Kenny has to face someone he can beat since he obviously has plans with Impact and AAA (Andrade at TriipleMania).
-
OK, I lol'ed at Nakazawa being Kenny's personal belt carrier.

Breaking news: Britt continues to be awesome.

You can't set up two rings near Arn without him feeling his oats, lol.

Add in the WWE #ForTheBrand stans that will turn on him just for having the gall to work somewhere not WWE, that number will probably be closer to 50% -
Probably because Dave has been pointing out that old farts of the time were down on Harley for being too flippy, especially for a guy his size.

World Class was one of the bigger non WWF syndicated shows. They were aired all over the world and had a habit of getting super popular in far away places. That's also why they were big in Israel in all places.

The moment he was revealed to be in Pinnacle I was like "wtf, why him?" Once they announced Blood and Guts it was like "oh, he's totally going to be the JJ Dillon of this match",

It must be rough for him, he clearly loves wrestling to a degree most can only imagine (see how he broke down after his retirement speech), but obviously he has to put his family needs first. I'm sure deep down he wants to go all over the world and have the best matches possible against the best every country has to offer, but also knowing he has to make the most money he can for his kids (which is normally not something he's concerned about since he famously lives a low cost life) which means staying with WWE and missing out on crossing off his bucket list items. -

If he signs with WWE, there's no way they are going to allow him to wrestle anywhere than promotions they have a stake in. If anything, signing with WWE will burn a lot of the goodwill he has with fans who listened to him talk about having matches elsewhere for years but just ended up blue balling them every time, -
IIRC, Boesch ran shows in Houston but it wasn't a promotion in the sense of having their own titles, he just had exclusivity to promote shows there. Watts would have his guys do those shows and air them in part or in full on Mid South tv. It helped both since his TV would drive interest in Houston shows, and getting on a Houston show helped a feud get "this is a big time match" rub.

I wonder how much of Nattie's rep comes from being a Hart and training in the Dungeon. In WWE canon anyone who's ever been there is automatically an all time great.

So it looks like Bryan's WWE contact expired on Friday and Smackdown was legit his last match with them pending a new deal. Guess now we'll see how much he really wants to do that world tour. -

Keith Lee told a story of being roofied by a woman who's advances he had turned down and woke up naked in a hotel room. He shared it as a way of saying that being assaulted could happen to anyone. He told his story in June, so it shouldn't be hard to do the math to see when he disappeared from WWE TV. -
I think part of it is clearly there was a large audience for JCP/Dusty/WCW things that went away after 2001, and they are trying to win that audience back without just flat out saying is what they are doing (probably also out of legal concerns since WWE owns all those JCP/Dusty/WCW things now).
-
I mean, yeah that's not something you want to be saying but at the same time they're clearly doing a War Games match and don't want to deal with WWE's legal team.

Doing a racism to get views is such a sad yet accurate state of affairs for how the world is nowadays. -
As far as the David Marquez stuff, I know that that the NWA and his Championship Wrestling from Hollywood were sharing talent for those UWN weekly PPVs, and when those shows ended it seems whatever partnership that was there went sour.

To be fair, WWE has become so radicalized that just being a garden variety MAGA idiot doesn't even crack the top ten in the company anymore. She can still fuck off, don't get me wrong, but I can see how her past can be forgotten with all the rampant nuttery being allowed to run wild. -

Kinda digging Randy in this "I don't get this kid, or even like him, but it seems to be working so fuck it" gimmick. -

It's not the worst example of WWESpeak, but insisting on saying "opportunity" instead of "chance" is really starting to grate on my nerves. -

She actually was pretty decent in NXT, but for sure her gimmick was "terrible WWE main roster chick here to take the spot of the NXT women you like". -

She was passable in the Divas era, she was in NXT when all the women there were fucking outstanding and the heat she got was 100% because the NXT crowd was afraid the company was going to put their hand picked Barbie doll on top at a time when there were great women's matches on every Takeover. She was basically female babyface Roman except they leaned in to her being a heel. -
Also "we serve God not man" sounds like Drake is one more FB post away from moving to a heavily armed compound in Montana and getting into a shootout with the ATF.

WWE has a lot more diverse voices than it used to and it seems it's helped overall to keep the crazy to a minimum. You're not going to completely Q pill a locker room that has the New Day, Ali, Bryan, et all. Even guys who are normally pretty Republican like JBL seem to have not got on board the crazy train. It's important for everyone to remember that in both wrestling and IRL, the antivax/Q/super Trumper crowd is actually relatively small but LOUD AF. Their voices tend to drown out every other one because they scream the most.
