Holy shit, Dax just had Tully's spirit invade his body. That was some JCP 1985 threatening Dusty Rhodes promo.

Inner Circle coming out on bikes and pyro probably made Hunter bust a nut.

They are great douchebag heels, even if it's in a "Jack Nicholson plays a good crazy guy because he's crazy" way.

"He's ambitiously stupid" - Why Scott Keith's new book is scary bad
sek69 replied to Bix's topic in Megathread archive
I distinctly remember him throwing in an "ask Ivory" when referencing David McClane not being a good person and thinking it was weird no one else seemed to be corroborating these claims he was talking about as if they were common knowledge. The only negative thing I could see anyone say about him when I looked into it was people suggesting maybe he was too much of a fan to be trying to run a promotion. Looking back, it seems like he was just leaning in to the "he really likes women's wrestling so he must be a weirdo" stereotype and just assuming it was true. -
It was, but they can always do a segment backstage with Kenny and all the belts.
-
Sad thing is that it's been that way for a while if anyone in the media actually gave a shit about wresting other than when there's a drug or CTE related issue. There has to be some intrepid reporter out there looking to make their bones that should be all over this company, but society as a whole seems to have developed a "look at that funny rasslin' company with the wacky owner, aint' they so darn cute!" mindset. Not to mention most media outlets probably won't touch Q related stuff like Drake because they need to keep up their veneer that both sides are equally valid points of view despite the clear amount of damage one side is doing/trying to do.
-
If Kenny doesn't come out draped in all the belts like a gringo Ultimo Dragon, I will be disappointed.
-
Speaking of children, Drake was previously posting videos of his kids repeating Q Anon propaganda, which was both sad and very scary.
-
The fact that he didn't think wearing an NXT shirt while stating masks lead to child sex trafficking could potentially cause problems speaks volumes. Also him doing all this while working for the company that still employs Velveteen Dream is some "the call is coming from inside the house" shit.
-
A couple of referees in NXT are commenting on "a busy day at the office this morning " and basically subtweeting about how embarrassing Drake is getting. Plus Fightful reported Drake was suspended at some point and was banned from the building. Definitely getting the impression people are getting real tired of his bullshit.

In these trying times, it is kind of refreshing that some things are exactly like they have always been. -

I gotta say, finding out that Scott still has a following in 2021 is like finding out there is still a contingent of like....Color Me Badd fans out there or something. -
This almost entirely being because CMLL is pissy that ROH guys are working Rush's show make this all the more hilarious. The Lutteroth family is like the McMahons only with less perversion and more ridiculous grudge holding.

He's always been like that though. I remember him trying to start fights with people back in the day and then acting all innocent when called out on it. -
Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
sek69 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
To be fair, that's still more than AAA itself pays attention to the title. -

Scott rose to prominence because he was one of the first people on the pro wrestling interwebs doing in depth reviews that you didn't need to sub to a newsletter for. The nuts and bolts of his reviews were usually fine enough, but being the 90s there were always opinions/comments added that did not age well or were edgy for the sake of it. I don't think he's necessarily trying to gin up hits as much as he's still stuck in the 90s mindset that made him famous. In a way I can't blame him, but dude has to learn to read the room, -
It seems Dave's biggest fault by far is that his meandering style of talking, while endearing to some, makes it extremely easy for bad faith actors and obsessives to take things out of context and/or cobble a narrative about him. Then that same meandering style makes it sound like he's hemming and hawing when he's trying to debunk what they say about him.

CMLL did a press release saying they were ending their partnership with ROH, which is probably not completely unrelated to the news that Matt Taven is being booked on the show Rush and family are running to kick off their new promotion.

I love how that teaser for Slammiversary showed people who have appeared in TNA/Impact before (see Chelsea Green in her "hot mess" makeup) and it made people think that it means those people might appear on this show too. Not announcing the date past "July 2021" does make it seem like they are doing the math on when non competes end, so I guess there's that.

WWE TV 04/26 - 05/02 Roman Reigns fans are the smartest in the world

Also this whole deal is still kinda stupid but Alexa has been good at the psycho character. -

I saw someone describe Adnan as someone who watched wrestling growing up and is still a fan, but clearly hasn't watched WWE in a long time. He's been treading water since he's a professional broadcaster but Corey and Byron are so obviously holding his hand through this. Like I could believe he could end up good, or at least what WWE considers to be good, but it looks like they threw the guy out there with little to no prep. -

I love that Lashley and MVP's promos are basically "this company's booking is repetitive and stupid", and somehow he's the heel in this. -

Yeah, the concept of "intelligent Boston sports fan" seems to fly in the face of available evidence doesn't it? -

It's science, you can't argue with that.
