Having HBK make the Cruiserweight unification a ladder match without saying a word was a brilliant use of him. You don't have him do a promo and overshadow the guys involved, and everyone knows what it means for him to pull out the ladder.

NXT has done an excellent job putting together a two night show together with matches I genuinely want to see. Two guys who will beat the piss out of each other like Ciampa and WALTER on a show where everyone is going to be amped to go balls out? Yes. Yes I would like that very much.

I think it's because a Rhodes Family Reality Show is something WWE would (and as noted has) done with their talent and AEW fans are by nature going to have a negative kneejerk reaction to anything like that. None of us are the target market since we're already watching AEW, but if this show gains eyeballs (especially ones who wouldn't normally pay attention to wrestling) it would be a success. My only concern is I don't think Cody and Brandi will have the same appeal as say Miz and Maryse do, since I'm not sure Cody would be as up for the wacky hijinks the Miz gets into.

I wonder if the win + her appearance in the brawl later means Tay is the new female Dark Order rep since Anna Jay blew her shoulder out.

I was thinking the same thing, this is very Bruno vs Larry Z but the roles are all wrong. Maybe QT ends up busting a wooden chair over his head.

It just hit me that Shawn Spears is there to be the JJ role when they finally do a War Games match and do the job.

WWE officially announced Khali, I guess the WWE India tweet just got deleted because they jumped the gun. Someone on Twitter asked Dave if the current round of announcement reactions are worked due to the reasons I mentioned, and his reply was probably pretty close to the truth. He mentioned that there's a whole generation of people in the business who's goal was pleasing Vince and getting into the WWE HOF is an indication they did that.

I would assume he might be still under quarantine since Charlotte has covid.

I would assume Kane is probably at least under a Legends deal since he shows up from time to time. The one that got me to question things was Molly, as she has no current ties with the company and even turned down their offer to be a trainer at the PC because she said she isn't at a point in her life where wrestling has that kind of pull for her anymore. She surely would have been asked by the company since unlike Kane there was a chance she could have been not interested in it.

The weird thing about these emotional announcements is that....I'm not saying they aren't real, but we've learned from others that going into the WWE HOF is a process that involves being asked by the company (since people like Honky have turned them down) so it's not like the first they would hear about it is when told on a WWE produced show.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me he's aware of PWO's existence at the very least. Folks who frequented DVDVR in those days had a habit of seeking out any and all wrestling related message boards they could find. I should know, I was one of them lol.

The WWE network was never intended to be a historical reference no matter how much everyone here wanted it to be. There's no chance any non WWE company is going to have tone deaf racial content available in 2021 and risk the negative PR hit.

She still owns like 5% of the company so she technically won, which is the best kind of winning.

I think Jeff Hardy is very talented, but he's too much of a risk for any non WWE company to take at this point since I get the impression their rules are the only reason he's not out there racking up DUIs like Charlotte Flair title wins.

A lot of that list is why some people call AEW "All Friends Wrestling". The EVPs (and Jericho) all got gigs for their pals that you could make a good argument against. When it comes to signing ex WWE people, anyone who doesn't see the difference between "extremely talented folks WWE is wasting" and "old guys taking up space" is being intellectually dishonest. No one wants AEW to be filled with Big Lazy types, but the idea they shouldn't go after someone like Andrade when he becomes available because "he's a WWE cast off" is insane to me.

Funny thing is that it's clear this was the plan the whole time and all the people upset that Miro was being ruined by being paired with Kip are going to go nuts for it.

He's like the inverse of the Rush deal. To get Rush, you need to give his dad a job. AEW wanted Billy as an agent, so they had to give his kids a job.

Laredo Kid is going to be teaming with the Lucha Bros this week on Dynamite, which should be nothing short of awesome.
