  1. No, not at all, and that's the problem. They're just throwing tons of shit at the wall and moving forward with anything that seems to stick. Cena, for example. They also have too many motherfuckers with input...most of which is either ignored or written off by the McMahon's. That's another problem. Why would Daivari not be allowed to do his flying carpet splash? It'd certainly get over. Maybe that's why he can't do it, because he'd get over? That's a problem. They should be letting anyone do anything they can to get themselves over. Instead, they don't let anyone do anything and everything is boring. I think that they need to get John Cena, Carlito Caribbean Cool, Randy Orton and Muhammad Hassan on the same show. Make those four the focus. Maybe Chris Masters too. Most of them are the shits in the ring but they all have the look and seemingly have charisma. It's like the Rock. It's easier to learn to work than it is to learn the unteachable. The Rock turned out to be the best thing for WWE ever...and he was a bad worker for quite some time. Athletic, yes, but not a good worker. Right now, WWE are just spinning their wheels. They're going back to the same dry wells. Hell, last week we had Cena/Bischoff in a Vince/Austin situation. They have got to get new ideas. As far as the Boogyman is concerned, it's a joke. It worked for the Undertaker fifteen years ago but he was booked as a monster for years. The Boogyman will be more like Papa Shango in that he'll be a laughing stock.
  2. I'm going to be honest, like was suggested in the feedback folder. I think ten at a time with this is way too much. I know I opened the thread anticipating a reply and then when I saw ten names instead of three-to-five, it sort of ran away my will. Anyway, I'll still do a couple: Booker T - It's interesting that you mention Booker after it's been a hot topic of conversation for me over the past couple of days. I believe that his best singles match to date is his burial loss to Triple H at Wrestlemania XIX. Not because it buried him, in fact, I think he should've went over. I just thought it was a really good match. I've never really been high on Booker. I don't think he's the best worker. I hated Harlem Heat. I wasn't impressed with the best of seven series with Benoit. He doesn't offend me when he's on TV (or at least he didn't before his wife showed up) and I wouldn't mind him winning gold. I've just never thought of him as anything special. I look at him the same way I look at people like Rick Martel and Paul Roma. I like them but they don't really do a lot. Tito Santana ~ By the time I was able to start following Tito he was a glorified jobber. Not a lot can be said about him by me. Hulk Hogan ~ Hogan was a big reason why I became a wrestling fan. I loved him in old WWF and I loved him in WCW when he was "Hollywood" and running the nWo. Hell, I even liked him when he came back to WWE for awhile because of the nostalgia. Now it's all wearing thin. It's old hat. I don't want to see him at Summerslam against Shawn Michaels because I don't care about either of them anymore. Hogan definitely had an impact and I respect that. Of course, you could argue about all the harm he did too. It's time for him to fade away. He's in the Hall of Fame, leave it at that. Mike Awesome ~ He gave me some legitimate "holy shit" moments during his matches with Masato Tanaka. It was mainly because I didn't think things like that would happen in wrestling. A running powerbomb over the top rope through a table on the concrete floor? That's not wrestling, that's murder. It was some crazy shit. I think he's decent for his size but without weapons and tables he's painfully average. Everyone can do a frogsplash nowadays. WCW killed his career. The Rock ~ I think he was the best thing to happen to wrestling since Hulk Hogan. Moreso than Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart putting on great wrestling matches. Moreso than Austin getting monsterous ratings. He made it fun to watch again. He was entertaining but in new ways. WWE needs him.
  3. Paul London looks like Christian Bale.
  4. **SPOILERS** Eh, I don't think I'm being negative. It was a good match, I just point out what I don't like moreso than what I do. I think the commercial breaks hurt the match a lot. I recorded it and cut out the commercials though, so I'm about to watch it again. Then I'll watch it a third time on MUTE to see what I think. I think the biggest downfall of the match was having to listen to Josh try to put the match over as the best wrestling clinic of all time every thirty seconds. He did name drop the Pillman Memorial encounter though. Upon first viewing, I'd say it was about ***1/2. Also, when I said that the crowd didn't care about the match, I think that was just because of shitty camera work and the fact that it was a taped show. They seemed to give a standing ovation in the end but I can't tell if the cameramen were just showing people standing up or not because the camera was zoomed in. Regal got busted open hardway which I liked. Benoit did a shoulder move before the Crossface, which I also liked. It just seemed like he could've done more shoulder work. He slapped on the Sharpshooter and Regal struggled to get free...but the Crossface was auto tap. Also, even though it's a taped show, you can tell that the wrestlers were stalling because of commercial breaks. Five minute knuckle locks don't interest me anymore, so I'm sure the live crowd didn't want to see them do if while the TV audience was at commercial.
  5. Aiight, when the commentators of a WWE TV show tell you the match was a "five star instant classic" you can pretty much bank on the fact that it wasn't. The ending was abrupt and seemed to have happened simply because they were out of time. The crowd didn't care about the match which I assume was because of all the chain wrestling at the beginning. The two commercial breaks took me out of the match. Seeing a Crossface Chickenwing and a Dragon Suplex were nice, not to mention a Tombstone being reversed into a Shoulder Breaker. Just throwing in a couple of moves that you don't normally see on WWE TV doesn't make the match a MOTYC though. It was a decent match. It just had a bad flow and seemed a little sloppy.
  6. The match is up next, after the current commerical break. Just reminding you jobbers.
  7. Not one but TWO commercial breaks during this match?! Goodness.
  8. You know how Benoit grew up idolizing the Dynamite Kid? I think it'd be interesting to see whom all these other wrestlers grew up idolizing. It'd be interesting to see the Shawn Michaels and Bret Harts being name dropped by the same people that say The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan. I want to see someone that grew up idolizing Rick Rude, Ted DiBiase, Curt Henning, Rick Martel and Greg Valentine. That'd be interesting to me. I wonder what someone like Charlie Haas would say?
  9. Reading over my last post, I can't believe how many times I typed "now."
  10. It's like Homicide had a good summer or something. He just kicked it up a notch or two out of nowhere. That and I like his character. I don't think I've ever even heard of Rocky Romero. Where's he from?
  11. The storyline that he proposed about the wrist bands with Angle seems pretty entertaining. I would've liked to have seen that play out. To be honest, I'm not real high on Charlie Haas. I actually didn't think he was that good of a worker. I know he's not a good talker...much like Shelton. Still, he had a ton of room for improvement and seemed to learn quickly. Maybe he'll go to RoH or TNA and try to get someone to do that storyline there? It's not like a ton of people will read or hear this interview anyway. I think it'd make for some good entertainment. Like he said, when it's closer to reality it makes more compelling TV.
  12. Alright, the match has been built up too much now. I have to watch it now. Hmm. I wonder if my expectations will be too high now? I haven't seen anything good from Regal in quite some time. Benoit even seems as if he's been calling it in for a long ass time now too.
  13. So, did anyone read the Smackdown Spoilers? Is the show worth watching this week? Hassan has pretty much been the highpoint of the show for me recently. MNM just squash nobodies. Batista, for me, is all action when he's not wrestling. I like the Mexicools and The Undertaker's entrance. Any reason to watch (download) the show this week?
  14. I've avoided this post because I don't know who he is either. I didn't want to offend anyone. Glad to know that at least I'm not the only person sitting in this boat.
  15. Eh, it's no worse than posters on a wrestling message forum acting uppity. Look at TSM. There's a ton of people who sit on their high horse and speak (type) like their word is gospel. If you disagree with them, you get bombarded by their sheep following. Apparently, they have people that go out of their way to defend other posters because they've agreed with something that they've said in the past. You know what I mean?
  16. Only reason I have broadband is because my brother pays for it. That being said, I'll certainly exploit it.
  17. Man, that would've been such an amazing promo. It's a shame no one will be able to see/hear it. I love me some Muhammad Hassan.
  18. Eh, I don't think it's worth the tape space. If the match turns out to be good, I'll download it.
  19. Is it said to be good or is this just a preemptive lookout due to the two workers?

  21. Man, that Matt Hardy shit was crazy. I was literally baffled. I didn't know what the fuck was going on. It was like when Scott Hall came out on WCW Nitro. I just didn't know what the fuck was going on. That was amazing. nWo type shit. It's been nine years since I've felt like this. Some weird, wild stuff.
  22. Personally, I love Joe. I wouldn't put him ahead of AmDrag but I do really like him. I don't get the Styles love. He seems to botch a lot of stuff to me. I'd say: 1.) American Dragon 2.) Samoa Joe 3.) Low Ki 4.) James Gibson 5.) CM Punk Punk beats Homicide. I also like Colt Cobana a lot but I don't think he's a great worker.
  23. I firmly believe that tha majority of the fans that were watching during the boom period are better off not watching. I believe that they were bandwagon jumpers and trend followers that just started watching wrestling because it was popular. They wanted to fit in somewhere so they could converse with everyone else and have a clue about what was going on. I remember when I was in high school everyone knew that I was a big wrestling fan. I had a detention pretty much every single day and I would always read Wrestling Digest and shit like that in there. People knew I liked wrestling but I didn't talk about it to people. It was just my own thing. It was one of my hobbies, along with playing Magic. Then wrestling got big. There was the nWo and D-X. Steve Austin, The Rock and The Wolfpac. It got really popular and everyone started watching it and talking about it. Stores like JC Penny's even had wrestling shirts in the display windows. Suddenly, people whom I didn't associate with all too much started asking me questions and shit. Truthfully, I was pretty popular, so it wasn't that awkward. It was just weird to see different social classes coming together to talk about wrestling. I hung out with a lot of people from the basketball, football and wrestling teams. Then I also hung out with my friends that I grew up with all through school that were in Math Counts and the Chess Club. The problem was, none of them were really wrestling fans. They didn't talk about wrestling. They talked about the other shit. "Hey, Coffey? Did you see Miss Hancock dancing on the table last night?" It was all the shit that happened outside of the ring that they cared about. Sable's outfits, Austin/McMahon, nWo Vs. Sting. I think a lot of those people ARE some of the people that are still sticking around. That's why shit like the Diva Search and Big Vis still gets shown and it still gets ratings. The Monday Night Wars killed wrestling. They made it not about the wrestling anymore and we're still feeling the after effects.
  24. I have no clue how to not alienate at least some of the fanbase. No matter what they do, they're going to piss off someone. If they start treating the women as more than just objects, it'll piss off some people that only care about seeing "puppies" and whatnot for example. If they were to cut back on microphone use in general, that could greatly benefit those whom can't talk. Benoit wouldn't be boring to people if he didn't have to be in segments where his opponent talks for twenty minutes and then Benoit has to retaliate.
  25. You can still have heels and faces. It's just that they need to eliminate tweeners. You either win fairly or you cheat. If you cheat to win and get booed that's great. If you cheat to win and get cheered, something is wrong.
