Also I don't think there's ever been a wrestler with a greater motivated/unmotivated ceiling than Orton. He can literally go from a completely bland, interchangeable part to GOAT entirely based on how much of a shit he feels like giving at the time.

Matt was able to reinvent an entire universe of characters in Impact when they couldn't find their ass with both hands as a promotion, he'll be fine in a place like AEW.

His deal is still running out March 2, and hasn't resigned yet.

This looks like it could be a really solid show even if a match or two doesn't click as expected.

See, Jim does have a valid point in the middle of all that nonsense that there are people in the the wrestling sphere who pretend to be journalists but just make shit up and/or make enough vague scoop hints that one of them is bound to come true. But Bix isn't one of those people. I may disagree with his takeaways on some topics but at least I get where he's coming from when he says them and isn't just pulling it out of his ass. You have people like Brad Shepard blatantly making shit up and Ryan Satin pretending he's tracking down hot SCOOPZ while not-really-but-kinda-really working for WWE.

Considering the drop off in the NFL from the top level QBs to everyone else is probably bigger than it's been in a while, it's really noticeable that the QBs in the XFL so far have been extremely Not Good. It's not like they can do anything about it, they get who they can get, but it's something I've noticed so far.

Considering their champion is part of the Anoai family and their tag champs are part of the family Vince always wanted to poach in the national expansion but never could, it wouldn't shock me.

Any time anyone on twitter mentions Cornette or even slightly alludes to him, hordes of his fans snitch tag him to see the reaction it gets. It's really the worst thing that's been introduced to Wrestling Twitter and that says a lot. All the obvious problematic stuff aside for a moment, it is kind of said that a lot of his audience just seems to get off on watching the old wrestling man have a hissyfit more than anything else. Like it could be anyone in that position but it just happens to be Cornette because he's Extremely Online now.

Been getting back into MLW the last few weeks, and I gotta tell you as a certified Old Man Fan it gave me chills to see the Von Erichs entering to Stranglehold in Dallas. It's striking to see Marshall out there looking like someone dropped his dad from 1985-ish right into 2020. It's funny to see the perils of taping in advance, with all the Killer Kross hype videos when he's already signed and about to debut in NXT. Gave me "WCW tapes way too far in advance in the early 90s so hilarity ensues" vibes. Also Mance Warner looks (and sounds) like Steve Austin and Mark Briscoe got genetically spliced together.

Bix was pointing out that Jim constantly saying Meltzer "sucks Kenny's dick" could be considered homophobic, which seems to have sent him into a tizzy. It's what I was referring to earlier about Jim sending his followers to attack Bix's appearance.
