  1. Any time someone gets pregnant, the chances it's RIc Flair's are small but never completely zero.
  2. Just what WWE needed, a fake pregnancy angle.
  3. Yeah, they sure don't seem to care after they get hired, that's for sure. Also after tossing the briefcase, Drew might get a tryout from the Tampa Bay Rays to play center field.
  4. WWE doesn't like it when talent they are looking to sign has a problematic social media history, even if they might agree with what's being said. Just like how Jay Briscoe tweeted himself out of a WWE contract years ago.
  5. I never know what to believe with that story to be honest. I always got a sense that people never wanted to confirm those plans to avoid telling a guy who's career was cut short he was about to get the biggest win of his career, but it did seem on TV the program with NIkita wasn't ending any time soon. Then again, if the plan was Flair/Garvin why did that get changed to what ended up happening? It sure looked like Nikita was being put into booking plans they already had set up with Magnum by making that the Starrcade match instead. Especially since he was literally put in the spot Magnum was teaming with Dusty. It seems like it would have been better to do Nikita vs Ivan (or someone Ivan brought in) for betraying the Russians and still do Flair/Garvin. Plus it seems that David Crockett would have knowledge of the plans, right? I know he wasn't directly involved in booking but surely he would know what was being discussed?
  6. Yeah it doesn't make a lot of sense for Taurus, but even less for Sammy. I don't blame him for questioning that.
  7. Can't help but think Pete Dunne's a guy they already missed the boat on. Back when NXT UK kicked off he came off like a star waiting to take off, now he seems like he's just spinning his wheels with no direction.
  8. So there's a trailer going around for Conrad's interview with David Crockett where he confirms the plan for Starrcade 86 was to have Magnum win the title from Flair before the accident changed things.
  9. It seems like it's gone under the radar that WWE is buddying up with a website like Barstool that has a long record of harassing women.
  10. I severely doubt anything's in jeopardy, this is Impact's biggest break since they were on Spike. Don's not going to flush it because Sammy said something didn't work for him (brother).
  11. They did a video to close the Impact special tonight announcing FinJuice are coming to Impact. So I guess Don was able to smooth over all the hurt feelings after all.
  12. He always struck me as a guy who probably was better in the era before footage was available.
  13. It should be noted, and I've seen it mentioned on social media which was a good sign, that while he may have waivered on his feelings towards the McMahons he never changed his story about what happened to him,
  14. Honestly, Piper laughing because he knows exactly what that's a reference to comes off even grosser IMO.
  15. The company was in the financial toilet at that time, so at least there were reasons for cutting his pay.
  16. Roman is the only person in WWE who watches TV like a normal person.
  17. Holy shit, Liv eating the boards looked BRUTAL
  18. Seth as the annoying new dad is perfect for his gimmick.
  19. Watching Smackdown, Paul Heyman s so great in his mob lawyer role.
  20. Kinda......WWE usually takes care of their actual employees and usually only shits on their "independent contractors", so it's a little surprising they are pulling this. Plus, how much more poor mouthing are they going to do when every quarter they boast about how this is a record setting year in terms of profit. This is beyond cartoon levels of greedy behavior.
  21. I think it's not unlike in real sports where the players today are better than the ones of yesteryear (with the Jordan/Gretzky/Aaron types being the anomaly) just due to better training practices and advancements in technology. Sure. some random football player from the 70s might be the GOAT today with access to modern tech, but they didn't have that access so unfortunately for them they aren't. In the same way, it's very possible a wrestler from the 70s could be the next Hogan/Austin type today if they had all the modern advantages, but they didn't. That's not to say current wrestlers will always be better than previous eras, but being in the modern era does have advantages in any field.
  22. One of the things I enjoy most about pro wrestling is the variety of styles available to watch now more than ever. There's bound to be something you like out there if you look for it. If it's sports-entertainment, lucha, strong style, grapplefuckery, cinematic wrestling, comedy, junior heavyweight style, there's tons of options out there if you don't like something. To extend @The Thread Killer's analogy, it's not unlike music in that if you don't like one genre there's tons others out there that might appeal to you more. Maybe "pop wrestling" isn't your jam, but there's bound to be something out there that is more in tune to your tastes, and it's easier now than ever to find it.
  23. I believe it was Bix who found an episode of Prime Time Wrestling on the network where Gorilla makes a Mel Phillips foot fetish joke.
  24. It will never not boggle my mind that Jerry liking young girls was a frequent punchline on WWF/E TV.
  25. I think the big difference is that outside of WWE, there's a lot less pieces of shit running wrestling companies. It's refreshing to see a lot of the more well known indy fed promoters taking a stand against working with known garbage humans.
