Three hours is a brutal slog for a weekly TV show no matter who's involved. Smackdown is showing that a show run by the same people can be compelling week to week, but how effective would the Tales of the Tribal Chief be if they had to pad it out to fill an extra hour every week?

NXT was good again this week. Poppy's another one from outside the business that gets it. Her segment with Dexter was great (plus we got a dual Hunter/Regal camera mugging moment which was also great), and having her be the one bringing Io back was done well too.

In those days it was common to use boxing rings for wrestling, so that's probably what's going on here. They also usually sucked to bump on since boxing rings were designed to have less give, which was a lot of the reason older wrestling was slower paced.
