First clip they show is Adams jumping into the ring. Guess that is one of the ABC’s of learning wrestling.

[1990-02-10-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Interview: Four Horsemen
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Yep, it would not have made much sense for Horsemen to just go along with Flair putting the title on the line against Sting. Ole does a good job of explaining that. I think they should have not had Sting scheduled to face Flair in the first place and delay the turn a few months at least. -
[1990-02-10-NWA-Worldwide] Midnight Express vs Rock & Roll Express
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Funk keeps calling Chris Cruise by the nickname Crispy. I liked Eaton’s version of the backbreaker where he turns into a pinfall attempt but keeps the knee in the back at the same time. Eaton takes a crazy bump off the top rope to the floor outside. That was scary. They really didn’t sell it much though. Cornette gets involves lots which you expect. Camera angle misses finish as they show Cornette on the floor instead of what is happening in the ring. Typical match from these two teams though didn’t seem to have the crowd heat. -
Anyone come out of Bill Dundee's Wrestling School? Lawler seemed to really get a laugh out of the whole thing especially when Brown mentions he would want to become a wrestler.

[1990-02-10-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler Loves Wrestling Fans

[1990-02-10-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Robert Fuller & Brian Lee

I like how Lee just holds the mic for Fuller. Which is smart cause Fuller talks it up real well.- 12 replies

[1990-02-10-WWF-Superstars] Wrestlemania VI Report w/Gene Okerlund
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Main event announced for WrestleMania. Tunney has big pictures of Warrior and Hogan on the wall of his office. Thought it was kind of silly to tease which title would be defended. -
The Wrestlemania 29 Early Spring NY Weather Disaster Prediction Thread

I'm in 111C. Tickets were really expensive overall but I didn't take a vacation this year so felt like it could pay a bit more. -
[1990-02-10-NJPW vs AJPW] Big Van Vader vs Stan Hansen
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Ghastly eye injury that had me cringing. Have never seen this but have heard about it. I can tell something is wrong with Vader but we don't get a good close up at first which annoys me. Then when we finally see it I'm barely able to watch. Vader is freaking out at first and looking like he wants to just leave the ring. I'd be totally scared if something like that happened to me. He continues to battle on with Stan Hansen of all people. Not a great match but it is very physical. They do a lot of teases of getting counted out so when it finally happens it's pretty obvious but also kind of disappointing.- 24 replies

I think I preferred the previous tag match to this one. Tiger Mask just seemed off in the match. It did get really good when Tenryu and Choshu were in there together. They kept their interaction early to brief moments so it built to later in the match when they went at it more. Count out finish wasn't the best but there is a certain amount of protecting in these inter promotional matches.

Crowd is way more involved compared to the previous Larry/Saito match. Great atmosphere. The tease of maybe Jumbo tapping out to the submissions were great. Drama for the armbar attempt was fantastic. Finish was kinda weird with Jumbo just doing a Thesz Press and getting the pinfall. Fun match.

[1990-02-10-NJPW vs AJPW] Larry Zbyszko vs Masa Saito
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Crowd was really quiet early on the Larry could be clearly heard through the match. Felt this was going to be a flat match but they manage to turn this into a good match. Larry goes all heel with the low blow that the fans don't like. They really had me on some of the later small package pinfall attempts. Nice moment for Saito.- 24 replies

[1990-02-09-NWA-Power Hour] Sting has been attacked
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
They should have tried to tape something. So Horsemen does a turn way too early and Sting immediately gets hurt. Bad timing all around. -

[1990-02-10-USWA-Championship Sports] Kerry Von Erich and Gorky Park
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
More Kerry sadness with putting over Gorky Park as being anti drug just like the Von Erichs. Had to look the band up as I was not familiar with them. Apparently they were first Russian band to appear on MTV and toured with Bon Jovi in 1990.- 14 replies

[1990-02-09-UWF-with '90 2nd] Akira Maeda vs Yoshiaki Fujiwara
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
The corner headbutts by Fujiwara were great. So effective as it allowed him to hit Maeda with some punches to the mid section at the same time. The finish came out of nowhere. Crowd weren't ready for that one.- 14 replies

Match definitely has odd feeling after the earlier turn on the show. This was the most heavily promoted match leading in and now you have the crowd actually cheering Muta's team. Trying to see the Sting injury but it's not clear. He was getting yanked on pretty hard at times by people trying to pull him off the cage. Oh the second time Sting tries to climb there seems to be something wrong as he barely even climbs it. And he's visibly hobbling too. That sucks.

[1990-02-06-NWA-Clash of the Champions X] Least Shocking Unmasking Ever
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
Rick looks to be wearing Kurt Angle's bad wig/head gear from 2002 when he got his head shaved. The title of the thread is very accurate. -
Real goofy ending where we don't seen what actually happens as the finish. But can't be bringing a camera into the women's bathroom anyways. Solie makes an attempt to get into the lady's bathroom but gives up quickly. Mean Gene would have been slamming on that door trying to break it down.

[1990-02-06-NWA-Clash of the Champions X] "Cactus Jack is dead!"
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in February 1990
That was nasty. The announcers both played it up when it happens. Cactus does get up a bit too quick though which kind of weakens the bump. -
Sheesh, this came way too fast. I know it was coming but it really wasn't played up enough on TV that Horsemen were not satisfied with Sting. Anyways, Ole does a pretty decent job explaining why Sting is getting booted out of the Horsemen. Seem like they might do the whole what will happen throughout the show as Ole gives Sting the option of just walking away but Horsemen put the boots to him immediately.
