Cool. Another faction horseshitting up every single match with ref bumps and interference.

Why are Roman and Braun working an Internet angle when both are heels and they're on different brands? As for house shows, WWE was cutting way back on them even before the pandemic because the poor attendance was hurting the stock price. The thing is, most of the wrestlers actually enjoy doing them. The folks lower down on the card get much-needed ring time while the ones higher up get to spread their wings a bit and work without worrying about things like time cues and playing to the hard camera. Plus, their incomes take a hit without merch sales and their cut of the gate, although that's likely balanced out by fewer road expenses.

The sites are archived on the Wayback Machine and the Mediafire links still work (for now, anyway-if he stopped paying for the domain names he likely stopped paying for file storage as well), so all is not lost. -

Are the Ditch websites down for anyone else? -
That Jake episode is going to make for some depressing viewing if they make Grizzly Smith out to be as much of a monster as he evidently was.

WWE must truly be running on empty if they're turning to the Total Divas era for nostalgia. I mean, even if you can overlook the fact that Eva Marie is absolute death once the bell rings because she's hot she "plays her character well," Alexa Bliss and Carmella already have that niche covered. And really, presuming that anyone in WWE's career is on the skids due to their own failings and not Vince's brain worms is laughable. I don't know what reliable advice you could give to a woman in the company who wants to get ahead beyond "dye your hair blonde and get implants." And even then, there are outliers. Like Asuka, who was too talented and charismatic to be denied despite creative's best efforts. And Nia Jax, who is terrible at literally everything except being related to someone who was a star in the Attitude Era.

If this is the Rocco/Yamada match you watched, I thought it was pretty great. It's apparently regarded as one of the classic UK matches of the era. -
Not even memeing, Taichi is my favorite wrestler in New Japan, perhaps even overall. I greatly appreciate the fact that he doesn't go out there trying to prove he's the toughest man in the world or be too cool for school like the Bullet Club. Plus, he's a sleazy loser who deep down is desperate for Kawada's approval. That's just a great character regardless of what you think of him in the ring.

Keep in mind that CJ Perry is a trained actress, so she's actually on the high end of the roster when it comes to acting ability. If she doesn't possess the range necessary to pull off a soap opera angle, virtually anyone else in the company would be even worse. It's for that reason that soap opera storylines in wrestling are almost always a disaster. If wrestlers could act, they'd be in Hollywood, not pro wrestling.

Remember when Gargano was in the Royal Rumble and looked like a child next to everyone on the main roster?

That's only if her career is actually over. She still has plenty of good years ahead of her if/when she decides to return. The problem is that WWE wasn't successful with her as the top star. If we're going to call Roman Reigns a failure on top, the women post-Ronda have been even bigger failures by any conceivable metric. -

I think Ronda Rousey has a much stronger case on those grounds. As hot as Becky was, there's no way she would have been considered for a Mania main event without Rousey as an antagonist. And it was her success in UFC that forced WWE to treat women as more than a T&A sideshow. "MMA is pro wrestling" is a longstanding punchline on this board, but the fact remains that plenty of voters take it into account.
