  1. I still think the crowds turn on him, I just don't think it happens until he wins the title.
  2. They didn't mention the one that drives me the most crazy: the Devil's Advocate fan. If 4/5 people love a show, this person will hate it. If 4/5 people hate a show, this person will love it. They always have to go against the grain of whatever the popular opinion is. You see this shit online ALL the time, especially nowadays when everyone is trying to get clicks.
  3. I don't think that it's out of the realm of possibility that WWE could get FTR/The Revival back as well. Aren't their contracts up soon?
  4. We also don't get any of this Sami storyline if Drew McIntyre beats Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle.
  5. If WWE were going to pull an audible, it should have been at the Royal Rumble with Cody winning the Rumble, not at having Sami win the WWE title at a not-Wrestlemania show a month before Wrestlemania. The blow off for the Roman Reigns 900+ day title run has to happen at the biggest show. You don't crown the champion at the AFC Championship, you crown them at the Super Bowl. Now if that should have been Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania instead of Cody Rhodes, that's a different conversation altogether.
  6. I really liked the U.S. Title Elimination Chamber, although I'm disappointed that Austin Theory is the U.S. Champion. I don't see anything in that guy. I thought it was going to be used to elevate Montez Ford. I do also really like Bronson Reed, I've always been a fan of hosses, but I get why they eliminated him early as he was pretty gassed out. Sad we didn't get to see the Tsunami or Ford Frog Splash off of a pod though. We did get the Johnny Gargano uber Frankensteiner though! Also, I just really want to acknowledge how much both Rhea Ripley & Beth Phoenix killed in in their intergender mixed tag team match. The way the match was laid out to let the women shine was great. That Superplex was awesome. I'm glad that Asuka won the women's Chamber too. Asuka Vs. Bianca should be a really good match. I'm kind of over WWE presenting Liv Morgan as any sort of credible threat though. It looks ridiculous. Credit where credit is due however, because that off-the-pod Sunset Flip Powerbomb was gross! EDIT: Online, I'm seeing a lot of people mention that Sami winning would have been the correct decision but I think maybe too much emphasis is being put onto the hometown crowd? It happened with Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle show too. A hot crowd makes a show a lot more enjoyable but just like Wrestlemania X-8 in Toronto when the crowd was mega over for Hulk Hogan against The Rock, it doesn't necessarily mean you put over Hogan (or Drew or Sami). I don't know, I can see it both ways. I thought it was a misfire when AEW didn't put over The Acclaimed the first time when they were super over but it worked out (until they just lost to the Gunns). The point made earlier in this thread about how WWE has conditioned their fans to never expect the favorite to win the big one is valid, for sure.
  7. Roman Reigns is going to go down as an absolute all-timer. Main roster debut in The Shield. This amazing Bloodline angle. This heel run & championship reign. He has a lot of great matches and moments even at the biggest stage. Dude made me care about Braun Strowman for awhile and just made everyone believe Sami Zayn could win the WWE Title. Absolute legend and if we do another PWO GWE he’s going to be high on my list.
  8. Great show.
  9. When I saw that shit fucking women's three-way was the main event, I audibly fucking groaned. Paige spray-painting Toni's ass before the booty bump... it's like they're just trying to piss people off with nonsense. What a stupid fucking decision. I don't understand, I'll never understand & I'm not going to pretend to care to understand anymore: the women's wrestling fucking sucks in AEW. Straight up. It's not fucking Manami Toyota out there, it's a dentist that moves in slow motion, Toni who has lost all of her momentum due to Paige's bullshit & the green-haired jobber that has never impressed anyone. At least Jade looks like a star but she's NXT levels of not ready in the ring. Jamie Hayter is good & the crowd wants to care about her but they refuse to just let her be & keep putting her in Brit's shadow. They won't even let her speak for herself, it's embarrassing. I don't understand what they're doing but stop trying to pretend that they're on the same level as the men because they're not. They're fucking not. Who the fuck wanted that as the main event!?
  10. I didn’t get home from work in time to see the beginning of Dynamite- did the live crowd give a good reception to Jeff Jarrett after his father passed?
  11. I feel like my most important aspect of professional wrestling, as a fan, is believability. There's always going to be some suspension of disbelief needed just because of the nature of professional wrestling. Now where you fall on the chart as it pertains to like, the gap in between The Undertaker being able to shoot lightning or just a normal Irish Whip in a match is all down to the individual viewer. To me, nothing against her personally as I'm sure she's lovely, but as a wrestler, Alexa has never passed the believability test. I don't know about her frustration level as it pertains to WWE, or what's going on, but she was always used & pushed above her means in my opinion. You can't be 5'0", 100 lbs, with no offense that looks like it connects & expect to be pushed like Goldberg because you move some dolls. That whole run with her as champion where she was knocking people out was ridiculous.
  12. Whatever gets Bron to the main roster sooner.
  13. Man, speaking of Braun, him trimming the beard & slimming down killed any aura that he had. He always had that baby Huey face & him getting shook by Brock's jab I think killed any sort of "tough" aura he has but now he's lost his look, too. After all his foot-in-mouth social media stuff, his look was all he had. Now he doesn't even have that. Best thing he could hope for at this point is to get abducted by Bray Wyatt again so he can make him the fuckin Royal Crown jester for the next Soft drink gimmick match or whatever the fuck. Juggalo Braun in a Faygo Hose Deathmatch.
  14. I legit had no idea that The Rock wasn't already in the Hall of Fame. That seems crazy to me. I just assumed he went in years ago like Austin did.
  15. I’m surprised Joe won the TV title back.
  16. Glad they replayed the spot where Jade carried Velvet up the stairs, that was awesome. Looks like that table might’ve busted Joe open hard way on that dive.
  17. This Danielson/Thatcher match is super boring, sorry.
  18. Why is that? Because you say so? lmfao
  19. Also, I know it was an homage to his brother, but the Shattered Dreams is a very heel move. The #30 guy kicking the #1 guy in the balls to win. The crowd is going to turn him heel just like they did in AEW because he always comes off as pompous & extra. I mean, the entrance with all the pyro was ridiculous lmfao.
  20. Finished the show this morning. The ending angle was great. That pop that Sami got was awesome & I liked Jey being conflicted (again) & just leaving the scene. That's good shit, pal! If Wrestlemania was one night (like it should be) & there was only one world title (like it should be) which match is the match that the fans most want to see & gives the crowd the biggest feel good moment? I feel like the answer to that is the payoff to Sami beating Roman in the Bloodline feud. Of course there's that whole "Sami can't go to Saudi Arabia & if he's the world champion those shows don't have a world champion" issue to deal with. Because, y'know, blood money. I almost wish they wouldn't have announced Cody Rhodes' comeback ahead of time or had him in the Royal Rumble at all because this is going to really hurt him going forward, I feel. I think the crowd is going to turn on him. I think they did the right thing with the Owens/Reigns match going on last. I was wrong about that. Still feels weird that the men's Rumble went on first.
  21. The problem with the female Rumble every year is that there’s only ever like four over women in the whole goddamn company. So you just have the audience not giving a shit about like 25+ of the fuckers in it.
  22. This women’s match is worse than the mountain dew match and it’s not close
  23. Does Bray... have the fucking Mountain Dew logo on his arm in glow in the dark paint?
