He also more than once implied Kenny is a pedo due to his involvement with women's wrestling in Japan. Plus it's one thing for something to not be one's cup of tea, but his irrational hate boner towards all things AEW make me wonder if he tried hitting up TK for a job at one point and was shot down.

So Lash and Nia had a pretty entertaining big meaty women slapping meat match on NXT.
-
What's really funny is depending on what's up with Naomi, Stephanie might not even have a match on the show.
-
Well technically *pushes up glasses* Van Gogh painted that based on the view from the window of the asylum he was at in France, so there is somewhat of a connection.

I would expect Kross to show up in GCW since he's already done Bloodsport and appearing in TNA would be too much of a dead giveaway that its all storyline.

So the Karrion Kross stuff is weird. Apparently his (and Scarlett's) contract expired today and WWE moved them to the Alumni section of the website. Kross went on to post part two of his story on Youtube where he stated someone in WWE was telling him to ignore the crowd support he was getting, and whoever was discussing a new contract with him wasn't on the same page as him in terms of what the expectations are. Now WWE is in a "everything is a work except when it isn't a work, and even then it's still a work" phase after the R Truth and Rollins stuff, but what's odd to me is he's always been a Hunter Guy. When he was in the last round of cuts Vince was around for, Hunter made sure to bring him back despite there really being no demand for it, and continually featuring him to little to no reactions. Now suddenly he's got this online buzz and Hunter just lets his contract lapse? So either its a work and WWE is trying to gaslight everyone into thinking there's some great online groundswell for him, or its a shoot and Hunter suddenly lost faith in someone he went out of his way to go to bat for not that long ago.

Ishii is such a great choice for Kyle's first title defense. A banger of an opener for Collision. I'm shocked TK has resisted having Ultimo Dragon make a cameo when Mercedes is going around with all those belts.

They feel they should push him somewhat since he got some buzz online when he made some folks think he was going into business for himself during interviews on Mania weekend.
-
He used to be over 500 pounds, and he said his current weight of 299 is the lightest he's been since middle school. Also your first impression wasn't that far off, he was involved with drugs and did prison time when he was younger, something that the heels brought up in the buildup.

All things considered that was a great performance by Jelly Roll. Dude gets it.

Both these ended up being accurate, still surprised Charlotte managed to win over the fans.
-
Holy shit Roman nearly overshot everyone on that dive.
-
Looking forward to the Slamming of the Summer. Apparently Gunther has some kind of issue with his news, I wonder if that means we're getting at least a brief title run for Punk. Roman/Jey vs the Brons also should be excellent, as should the women's tag title match since the Charlotte/Alexa pairing seems to have unexpectedly struck gold. Feel bad that Tiffy Time probably is going to get ended, but I suppose WWE is in full sunk cost fallacy mode with Jade at this point.

Also having an AAA tag team title match on WWE TV is wild and not something I ever expected to see.

Guilia should be thankful Zelina is a tiny, tiny person because she hit Guilia right in the face with her knees on that moonsault.

Holy hell, Dustin went above and beyond what I was expecting him to do putting over Kyle.
-
Another good Dynamite. I like the story of MJF thinking he can fuck with Hangman but he's proving he isn't the Anxious Millennial Cowboy anymore but the bad ass champion.
-
I lol'd at the Bucks getting the "local competitor" jobber entrance on Dynamite
-
Also glad Juice seems to have realized shaving was a mistake.
-
Dustin vs Fletcher is gonna bang, you just know he's going to bust his ass to put Kyle over.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone who is not a fan of Hogan, but to try to dismiss his role in the history of pro wrestling is just insane to me. Yes, Bruno sold out the Garden every month for like 15 years, but Hogan took it nationwide, worldwide even. The national expansion of the WWF doesn't get to the heights it did with anyone else at the helm, he was the absolute perfect guy to embody Vince's vision. I get it if you weren't a fan of that vision, but it absolutely changed the game. Wrestling went from a territorial business to a national one worth millions.

Kneepads over jeans is proper hardcore battle attire for any 80s wrestler.
-
It would be dishonest to leave out the good or the bad entirely, it wouldn't be a complete telling of his story. He was an industry changing icon who made a lot of money for a lot of people and brought millions of fans to pro wrestling, and inspired a ton of folks to get into the business. He was also a piece of shit who cheated on his wife, tanked the case the US government had against Vince in the steroid trial, and was caught on tape saying some of the vilest shit possible.....and that was all before hitching his wagon to the most destructive president in US history. All that is part of the story of Hulk Hogan, and omitting any of it would be doing a disservice.

TTK pretty much said it all. The start of my wrestling fandom was the build to WM 2 with Hulk vs King Kong Bundy on SNME. I was never a Hulkamaniac but he was a central part of how it all began for me. He was responsible for two of the biggest booms in the history of wrestling, Hulkamaina and the nWo. Very few people can lay claim to being the biggest attraction in their industry, and he managed to do it twice. He was a cultural icon in the 80s like Santo in lucha or Rikidozan in Japan. All of that made the final act of his life all the more sadder. The guy famous for the "work yourself into a shoot" line became an embarrassing parody of himself who seemed at times like he actually believed some of the hilariously obvious lies he would tell. It's actually sad that his legacy will largely be the racist old buffoon who often seemed out of touch with reality, but like TTK said you reap what you sow.

The set up was Taker's LFG guys were backstage in NXT and Trick started talking shit to them. Ironically in the context of the overall show it seems like the goal is to establish LFG since Ricky Saints also put over the winner (and fellow Team Taker guy) Jasper Troy. It's really odd since you would expect they would put the LFG people on Evolve first since they went through the effort of setting up a whole farm system.
