I love that I know exactly what happened based on bubba's reaction to any Roman match.
-
Bryan and Dave made it clear that whatever happens here, this is only the beginning of the Brock/Roman program. Heyman being the coach that goes to the other team and spills all the secrets could be a fun angle.
-
Also I bet Zelina is glad she gave up her attempt to unionize so she could win a big match on a show paid for by the government that killed her father.

Legit shocked they put over Woods, him losing in the finals after him lobbying so hard on social media to being back King of the Ring is such a WWE move (for the fabled HEAT), maybe MBS is a New Day fan?
-
Yeah he was pushed as the top guy in NXT but they clearly never saw him as an important part of the main roster. They kept him in developmental way longer than needed and apparently only saw him as manager material.

WWE TV 10/18 - 10/24 Did you know Rod Stewart plagiarized a Brazilian artist?

Taker as Pitbull's hype man in Saudi is not a thing I was expecting to see on my Twitter feed today, I tell you what. -
Punk doesn't even have to say anything. Just showing up to work so happy speaks volumes.

I mean, it's not even that they are stupid. Vince is undoubtedly a smart guy who at one time knew his business and the way it was trendy better than everyone. The problem is he's in his 70s and can't possibly relate to current trends, nor does he surround himself with people who do. Like most record label execs are old AF, but they surround themselves with people in their 20s-302 who understand current trends and make sure their product still resonates with the kids.

So in an interview with Fightful, Deonna Purazzo said she was talking to Scott D'Amore about having more women from Impact and AEW going through the Forbidden Door and mentioned Britt was having the same conversation with TK. So perhaps we'll finally see more of that with the TBS title opening more opportunities for more women's matches.

I think I have a soft spot for Ton D'Angelo since his finisher is the same one (+the pinning combo) I gave my self-insert character in TNM when I was a kid. -

TBF they both are welcome to step on me, but I stand corrected! Maybe Vince is right about the similar name thing after all. -

Jacy scorpioning on the floor was scary enough, but her catching Io' dive afterward wa even more terrifying. I know she was probably on auto pilot but either the ref or the docs probably should have grabbed her before that. -

Still don't know why Santos Escobar is toiling in NXT when he's everything Vince has wanted for the last, what, 15 years or so? A Hispanic star fluent in English and Spanish, who's also a great wrestler and a good looking dude. -

I hope that "training in the woods" deal leads to the reveal that Von Wagner is actually a sasquatch who decided to get into pro wrestling . -

Holy crap, Aichner catching the bigger Creed bro and hercing him up was impressive as fuck. -
The Jersey Triad stuff was prime "the bosses aren't paying attention to anything other than the nWo so lets have fun" WCW awesomeness.

I mean the only way I could see someone wanting to jump from AEW to WWE is if Vince breaks the bank, which he might do just to attempt to fuck with them. Problem is Tony can match him dollar for dollar if he wants so even that would potentially be another thing that blows up in their faces. Besides, considering how pretty much everyone who signed "don't go to AEW" money deals ended up getting thrown in the cost cutting thresher, who would even want to accept that offer anyway? The only one I can see making the jump is Brian Cage since he's pretty much Vince's wet dream come to life and apparently isn't happy with how he's been used if his wife's twitter is any indication. I don't see any of the top level players in AEW even considering making the jump especially considering most of them either have worked there before or had negotiations with them prior to AEW forming. (also not counting Chris Jericho in this since I assume he'll probably get a WWE Old Timer Run before it's all said and done)

Yeah all signs point to him being a legit solid dude and seems like he's the next "no one has a bad word to say about him" guy. -

This is like when the Hulkamania boom kicked off and suddenly everyone who was around before looked like a relic of the past. Everyone from OG NXT just seems like JTTS Pedro Morales in this new era. -

The funniest thing is TK is so obviously channeling Vince from Memphis when he does that and all the supposed experts fall for it every time. -

IMO it might because they've been an afterthought since winning the belts and even more so in the TWO POINT OH era. Plus their gimmick doesn't seem to work in this company either. They try to come off as cool and egdy but instead (to me at least) look like whiny tryhards. Like, yeah, they rock in the ring but literally every other part of their act has go-away heat. -
Yeah it was like watching two rams colliding with each other to establish dominance. People dismissing it as "trading strikes" kinda miss the point.

I mean, I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan so even the last 20 years of WWE malaise is a drop in the bucket by comparison. To be fair to the good bubba, Roman's segments are usually top notch. It's just when he starts shootin' on the marks online where he gets into cringe territory. Also I know Roman is being a good soldier when he does that, but there's nothing sadder than seeing someone you're sure knows better towing such a demonstrably bullshit company line.
