  1. Chelsea's tweets are more like a wink wink in character thing than anything else, it's mostly her being herself but in a way that nods to her character. Meanwhile we also have Becky Lynch copying Trump's style of unhinged tweeting both online and on TV for heel heat, which has always been surprising and amusing to me considering who she works for.
  2. To be fair, she did the Cactus Jack deal because she got booked in a hardcore match. The joke was someone who normally does a Karen gimmick going full Cactus.

Willow getting hurt sucks, it's like being a top woman in AEW is cursed at this point.

I'm a mark for a superheavyweight that can move, so I like this Mason Rook guy.
  5. At least pro wrestling is honest about what it is lol
  6. AMC+ is doing a deal where you can get a year for $29.99 in case anyone has morbid curiosity about TNA (like me lol)

Mark Briscoe might be my favorite person in wrestling right now, him just walking into the Conglomeration's promo and just unleashing some crazy Mark Briscoe shit while everyone fights for their lives not to corpse got a pop from me.
  8. That was the terms they released him on while awaiting sentence, he's going to jail for sure now the only question is for how long.
  9. Cuatero got sentenced to 12 years and 8 months for attempted femicide. With credit for time he already has served in jail he still has 10 years left. Good riddance, and I hope Stephanie Vaquer has an excellent steak dinner with the finest wine tonight.

I love when AEW has shows in different venues like this, Darby and PAC throwing each other in sand traps gave me fun memories of WCW Spring Break shows.

A yearly showcase of NXT talent is a pretty cool idea, not sure if doing the first one in a rebuilding year is ideal or not.

All the lucha sickos just shouted at their TVs at the claim of this being the first 2 night Triplemania.

Love seeing Danhousen being able to show he can work in the ring here.

They got a mini from AAA to be a Mini-hausen, that's actually pretty brilliant.

Bron vs Seth didn't really do it for me, but Trick and Sami unsurprisingly had a fun match.
  16. I don't know how Mexican copyright law works (it certainly seems less...enforced from what I've seen), but perhaps them now making money off their Youtube shows is why they are doing the dubbing now.
  17. Watching Mistico in New Japan and hearing them overdub it there made me wonder if TK can't just slide them a check to cover the rights even if just for a short period.
  18. So many what ifs surround Ted Turner's wrestling impact. What if he goes with Mid South instead of JCP for the Saturday night show? Bill Watts was in his prime as a booker but would the exposure from TBS offset the economic downturn that hit in his home market? Does JCP become another territory that gets quickly eaten up by the WWF expansion, never more than a footnote in history?
  19. I have been off and on, and it's still kind of jarring to see AAA shows with coherent booking that actually leads to a payoff eventually.
  20. if there's any justice his funeral should start at 6:05 pm after an episode of Andy Griffith.
  21. Ted gave Mid Atlantic and JCP national TV in a era where that wasn't even a thing yet. He was ride-or-die for pro wrestling and used it as one of the pillars to build his empire and cable TV as we knew it. Yes, he wasn't the booker but he was the guy who kept the suits and the bean counters at bay when everyone wanted him to drop it. I have no doubt the story Sting told on the open to Dynamite was 100% true that he told the boys to keep doing what they do because he had deep pockets. A million books and YouTube videos about the Death of WCW and they all seem to miss that the real dagger to its heart was Ted getting maneuvered out of the corporate office at Time Warner. If you're going to rank the most important people in US pro wrestling for the last 50 years there's no doubt it's Vince #1 and Ted #2.

Vic asking Booker if he ever got a match moved mid show, and I'm over here like "he worked in WCW, so probably"

He's actually pretty good in the ring when not saddled with HOT bullshit.
  24. Man, seeing them all in the ring together really drives it home how the Kaiser-Bate-Dunne trio has about a million times more charisma doing the Americano gimmick.
  25. Gedo has even lost Meltzer, who was previously his number one fan, after booking Tsuji to drop both his titles in about a month's time. His argument was basically "Maybe Tsuji isn't the guy but ffs you need to make *someone* a Japanese star" made me think he's another secret PWO reader.
