A Memphis match comes to mind immediately. When he was teaming with Eddie Gilbert as the New Fabs they have a great brawl with the PYT that goes all over the building. I can't remember the date off hand ( 84 sometime). I'm sure he has more great stuff from Memphis. There is a clipped match against Buzz from Southwest. Haven't watched it in years to remember much about it. That might be worth seeking out.

His Summerslam 97 cage match against Mankind is pretty solid. I don't mind the no blood factor at all. They have some nice escape spots along with some decent violence. I really enjoy how the match starts with HHH just darting straight for the door without a lock up. Makes him look smart and a coward at the same time.

[1996-08-18-WWF-Summerslam] The Undertaker vs Mankind (Boiler Room Brawl)
victory replied to Loss's topic in August 1996
Decent match. Certainly not my favorite of the feud. It gets better as it goes, especially once they get out of the boiler room. The almost zero crowd response while they were in the boiler room was strange until I noticed why. They had four 36 inch TVs placed around the ring for people in the arena to view the boiler room part. Anybody more than 5 rows back couldn't see a damn thing.- 17 replies

After re-watching this match I got the impression Vader was supposed to roll out of the way so Shawn could miss the elbow drop. He definitely gets worked up over nothing.

Very well written. I've vaguely even knew of this feud and now I feel like I know a ton about it thanks to all the info and detail in this write up. Great stuff!

Add MX vs. Fantastics from Clash 1 ( 3/88). Really great brawl that even sees Cornette throwing around chairs.

Here's a few I would add for you to at least check out to see if you want to add them. Hansen vs. Blackwell ( AWA - 6/86) A fun bloody brawl Rockers vs. Somers/Rose ( AWA - 8/86) Probably my favorite tag match from this feud. Steiners vs. Nasty Boys ( WCW - Havoc 90) Too bad these two teams didn't have more matches because this one is pretty awesome from start to even the aftermath. Cactus/Payne vs. Nasty Boys ( WCW - Stampede 94). Definitely eye opening for this era. Undertaker vs. Mankind feud. They had quite a few fun brawls. Some of them have some hokey stuff for sure, but I don't think it takes anything away. Take your choice of KOR 96, Buried Alive 96, Survivor Series 96 or Takers Revenge 97.

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't understand why Duggan was mad at Atlas. Duggan just comes off like an angry drunk.

I think anything after the stroke has to be exempt. My pick would be Lesnar vs. Angle from Mania. I was so amped for that match and besides the SSP botch, just a flat, uninspired match. I actually thought the Angle vs. Lesnar was okay for how bad Angle's neck was going into that match. I guess if I didn't know about that or have that in the back of my mind while watching it I would probably agree with you.

The Bulldogs vs. RNR Express was a dream match for me that I didn't even hear about until years later. That match deserved a better territory to promote it properly so they had more than 500 fans or whatever that sad crowd was. The match itself was just okay from what I remember. I might have to revisit that one in the future.

The Roku doesn't have any chapters, so it's just a fast forward guess. Hopefully down the road they have a skip to the match option.

Most are going to pick the era they are the most nostalgic for. Which would be when they were kids or teenagers for the most part. That's going to hold true for music, movies, etc. I'm good with any wrestling from 81 thru 93 or so since that is when I started watching along with when I became more of a casual fan.

Some of these countdowns are a fun watch overall even when I disagree. The New Age Outlaws wouldn't even be in my top 50 let alone top 10. Rock n Sock was pretty ridiculous as well.

I really thought I would hate Legends House. After watching the first two episodes I've been pleasantly surprised. The shirt Atlas had on of sneakers was cracking me up. Also does Hart think he's still working in Memphis? I'm sure he can afford more than beans and a baked potato. I know he said he was a picky eater though.

I don't necessarily want to see him in a match in WWE. A proper DVD/BRD set was really my only reason for wanting to see him go to WWE. Now that they have set a release date for one I'm good with just that. A HOF induction in the next year or so will be fine as well.

Houston is one place that comes to mind. After looking at the link below they had quite a few it seems. http://sportsandwrestling.mywowbb.com/forum2/348.html

Did Savage ever face Mr. Perfect?

Is this why the photos from WWF events in those mags always seemed to be shot from about a hundred yards away from the ring?Yes. That's also the reason you only saw the posed studio type of photos of non WWF wrestlers. The WWF guys only had action shots for the most.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away

I'm sure they will have two others, the article just didn't mention them. Josh Matthews will have the Mean Gene spot supposedly. Edit - I take that back. Booker T. Is also on the panel. -
wasn't apter getting money from WCW or is that just another old scott keith chestnut? PWI produced the WCW magazine for them at that point so Apter and company were probably a little biased when it came to WCW content.

The fourth part of Warrior week tonight is going to be a Legends Roundtable with DiBiase and Slaughter as two of the guests that was taped yesterday. It should be interesting to hear their comments to see how honest they will be. That bio one last night was pretty touching. -

If you mean worst as in unintentionally great, then yes! :-) Oh yeah, I had fun with how awful he was. Highlight had to be when Luger makes his appearance. Savage and Monsoon go on and on about Luger and him being an all-American, etc. After about three minutes of this there's a minute of silence and Donovan finally chirps in with, "who's the guy in the American flag shirt?" I love how Donovan asks pretty much in every match " How much does this guy weigh?". You can tell Monsoon really gets annoyed and just stops acknowledging him after a while. Savage to his credit does tolerate him it seems.

One for me would be The Steiners vs. Money Inc. in a cage from August of 93. I know most dislike the lack of blood, for me it works great without it. Using the cage as a choking device at times really delivers the message that both teams will do whatever it takes to win. They have a lot of fun escape spots throughout along with a great finish spot. DiBiase is probably the weakest guy in the match which tells you how hard the others work. Great match IMO.

Just thought I would share a quick memory of Warrior. A few years in the spring of 2012 when Warrior first started doing those autograph tours again I had the chance to meet him. He was by far the coolest wrestler I've ever met and I've met quite a few over the last 12 years since I started seeking out autographs. He really seemed so genuine in thanking you for being a fan and didn't brush you off like so many of them do. When I went to take a pic with him he had the guy do it again because he thought the first one was off center. How many wrestlers would of done that? I asked him about Kerry and Savage and he said they had off the charts charisma in person. One of the coolest things I found out was after the autograph session concluded. According to the promoter Warrior was only paid to stay for 3 hours, but stayed an extra 3 1/2 without any payment just so he could meet all his fans that night. Another thing I thought was cool was he stood the entire time so you didn't have to take some crappy pic leaning over a table.
