First time seeing it and really enjoyed it. Love me some wrestling music videos. Didn't recognize that many guys but was nice to see Owen in there. Thought one of the females in video was Tawny Kitaen. The wide shot of all the guys singing was great.

Well I hope I was as first order batch. Anyways, still looking forward to this showing up in my mail box.

Tough choice for me as there is so much of the 80's that I haven't seen. But if I need to make the safe pick then it will be the 90's as I really love AJPW from this time period and the late years of WWF. Still feel if there were to be yearbooks from the 80's I would be get to see a lot of new stuff that I would enjoy. I think a more interesting vote would be if all footage was available would people choose the 80's over the 90's.

I don't have access to that fancy portion of the site.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Yeah, it was an excellent documentary. Definitely worth checking out. Feel like the matches included was kind of a let down since so many of them were already available on other dvds/blu ray. Still think Bret vs Shawn one is the best of the most recent ones released. -
Took a closer look at the match selection. First yearbook to not have either SMW or ECW on it. Interesting to see what will be included besides the regular big promotions. Seen no Abrams UWF so that will be new for me. Very little shoot wrestling. USWA seems to be well represented. What is the difference between USWA and USWA TX? Was that the old WCCW promotion?

This could be bad for me. What I don't need is the extra incentive.

Biden is going to get his trans am.

Big time debut for Undertaker who squashes his opponents (Dusty and Koko) before eventually getting counted out. Bret versus Dibiase was solid and they had a really good back and forth action between the two.

[1990-01-21-WWF-Royal Rumble] Ron Garvin vs Greg Valentine
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in January 1990
Crap this is a submission match? What's up with all these pinfall attempts? Both guys looked stupid at times trying to get the pinfall when it was established that it was a submission match.- 35 replies

I was about to tell you I don't, then I remembered this is my board. Genuinely funny moment. Yes, you are a bad example. I think I am the least knowledgeable wrestling fan on this site.

I feel like I'm one the only person on this site who doesn't have a website/blog or podcast.

I figure this will probably just the finish. Anyways Hogan is his normal unsportsmanlike self in this one. Back to back years of him eliminating his friends from behind before blowing a cow in 92 for it happening to him. Perfect or Rude should have won this.
-
Thanks. Makes sense as I think on a recount it would favor much higher on rankings. I generally hate crappy footage but this match was able to go beyond that.
-
So who got in more offense in their matches? Andre the Giant or Phil Collins? Gilbert Gottfried would not have made a good booker.
-
So checked out the DVDVR rankings for the 90's and didn't see this represented at all. Was it just not widely available or has it just grown over time since those rankings where done? I have gone through some of the older threads on this website mentioning 90's rankings and seeing Lucha probably needs some updating. I just figure this one would have been ranked higher in the end.

[1992-12-28-WCW-Starrcade '92] Big Van Vader vs Sting
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in December 1992
Tournament seemed to be nothing but you still get Vader versus Sting. The splash/powerslam reversal off the top can look obvious but it is still impressive when it is done to guy with Vader's size. Good match overall though and nice way to end a solid WCW year. -
[1992-12-14-NJPW-Final Battle] Great Muta vs Hiroshi Hase
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in December 1992
Yep, the blood was really flowing here. Which to me seems tricky with Muta since he wears face paint to the ring. I feel it's a bit overrated as a match at this point. I can be really down on Hase at times. Probably too harsh on him. Overall it's a decent match but felt like Muta put him away too easy in the end. With the blood loss he probably should have lost the match.- 19 replies

[1992-12-27-WWF-Worcester, MA] Shawn Michaels vs Randy Savage
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in December 1992
Didn't really like this but Loss does bring up some points about Savage that he could have still contributed to WWF as a top level guy in 93. Crowd went pretty nuts for him at Survivor Series as a surprise entrance in tag match. I do like the though of heel Savage vs Bret in 93. This match itself wasn't very good though. -
I kept thinking this was the actual final match on a tournament basis. Akiyama does a pretty solid job for a rookie but this was missing Jumbo in here as in the end it felt like the finish was really obvious on who was going to win.

Yeah, didn't like this promo. When it comes to kids, wrestling needs to stay away from this kind of promos.- 10 replies

[1992-12-19-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and the Moondogs

I was not buying Lawler and Lee together. Just way too much happened over the previous year to accept them uniting. -
