I popped for Kingston's "don't steal my heat, Jim" when Cornette tried to speak during his promo. Also Kamille rules as the world's hottest Mike Enos.

Silver King's death seems to have been the moment that finally clued in Lucha promotions to the fact they shouldn't fuck around with having medical personnel on shows.

WWE TV 10/14 - 10/20 Randy Orton is the Tom Brady of WWE

It's a tough spot isn't it? Sign anyone who's been on TV elsewhere in the last 20 years and they're a WWE cast off. Sign someone who's never been on TV and they get disregarded as an indy nobody. Not just for AEW, but anyone who's not WWE since 2001, it's hard to get anyone who doesn't have some level of WWE stink on them. -
So he had surgery on his 4th cervical vertebra so it looks like at best his wrestling career is over, hopeful he's able to have a normal life otherwise.

Seven months of Mid South from 1985 dropped the other day, Rock n Rolls vs Hector and Chavo Guerrero was better than anything any company will put out this week.

For all the crap Dave gets both justified or otherwise, he really does know the business side of wrestling better than all but a handful of people.

Kind of a minor quibble, but since WWE made a trend of false advertising last week, the main event was *supposed* to be a six man. Instead we got AJ in the corner and the mystery partner ending up doing a run in after AJ was already ejected. "They didn't want to take the focus off the Street Profits" I can here people saying, but they didn't have to book it as a six man in the first place if it's not what they wanted to do.

Street Profits have so much charisma, once again WWE has potential stars served up on a silver platter.

Props to Seth for making the kid look good.

Trying to make Humberto right out of the gate is a surprising but welcome move.

Not gonna lie, I'd be down for a reunion of the Minnesota Stretching Crew.

LOL @ Lashley wearing tennis shoes to what is supposed to be a fancy restaurant.

Humberto out here looking like the Black Ranger

That white t shirt really makes Rusev look like jacked Freddie Mercury.

It was, but the post match beatdown was yet again another "babyfaces have no friends" moment that makes all the good guys in WWE look like geeks.

Moose legit saved Ken Shamrock's life, he was about to land head first on the floor but Moose was able to catch and rotate him so it was more of a back bump. I appreciate the effort but old dudes shouldn't be doing dives, the risk/reward is just not worth it. It's not Rush's fault but it's the first time he's worked with AAA La Parka and probably didn't know he has a rep for coming up short on dives. You can see it seems to register about a second too late that he's not going to make it and he has a "oh shit" reaction. Cubsfan mentioned on Twitter that Parka had surgery for what was described as a neck/cervical fracture. Hopefully it's not something that will keep him from having a normal day-to-day life. What really sucks is that he was winding down due to accumulated injury and was only sticking around because his son is about to debut with his old Karis La Momia gimmick. That's why his only involvement on the AAA show Saturday was a promo and a beatdown.

Well Matt Taven chose them just recently. I agree he's not a draw but WWE and ROH apparently both made offers and he chose ROH.

ROH will continue to shuffle on as long as Sinclair wants it to, same thing with Impact and Anthem. Groups that don't have ties to big money like MLW would be the most at risk to get swallowed up by something like this. The only issue with NJPW America's plan here is that success in the US hinges on TV, and their TV partner here is AXS which just got bought by Anthem and gutted their staff. Maybe it will turn out to be easier for wrestling to get on TV now that AEW gets a million viewers a week on TNT, but it's probably still going to be an uphill climb for a Japanese owned company to get anywhere on US TV.

When talking about guys in WWE who would potentially jump to AEW, Dave would occasionally say it was all the guys you'd think would want to jump but there was one name you'd never think of. I always thought he was talking about Orton when he'd say that. This very well could be him just playing both sides to get a better deal, but I wonder how much of his famous lack of interest in most of his work these days stems from him just being bored of WWE. He's done all he can do in the company in both kayfabe and IRL, he's never worked anywhere outside WWE, and I could see jumping to a viable competitor being something that would interest him.

FWIW, they decided to no longer use copyrighted music for themes and everyone got new in-house produced ones. Except Wagner, because he's Dr. Wagner.

WWE TV 10/14 - 10/20 Randy Orton is the Tom Brady of WWE

He is part of one of the most over acts in the company and the build up to his win was one of the hottest parts of Wrestlemania. It's not like they put the belt on Bo Dallas or some shit like that. He wasn't out of place as champ, it just didn't have any long term legs. Of course there's the WWE problem of wanting to book babyfaces in general as goofs and it just wasn't going to work. -

Ambrose wasn't the champ. That's on Vince. If he can't get Brock to play ball and have a competitive match with the goddamned WWE champion, then that's a failure he has to own. -

It was time for Kofi to lose, no one really argues that. Having it be a 5 second squash was lazy bullshit that looks bad in context of the build to him winning based partially on "people like Kofi" not getting title shots. Having him lose to the big jacked-up white guy who's barely around makes it seem like the end of the story was "yup, people like Kofi don't deserve to be champ after all". He should have gone out on his shield after a 10-15 minute sprint where he gave Brock all he could handle before being overwhelmed. Instead he got the total jobber treatment that made him look like a geek that never should have been champ. -
The show will end up on AAA's Youtube channel eventually as well.

Daga wins the LA title, perhaps this means Tessa will be around more often?
