  1. Vince was great, the only issue I have with him is he needs to be paired with someone as he will go quiet for long periods of time. A lot of the time the person he's paired with is awful though. What cracks me up is in these days TV built to the houseshows, and so far WWWF TV was far more exciting than any of the MSG shows that have appeared so far.
  2. Well that's shitty then. Besides, that Bravo guy was saying in an interview that the orders he saw lined up for when Roman got popped for Wellness anyway, so WWE already would have punished him for that and removing him from WM would be unlikely.
  3. I'm not really rooting for either side here but it seems like a lot of people wanting to prove they were smarter than everyone else along with associates of drug dealers not being the most reputable folks. Seems like a clear Team No One on this.
  4. The guy released a statement saying he is aware Luther and Roman Reigns are two different people, so were we all worked or is it just the Bixes of wrestling twitter jumping all over this to prove they were right all along?
  5. There apparently was an actual WWWF US title belt, but I don't ever recall watching a match where anyone wore it.
  6. I gotta say, that article really hit home for me. My dad wasn't a world famous wrestler, but he had 4 kids with his first wife before marrying my mom so I know what it's like to have brothers you don't really have anything in common with and a dad who doesn't really get your interests but tries his best to figure it out.
  7. I increasingly think they should do something like that around a big UK show. They could probably charge a million bucks for the tickets and the UK fans would gobble that up. Bulldogs (or at least DBS), Johnny Saint, Lord Alfred Hayes, Regal, (I was going to say Haystacks Calhoun but he's already in). Maybe Big Daddy? Finlay? Does Haystacks Calhoun have some UK ties I'm not aware of or were you thinking of Giant Haystacks/Loch Ness?
  8. All the charties are getting $10k or something, and the winner gets the big purse. It's kind of carny as fuck to have the winner be the in house charity, but it's probably the best case scenario anyone could expect involving WWE.
  9. That, and he felt they didn't train him properly for the main roster because all they had him do was squash matches as Leviathan. When he had to do more evenly booked matches he really didn't have any idea what to do at first.

Well WWE put it up on their site so no spoilers, he's in the North American title ladder match along with EC3

  12. Since they said the streak was on the line, Miz/Asuka have to win. Also I think their charity was Connor's Cure which everyone said was a ringer from the start.
  13. Wow, that's like the reverse Mandela Effect or something, I have zero recollection of that ever happening.
  14. This is an amazing story about Cody escaping the shadow of his dad by embracing it, and really makes it seem like All In is Cody's Starrcade in terms of trying to create something of his own.
  15. Wrestling lost so much when Vince decided managers were too southern. Theres really nothing today like Captain Lou, and there is nothing incentivizing anyone to try to be since it would limit your career options.
  16. He was set up to be an all time great babyface in AAA after all the racial crap happend in WWE, but AAA and Alberto are the two most combustible things in wrestling so of course putting the two together blew up in everyone's faces. Which is why them bringing him back for Triplemania again this year is pretty much a LOLTNA level event waiting to happen.
  17. Yeah the day Big Show decides it's a career he goes in the next year for sure.
  18. I was wondering, since so many buildings from that era are long dead and gone, and not only is the Hamburg Field House still standing it still hosts wrestling on a regular basis.
  19. I love how the 1975 show looks like the hard cam is either on a tripod with one short leg or slowly sliding off whatever it was set on. Agreed how surprising the shows have been, I was honestly expecting one borefest after another with the only appeal being historical, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how entertaining they've been. Superstar doing Hogan promos with Vince playing Mean Gene will never not be entertaining.
  20. Batista will probably go in, he's friends with HHH and his beef was with OVW who they don't work with anymore. I could see pretty much everyone you listed being locks except for You Know Who and guys who don't give a shit like Bundy, Lesnar and, Honky Tonk Man (who's mentioned several times he doesn't care about it).
  21. Pretty sure Bundy turned them down at some point. Also who could be mad at Hillbilly Jim in the HOF? He's the most WWF person who ever WWF'ed.
  22. Championship Wrestling was the A show, All Star was the B show.
  23. I feel like people are being obtuse at this point if it's not clear that Roman is clearly not the beloved top babyface the company so badly wants him to be. Yes he is very good in the ring now, yes his promos are good if he isn't being given "sufferin' succotash" level cringe material to say, but he is the square peg being jammed in the round hole despite there being a guy (BRAUN) who caught fire and wouldn't be rejected in the same position.
  24. I'm all for anything that gets us more "Don't Go Messin' With a Country Boy".
  25. It'll be some winky-winky reference that only the people who know about this will pick up on (because that's who it's meant to upset, the internet fans they want to boo Brock and cheer Roman at WM).
