  1. Just watched a bunch of Midnight Rockers stuff from the AWA. Next up is some territory stuff from the Road Warriors.
  2. Starting to try and catch up on some of these. I enjoyed the Keller one more than the Meltzer one. Dave was sleep inducing until the Pillman stuff.
  3. Scott Steiner vs Ric Flair from Clash 14 was horrendous. Another one for me because I just saw it recently and absolutely hated it was Flair vs Rude from Fall Brawl 93. This match just keeps going and going and is boring as shit. It feels like it's three or four bad matches in one.
  4. I could see Punk doing it, he has always said he deserves to go in the HOF . At one point Warrior only had two guys on Twitter that he followed ( Punk and Austin), so he must have some mutual respect for Punk.
  5. When I read this, I literally ran downstairs to turn on my Roku and add the channel. I can not find it. Are you sure they added it? It's only available on a Roku 3 device as of now. I sure hope Roku doesn't pull the same crap for the WWE Network. I only have a Roku 2 and want to purchase a second for the Network since the kids hog up the other, I just don't want to get stuck with a wrong one.

  7. In general I hate comedic wrestlers. Kurt Angle is one of the few exceptions. Usually comedic wrestlers also carry that persona into their matches where Angle for the most part wrestled serious. That's the main reason why I enjoyed the gimmick so much, dumb jock who made me laugh in skits then made me mark out with good to great matches during that period.
  8. The best Wrestling related Xmas gifts would be when I received a whole bunch of the AWA Remco guys along with an AWA VHS of the Greatest Tag matches back in the mid 80's. I remember getting The Freebirds, Blackwell, Hansen, Colon and Abby. Always enjoyed the Remco guys compared to the WWF LJN guys. The worst would probably be last year when I received the WWE DVD OMG top 50 moments. I wasn't able to return it to the store and took me about 10 fuckin months to sell it on Ebay!
  9. It is really hard to go wrong with 1986. The promotion really clicked that year. I agree 86 is a great year. Unfortunately the Saturday Night show doesn't really hold up all that well for some years. I just recently watched the 85 and 86 years again and some of it was pretty hard to sit thru. Maybe I'm just not a fan of the small studio shows anymore. Even back then I enjoyed Worldwide more. Personally I would go that route or what Bix said and go the best of route.
  10. This board is pretty tame when it comes to flame wars. Everybody on here seems to understand when to stop pushing an issue they don't agree on. I personally try not to even post my lame jokes on here as I would other boards so I don't offend anybody. So I think the hands off approach is best for this place.
  11. This would be my pick. I've seen a ton of his 80's to know that he sucked, so I can't imagine him in the 90's for which my eyes are very thankful.
  12. Another great feud from the JCP days that you should see would be Magnum T.A. vs Nikita Koloff. Some really fun stuff.
  13. I saw someone mention Virgil. He would definitely be on my list. Jimmy Valiant would probably top my list. His interviews were fine, his wrestling was not only boring it also sucked.
  14. I have all my DVDs in binder sleeves by company. Such as AWA in one binder, World Class in another and so on. For comps I have Best of binders for those. I keep them all in a huge filing cabinet. I also have them in order in the binder so for example all the WCW Halloween Havoc shows are in order by year. As for the official WWE DVD's I just have those in a small tv stand cabinet in order as well.
  15. I always kind of fantasized about them having Saturday called " Old School Saturday Wrestling" where they would show all the 80's syndicated shows from the territories in order every Saturday. Example: 12 pm - WWF Championship Wrestling 1 pm - WCCW 2 pm - AWA All Star Wrestling 3 pm - JCP Worldwide 4 pm - Mid-South 5 pm - Stampede 6 pm -CWF 7 pm - WWF Primetime or a WWF House show After that maybe a Clash or a SNME then just recycle it to the morning.
  16. I'd go with the WCW 92 category. Just listened to that podcast and was yelling into my phone for you guys to mention WCW 92 before you did. I know not everybody agreed, but I'd throw in Bash 92 as well. Pretty strong tag matches despite the tourney format which usually leaves no time for good matches where this one debunks that theory.
  17. Some of those Garvin vs Valentine matches are pretty stiff. I enjoyed an MSG one they had just as much as the Rumble match, can't remember the date.
  18. I'd add Hawk to the list. One of my favorite things about the Roadies were Hawk's interviews. I'm not talking their WWF run with the " What a Rush" crap. More from their AWA and JCP days stuff where it seemed Hawk always something clever to say or some witty one liners.
  19. Cool piece. I might put some in a different order, otherwise I liked your list. Also thanks for making me feel old. It was said that Chad was 12 yrs old for Havoc 98. I was frickin 25 and married by the time that show came out. Damn time flys by.
  20. Not a huge fan of Inoki, just don't hate him. Sometimes he can get annoying though. Now Baba on the other hand I would probably put in the hate or strongly dislike category.
  21. I would never put Sting as a GOAT candidate, but he would move up the chart if he could of cut a decent promo. He was terrible. I haven't seen much of his TNA run, so hopefully he improved.
  22. I did not. I'll probably rewatch it tonight to make sure. I didn't hate this match just didn't love it like others did. Too chop heavy for my taste.
  23. 93 has 5 good to great matches. Besides some of the ones mentioned in other posts I would add Orndorff vs Steamboat, Austin vs Dustin and Rude vs Flair from that card.
  24. One of the bigger names I can think of would be Chris Adams. He was in quite a few odd tag team pairings like Atlas, Simpson, Lance VE, that might of gave him some pins against Buzz Sawyer or Matt Borne possibly.
  25. I had never seen the 70's version of Graham when he arrived in the AWA in late 83 with the Kung- Fu gimmick. I actually thought he was pretty cool back then and I was anticipating a showdown with Hogan. Now that I have seen all versions as an adult I realize how crappy that Kung-Fu gimmick was. Despite that I still like some of the Florida stuff promo wise with that gimmick.
