Is there some reason these wrestlers won't stay away beyond stupidity?

That's my initial read as well, as if you think KENTA, White & Ospreay are making it back within a couple months there's no reason to hot shot this. After nearly a decade of delivering both booking and in-ring I'm more than willing to see how this plays out, but despite his KOPW match with Okada a couple years back and a few other moments generally built around the G1, Evil's felt like someone with a firm ceiling below the top level. I certainly prefer him to Sanada who always comes off to me as the most blase, by the numbers name in NJPW except when he's in with Okada. Consider me curious.

Is KENTA ill or hurt? Sidelined out of COVID-concerns on his part? I don't recall if his absence has been addressed.

This week's show was an absolute home run. From top to bottom basically every segment was really strong with the 8 man tag and Taz's promo the clear standouts in my book. Hell, I normally can't stand Joey Janela and though this match was really good. Just a terrific 2 hour television program. Oddly enough I've watched NXT first the past couple weeks because I was more interested in Sasha/Io and Cole/Lee than anything in AEW. Next week is a bit of a toss-up between Io/Nox and Mox/Cage so we'll see who comes out ahead in my house.

Times like these I wish we still had a like function.

This eye business really feels like peak Death of WCW. I can't argue with those pointing to all the movie matches as more of the same, but at least there's an argument that they're trying (and already overdoing) new ideas given the empty arena situation. But this? I've got no idea how to defend or spin it.

I'd imagine it depends on the expense involved with editing them to meet any Network/legal standards, but that's just a wild guess.

Unfortunately no surprise from someone proactively looking to defend Cornette, above and beyond all others, against any recent accusations. Spare no expense, but leave the memories alone!

Generally agree with the thoughts above. At the end of the day this managed to exceed expectations that were tempered by the fact it was a TV match with all of one week's build with a finish setting up subsequent TV. Give these two a PPV platform and time and you've got potential for a legit MOTYC. What stood out to be here was just how terrific a bumper Banks is. She almost perfectly straddles the line of exaggerating her bumps and sells to maximize the damage taken without becoming at all comical. Just incredible timing and knowing when to extend and cut off those pauses and facials while working on defense. Meanwhile every time Shirai is given more than a few minutes on TV she shows why she's one of the best workers in the world. Hoping we see that rematch one day. ***3/4

It wasn't nearly enough to suggest that they've hired Kevin Dunn, but it seemed like there were more camera jumps on TV this week than I recall from AEW. Has this always been the case or am I just noticing it?

Give me 10 minutes before the shenanigans start and I won't complain too much. Thatcher/Oney should be dope as well. Both have delivered almost every time out here and I see no reason a hot, fast paced match shouldn't happen tonight as well.

Wednesday night wrestling has generally become Thursday/Friday afternoon programming during COVID, but I'll be tuning in tonight for Sasha/Io. Hopefully they're given time without handcuffs to deliver something special.

Many of us are terrible, awful people who take their cues from terrible, awful people. Its really a lot of fun here.

When's the last time Low Ki wasn't living on his rep and Hitman gear? I suppose this is one way to get his name out there, but would bet against it working out as he might hope for.

Did anyone ever find out who these guys were?

Have to think they're pretty significant at this point. He's undoubtedly in close quarters with the agents who've tested positive so his exposure is high and counting on some good fortune to come his way.

Not a trend I'm familiar with in this unfortunate story or in many other cases where accusations are leveled against an individual. I wasn't sure what may have made JC different.

Where are these stories? All I've seen today has been tied to some of the names above in the UK scene.

Better late than never. Hopefully the groundwork laid elsewhere in society forces the industry to take these things more seriously.
