The thing that I will give Triple H credit for - and it wasn't all just him mind you - but due to (at least in part) Evolution & feuding with HHH, WWE got both Orton & Batista as main eventers. Orton has been around for like twenty years now too. World Champions that feuded with The Undertaker & wrestled at Wrestlemania without anyone batting an eye at their believability or position, really. Hell, I would argue that they were both better main eventers than even Triple H himself was. Randy Orton winning the title (I believe from Benoit?) and then HHH & Evolution turning on him & then Batista turning babyface on HHH/Flair & putting him through a table were both big, stand out moments in post-2000 WWE.

I moved to Michigan & moved away from all my friends & family, including Anvil whom I'm sure you remember. This Saturday for The SummerSlam, we're all going to watch it together & chat over Discord (Anvil & two other friends), so I'm really looking forward to that. The only constants through everything have always been pro wrestling & video games. It's how we all met & it's how we all stay in touch.

It's actually come full circle for me. I've been posting on forums about wrestling for like 20-25 years now... and Sek has been there for a lot of it. Sadly, my biggest "claim to fame" (if you can even call it that) was being the guy that defended Val Venis & thinking he deserved more of a push. Now seeing that he turned out into a burnout conspiracy theory nut, it's a good thing that didn't happen. Back then, we were all playing those THQ/AKI N64 wrestling games in real, modern time. Now all these years later, we're still talking about wanting a game that plays like No Mercy.

This is how I feel about Seth Rollins. Dude's shitty theme song is over so people are pretending that he isn't trash & has been for years.

Seth Rollins has go-away heat to me & I don't care if his theme song is over. I switched to old episodes of Jonny Quest on Tubi & don't regret my decision! Still holds up.

WWE is infamous for not striking when the iron is hot, for whatever reason. They're always seemingly really tone deaf. Also, I know Gunther has done a lot for the Intercontinental title for this reign but hard to not see Drew McIntyre challenging for it as a demotion since he's a former world champion.

I'm going to wait for reviews & watch some streams before I decide to get it or not. I've fallen for the preorder shit one too many times. Also for the "spiritually successor to WWF No Mercy!" on more than one occasion, too.
