    It felt like we were just going to get another tease with Embry running off after Lawler shows. But Eric returns with a chair which he fires at Lawler. Jerry does his own chair throwing. More guys show up and we are swinging chairs at each other. We even get more brawling later. Great segment.

    Match listing confused me at first as we have a tag match. There must have been a huge amount of powder used in a previous match as when they get slammed on to the mat, you can see a white dust cloud.

    Lawler explains that choices of lumberjacks are not to attack Embry but to keep him in the ring from running away. Makes sense.

    Embry brought along a flower to give to Fargo for the beating he took. Lumberjack match is set with Lawler. Embry is not thrilled with the selections of lumberjacks and runs into the ring to take his frustration out on some jobber.

    Dave Brown tries to explain Sabu’s upward finger point. Could be something wrong with a light fixture on the ceiling. Sabu could throw some punches. Running the ropes is a different story. RVD wants a rematch.

    Elizabeth want us to know that marriage is between a man and a woman. Piper and McMahon having fun with Savage at the announce booth. Liz has nice things to say about Savage. Randy, with some guidance of the fans, gets down on his knee and proposes. Great response by Elizabeth.

    Bit on the lackluster side. I liked Austin moving to WCW as he didn’t seem to be doing too much in USWA. He looks like a star but the whole package hasn’t come together yet. Eaton having a rough go as now he loses TV title.

    Kawada outsmarts Jumbo by ducking the lariat and hitting the powerbomb on Ogawa. Somewhere Kawada’s mouth got bloody and he’s steamed about it after match and he gives Ogawa a couple more kicks while he was lying on mat.

    Pete’s comment about not knowing who would take the pin comes rings through on this match compared to AJPW tags. Good action towards the end.

    I always cringe at the dropkick move by Benoit from the top rope to the outside. Match didn’t feel that much special with the mask versus mask stipulation. Might as well get the mask off Benoit. I’m really enjoying Liger’s top rope DDT though.

    That video of Flair being stripped of the title is something else. The fans are not happy with the announcement. Never seen this match and makes sense as it is fan cam so boo. The dudes videotaping this are trying to do commentary at the same time. This will be tough once they starting using both rings when multiple guys get in there. Heels don’t need a JJ Dillon to win the coin toss. Hard to get into with it being a fan cam.

    When they talk about hush over the crowd the announcers always seem to be covering for crowd just not responding. You don’t exactly get the feeling with Undertaker’s matches though as I think there is certain awe of him and the gimmick at this time. Taker sitting up from the piledrivers is awesome. Good match with even though Taker does the job he still looks really good in the end.

    Announcers talking up Berzeker’s big win. Beefcake needs to give himself a haircut. Brutus wants to asks some questions to Macho but only wants a yes or no answers. Putting Randy on the spot. Savage admits to loving Miss Elizabeth. He’s ready to ask her to marry him. Cracking up with Savage saying he answered the four questions correct. Savage wants to marry Miss Elizabeth at Summerslam in MSG. Nice sell of the next show.

    Well, I've hit the half way point for 1991. The thing that comes to my mind first is WCW. It was probably the best promotion for the first half of 1990 and now it's tough to watch. What a drop off in form. The angles/story lines are pretty bad and Flair who was great in 1990 isn't doing too much at this point. WWF may not be providing that many TV/taped matches but both the Rumble and WrestleMania delivered some good matches. WrestleMania was well represented on yearbook. Maybe the most of any of the previous yearbooks. Memphis has been good but USWA-TX has been frustrating with their overuse of gimmicks that are prohibited by PG censors. Lucha hasn't been as strong as been mostly just Bravos matches. New Japan has had some good matches with Liger/Honaga but AJPW seems to be getting in gear towards their run in the mid 90's.

    Paul Dangerously playing with WCW toys. The ring ain’t bad looking but I give the edge to the WWF toy ring. We get a clip during this of Heyman hitting Hervey with the cell phone. That video should be accompanied on everything to do with Paul E. Note to self. Never refer to yourself as a TNA fan when trying to pick up chicks.

    Never got into wrestling trade cards. Just baseball for me for a one or two year stretch. I collected Topps full year either 89 or 90 I think. Must be somewhere at my parents house. Another crap rap from PN News.

    Lawler piledrives Embry on the floor but we cut later in match. Lawler hitting piledrivers on everyone in the ring. Leatherface’s chainsaw stops working allowing Lawler to hit him with a chair. Lawler keeps fighting back but the numbers get to him. Why nobody coming to his aid? Well he don’t need cause he manages to run everyone off. Jerry looking like superman.

    Yeah, the announcers trying to legitimize Ta-Gar is funny. St. John thinks it is hard to wrestle Ta-Gar as you can’t see his eyes. Ta-Gar may be an alien but feels the same effects of a low blow.

    Leatherface is creating havoc in the studio. Embry manages to get him to cool down. Eric does a promo focusing on only Lawler.

    So Anthony seems to be a face now. Sabu in Memphis. USWA is before they were stars right now. Don’t recognize Judge Dredd. Dirty White Girls gets tarred and feathered at the end.

    Crowd really getting behind Kawada’s kicks. Hansen trying to scalp Misawa with chops to the top of the head. Announcer really gets over Misawa’s facelock as a devasting hold. Dug Kawada getting those armbars on Hansen. Stan is just too clever at the end getting both Misawa and Kawada with the lariat. Good match.

    Nakano was taking some chops throughout. I liked it and thought it was really going to pick up once Yatsu went chair crazy and tagged in. His interaction with Tenryu is a bit on the short side though. They could have got more out of that before going to the finish.

    Dutcho Unchained. It did run a bit too long and it amazes me they put so much TV time into something like this.

    Promo for Flair versus Luger in a steel cage at the bash. So looking forward to it.
