wrestling
He's been making an awful lot of less than subtle Nazi references, like referring to the number 88 then acting surprised-but-not-really when told of the Nazi connotations (88 is used by white supremacists because H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, so 88=Heil Hitler). -
I just bought tickets for my third AEW show coming up in April, and each time it cost $29 + tax for decent seats about midlevel. Similar seats would cost probably twice that if not more for WWE.

It's comforting to know with all that's going on in the world that the Boogie Woogie Man is still doing Boogie Woogie Man shit in 2022.

Yeah Dom already has more aptitude than the others, especially since I got the impression the Davids were only in wrestling to get approval from their fathers and didn't really want to be there. If anything, him staying in WWE and only learning The Correct Way to Work will hurt him more in the long run. He would be much better off doing an indy run, maybe a run in AAA, just to get familiar with different styles.

According to Dave, WCW's biggest gate was the Hogan-Goldberg Nitro in the Georgia Dome, which was just shy of a $1 million gate. In other news that will make some folks happy, Denise Salcedo announced that she's doing an interview with Joey Janela where he will be explaining why he is not re signing with AEW.

True, but that was mostly due to WWE threatening to sue their balls off for doing an angle that heavily implied Hall and Nash still worked for the competition while doing as much of the same mannerisms as possible.

Yeah Scott getting a free pass on what by all accounts should have been another racially questionable 90s WWF gimmick is a real underrated testament to his ability. The amount of "when I told my mother/uncle/other family member that Razor wasn't really Latino, they told me they don't care they still consider him one of us" was hilarious and heartwarming.

Well there was that weird period where she was dating New Jack and posting photos of her face all bloody (like wrestling bloody not domestic violence bloody). Plus her daughter works for AEW as a photographer and she might not want to create any family drama.

WWE likes to check boxes for their HOF inductions, and Sharmell hits two of the things they are looking for,

Doing the usual between-the-lines interpretation of Dave when he talks about these sort of things, it seems like WWE wants to do with Cody what AEW did with Punk and not actually say he's coming but dropping all sorts of hints so people expect him to show up. If you notice, they kept saying "nightmare" and purposely scripted that backstage Seth promo to get the crowd to chant for Cody (and they didn't drown it out like WWE has been known to do with chants they don't want).

NJPW World announced in honor of his passing, they will make available for free the Nash/Hall/Chono vs Mutoh/Steiner Bros six man from 1997.

Yeah the best times would have been either immediately when news broke that he was leaving, or tonight in Jacksonville just for the symbolic "middle finger to AEW" aspect. Now it's been long enough that Cody's been replaced as the Hot Wrestling Topic about 5 times since, AEW had one of the most ridiculously stacked PPVs ever, and now Cody going to WWE would make him come off like a geek for leaving the hot company to go to a place where he's likely to get pushed aside when it matters for old men and celebrities.

If for no other reason Kenny is very fluent in Japanese so without him (and with Shida going back to Japan for a while recently) the communication barriers for Emi would probably be pretty rough. There's always going to be the whole "wrestling is a universal language" deal, but there's only so far that can take you working a 5 minute Dark match.
