Say what you will about the guy, but I would love to just nerd out about wrestling with TK. You know he has opinions on everything. Also watching Wrestledream after work and so far another fun ass show. Love seeing Charlie Thesz (another person I interacted with back on AOL) having the time of her life.
-
Hearing TK talk about chatting with Lou Thesz back in the AOL days reminded me that I also was part of that community which means between that and DVDVR there's a fairly decent chance we interacted at one point which is just wild to me.

What's worse is with normal non competes the person gets paid, but not with these. So they want to be able to fire you, not pay you, yet keep you from earning money elsewhere in the US. That's not going to fly in court, no matter how many White House photo ops the Huntster gets to have.
-
So Andrade disappeared after making his AEW (re)debut since TKO put language into WWE deals tying them up in super long non competes if they get fired for cause. They already got legally slapped when they tried to do that to Brock back when he wanted to try out for the NFL, it's silly for them to try again now.

I thought Cena/Styles was great Pro Wrestling Bullshit. It was two old bulls charging at each other one last time Paying tribute to some of their favorite guys to do battle with, ending up a love letter to both WWE and TNA legends in the same match. I loved Cole's line of "the greatest of all time and one of the all time greats" putting over both guys, and how even in defeat Styles had a look on his face of "you win, but god damn that was great". Hell the best part of the whole thing might have been how the ring introduction was apparently a shoot that Cena wrote that Styles intro and AJ didn't know it was coming which was awesome.

Call me crazy, but I kind of feel like the person who inducts Cena into the HOF should be Cameraman Stu?

Watching Crown Jewel now, and it's not a bad show....it's actually pretty good.....but the whole "Crown Jewel" concept just seems out of place not in Saudi. I mean I guess technically Australia is under Charles, but that's not the crown I think of with these shows. yanno.

So apparently AAA is running a TV taping in Tijuana the same day as Survivor Series in San Diego.. which is like 20 or so miles away.
-
I guess that makes Lance Anoa'i the WCW Lanny Poffo of WWE, got hired for a year probably due to family connections and proceeded to do fuck all while getting paid. Which good for him, but business wise it made no sense.

So it seems its the season for unfortunate leg injuries, first Ibushi broke his leg on the Collision taping and now reports are out that Jacy Jayne suffered what looked like a quad injury at the NXT house show that took place Thursday night.
-
Yeah I have to wonder what even the point was. Other than the Evolve stuff it didn't seem like there was any benefit to the folks signing up for it. It didn't seem like they were getting any additional indy bookings (and why would they, since if they gave anyone a push they'd just get rug pulled) and it seems apparent that the money wasn't even that great.
-
Kota Ibushi apparently sustained a serious injury at the Collision tapings that required being taken out on a stretcher.

Honestly PAC didn't seem to be that much bigger, he's always been a jacked up little dude.

Alica Atout fighting for her life to not break while Mark Briscoe is going full Mark Briscoe was hilarious. Also holy shit Mox vs Ishii

I get the impression that Andrade's look is by his own choice since he's ping ponged between WWE and AEW a couple times now and it hasn't changed one bit. Also I liked having Mercedes putting over the tag titles since she's obviously well known as someone who feels very strongly about that kind of thing. I do wonder what the teams will end up being. Off the top of my head i can think of: TayJay Julia Hart/Skye Blue Megan Bayne/Penelope Ford Toni/Mina maybe? Mercedes and whoever she picks Taya/Deonna (they're ȧ thing in ROH) Shida posted she is returning to the US and Saree is doing a tour over here as well, I would imagine they'll be involved somehow.

Sami's been wearing Palestinian flag colors for a while, and I was kind of shocked no one said anything or that WWE didn't make him stop. Plus I'm kinda surprised WWE cared at all considering their BFFs the Saudi royals.
-
Confusion about Andrade aside, that was a fun show.
-
Yeah that was surprising to me since allegedly Andrade wasn't exactly endearing himself to folks behind the scenes.
-
Not to mention there's zero chance WWE would ever allow blading in a women's match when they barely allow it with the men. Funny thing is a lot of the time with Nia it almost seems like she doesn't realize her own strength and ends up hurting the much tinier women on the roster by not realizing how far they'll go when she tosses them around. Clearly that's not the case with someone like Jade.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
sek69 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
So TNA just announced they are doing an investigation on Masha Slamovich. She used to be in a relationship with former MLW wrestler Akira and one of his friends posted ȧ dropbox link on Twitter full of screenshots of Masha and Akira texting each other and most of them involve her being verbally and emotionally abusive toward him, and even a few pics of what appears to be signs of physical abuse on him by her. I've been going over them and she comes of at best as someone very jealous and angry, especially an exchange where she basically goes into a rage over him getting a Ribera jacket when he did a tour of Japan. Saying shit like "you don't deserve it, I do" and her not even wanting him to wear it around her. -
So is Bayley doing a Three Faces of Foley gimmick and just going to cycle between Hugger Bayley, Ding Dong Hello Bayley, and Role Model Bayley?
-
Sting mentioned he wanted to be a part of it since Eddie was the first one to see something in him more than just a gimmick tag team guy. I'd wager that was probably a big part of him doing all the stuff with Darby on his last run as a way of paying it forward. Also it's being heavily rumored the Big Announcement on Dynamite is going to be women's tag titles finally debuting. Tony had the belts made a while ago and injuries kept derailing whatever plans he had for them.
-
I thought it was cute the way Taker did it, and she clearly was not expecting it (at least not in this manner), but when he hopped the rail to sit next to her part of me was expecting him to drop a "where to, Stephanie?" just for old times sake.
-
One thing he wasn't doing while he was away was leg day. His upper body is so huge it made his legs look practically Nash-esque.

Death Riders vs Darby/Bryan/??? in the next Anarchy in the Arena perhaps?
