TNA getting Okada to forgive them for having him do a Kato gimmick back in the day might be their biggest win ever. That's their equivalent of WWE getting Punk to return (without the whole nearly killing him with zpacks part).

I'm guessing Mercedes is showing up since word just came our there's no more plans to bring her in AEW. Teaming back up with Trinity seems like it could be fun, and TNA has women's tag titles. Plus it feels like if TNA is truly back you have to announce a big former WWE name is coming in! (I kid...I kid)

They kind of painted themselves in a corner with Drew. It seems like the plan is to do Seth vs Punk for the belt but Drew losing would make him a giant geek at this point.

Seth is such the perfect WWE-brained foil for Punk. I still can't see him being able to do the level of promo he did on Matt Riddle without Punk getting butthurt over it.

Also Charlotte managing to put on the figure eight with with a knee that had no working tendons is right up there with Hunter finishing a match with a torn quad in terms of being "holy fucking shit" on the pain tolerance scale.

In other news, Charlotte's knee basically exploded and she'll be out at least nine months. You hate to see anyone get hurt, but on the bright side the women on Raw don't have to worry about getting steamrolled for a while.

Bruno was probably the last of the old timey strongmen, considering he only slightly toned down his workout routine post-retirement and looked like he could still whoop your ass well into his 70s.

IIRC there was a movement in WWE (or maybe it was just for NXT) for the women to start wearing skimpier outfits. I would imagine Mandy had no problem with that (which is fine), but I wouldn't expect everyone to feel the same way.

TBF I would assume there's a difference between choosing to wear something like that and having your boss have you wear it for skeevy reasons.

Also look at the Kabuki Warriors out there doing smooth as fuck tag team maneuvers after not having teamed up in forever. Didn't miss a beat. Anyone else find it alarming how tiny Zelina looks even next to the waif-like Kairi? It's like shes nearly a legit lucha mini. Hopefully WWE doesn't decide to run with it and make her their Kemonito.

Fight Forever has been getting some nice DLC updates. First was Hook/Danhausen, then the Acclaimed + the resigned Dynamite stage, and they added a Beat the Elite mode where you face off against 9 random opponents and the 10th is a member of the Elite. There's one more listed as part of the Season 2 pack called "The STORM is coming" so I would assume that means the game is about to get timeless.

Funny thing is that I actually started watching that a few weeks ago. When I was a kid, the syndicated TV schedule meant starting at 11pm I could watch World Class, NWA Pro, then GLOW to cap off the night. Now on Saturdays I watch Collision, Rampage, and WOW to get some of that nostalgia back. I will say one thing, there's still the unmistakable David McLane gimmicks, the actual wrestling part is actually taken way more seriously this time around. Yes the tone of the show is still silly, but compared to the old GLOW this might as well be 1989 NWA by comparison. To tie it all together, they brought in AJ Lee a little bit ago to help book the shows IIRC so that's probably a big part of how that happened.

As much as I like Billie Starkz, I don't know what they expected when her big push is on the AEW NXT show that like 3 people watch. Surely TK and Jericho can't both be so deep in the bubble they thought that would get any kind of reaction.

So Vikingo and Black Taurus for the AAA title was added to Final Battle, while Andrade is about to make a mini-excursion to CMLL. Didn't think I'd ever see any of that happening.

The matches so far have all been good at least. Andrade and Brody having a GUNTA level chop battle was good shit

Yeah IIRC Santino was still doing the Russian shooter gimmick at the time, which actually was a point in his favor why he wouldn't sell being afraid of the Boogeyman.
