  1. The only flaw I see in that logic is that would imply Vince showing restraint, which there's zero precedent for.
  2. If nothing else, they made a star out of Brody King in that match. Dude was an unstoppable beast.
  3. (tbf I think the only creative Vince is involved in is with Brock, since Brock is a Vince guy)
  4. Vince is backstage tonight.
  5. One major plus for this show, is TK seems to have finally learned not to overstuff every PPV show with a dozen plus matches. Yeah, the main was going an hour and that was probably part of it, but only having one match on the pre show was a breath of fresh air.
  6. I am, where do I fall on that statement?
  7. This is my takeaway as well. Setting aside running the risk of picking the wrong person, doing anything physical with someone not clued in beforehand just isn't cool. You can do the whole "heel tears up a fan's sign" bit all day, but when you start throwing drinks at unsuspecting people that crosses a line.
  8. Kind of, she was just sort of the avatar to represent "Bayley is for the children". Either way the Sasha deal was unplanned, so even if Izzy was part of the story she wasn't clued in to that happening.
  9. Honestly I think it was planned all along. FTR needed time away to heal up nagging injuries, and for some reason people on the internet took their friendship with Punk to mean they are somehow on the outs with AEW. Clearly the stuff with the AEW twitter not acknowledging them in their post congratulating the WON Award winners was a work, and people once again bought it hook, line and sinker. What I find funny is when it happened, Dave said something along the lines of if FTR didn't show up to be part of the tag team battle royale deal then there "might be another story". Having Orange and Danhausen win the thing was a big red "clearly something is planned here because there's no way this team should be in a tag title match" flag, and part of me wonders if TK was working Dave in all this to a degree.
  10. If I had to hazard a guess, it seems like they are trying to do like the 80s where you rarely saw the world champ wrestle on TV so when you did it was a special occasion. Of course back then the champ worked 300 days a year on houseshows and AEW doesn't do any (yet). I distinctly remember as a kid seeing Ric Flair team up with Tully and Arn against 3 jobbers on Saturday Night and thinking "wow, the champ in wrestling on TV".
  11. https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/liv-morgan-meets-crying-fan-from-wwe-smackdown Liv is good people.
  12. Kross is the one major miss of the Hunter Era so far, imo. Dude doesn't even have the aura he had in NXT, he went from looking like a badass to looking like a guy who's going to roofie your drink.
  13. Funny thing is that it's not like drug use would have been a disqualifying factor in 1997 WCW unless it got to Scott Hall levels of bad.
  14. I noticed that too when I go to AEW shows, and I think it's largely due to the fact that when you go to a WWE show they make it clear they are only catering to the TV audience and don't give a fuck about the live crowd.
  15. based on the taping results, it seems like Eddie is going to have a big role in ROH.
  16. Endeavor said in their latest conference call the other day they weren't interested in buying WWE, and it's been stated NBC Universal isn't either. At this point, the Saudis are the only ones who who seem to have shown any interest, and that might increase now that LIV Golf couldn't even get a decent TV rating on the CW network.
  17. Melo vs Tyler Bate delivering a banger to no one's surprise
  18. Of course Gallus would hang out at a bar called Big Daddy's
  19. All three Steiner boys together like nature intended
  20. I mean they did when he was Super Cena and beating everyone. It was when he went PWG mode where fans started being more on his side. It also helped that he was no longer being booked as the unbeatable superman anymore. Now of course he's at "legend who only makes occasional appearances" status which means he'll probably never get turned on since he won't be around long enough for fans to tire of him.
  21. I just think over time WWE crowds will tire of Cody's Cody-ness like AEW fans eventually did. Once the "win it for Dad" story is over and he starts doing the 80s patriotism type stuff again the honeymoon will probably be ending.
  22. Boogz with short hair looks like a juiced up Rick Rude.
  23. Not to mention having him as the hype man in LA is the best possible use of him too.
  24. Didn't she work there prior to WWE?
  25. Feels-manufactured Cody and Lovable Puppy Sami are quite the contrast.
