I would dip in and out of the live feed or have it on in the background a lot more if it didn't skip on me so much

Phil Austin replied to Loss's topic in August 1991
This was marvellous. Just two of the best putting on a real great precursor to the Sting/Vader matches of the 1990s. Wonderful- 21 replies

I get the feeling Vince would have loved to do a flag burning segment here but decided that was just too far (and illegal)

[1990-12-29-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Arn Anderson vs Tom Zenk
Phil Austin replied to Loss's topic in December 1990
Not really off topic but they mention they would announce the TBS match of the year. Anyone know what it ended up being? They made me curious. I hope it was Sid v Nightstalker! -
The Nakano v Inoue match follows that tag match on the disc. Tag match doesn't go too long so no need to skip it

[1990-11-24-NWA-Pro] Arn Anderson vs Terry Taylor
Phil Austin replied to Loss's topic in November 1990
Schiavone calls the referee "Mike Patrick". Is that an error, or was there a WCW referee with that name? -

What's the deal with the announcer switching between Japanese and English at random points?

[1990-06-13-NWA-Clash of the Champions IX] Arn Anderson vs Paul Orndorff
Phil Austin replied to Loss's topic in June 1990
This is a great example of big picture booking. You initially think "man, they are beating the Horsemen", but then you realise it all helps add to the idea that Flair could lose to JYD. (an unlikely event) -

Pringle's line about their being another Von Erich son who s going to be buried six feet under made me very uncomfortable- 10 replies

Cannot escape the fact that there is a huge female nipple on the screen the entire time! Some of these ICW segments are ECW level politically incorrect!

[1995-10-16-WWF-Raw] Shawn Michaels and Dean Douglas
Phil Austin replied to Loss's topic in October 1995
If I'm not mistaken, the 'jobber' here is none other than ECW's Johnny Swinger! -
Remember ignoring an advert for Sasuke and the Michinoku crew appearing in the UK as I figured it wouldn't happen (it was before big name imports regularly appeared in the UK and a time when 'tribute' acts turned up a lot). Imagine how gutted I was when I found out it happened!

Can someone explain the deal with these promos. Obviously the match footage is fancam stuff, but the promos are TV stuff. Did they just not film the actual matches for TV, or is the fancam footage what they used? It seems a little strange to have promos filmed for the matches, but no actual cameras at ringside for the matches themselves.
