MJF had a really good 40 minute match with Punk. Danielson had a masterclass for 60 minutes against Hangman. I don't like Iron Man matches as they tend to get too cute with the falls and structure but I'm for sure looking forward seeing if Dragon and Max are able to pull off a great PPV main event.

Joe as a killer champion is always hard to lose but Darby had to win.

They need to get better camera work. Every week there's a mistimed camera cut that goes away from something the audience needs to see. The stuff with Sonjay getting ejected and the Dusty finish was a fucking mess.

I find it hilarious that the talk from this thread went from "you should appreciate Bryan Danielson while you can, no matter what he does" to "donating money to good causes is bullshit if you have money".

First "aw damn" moment was early September when it was announced AEW was booking a 1/4 show in Seattle. Which it meant there was no way Danielson could work WK. No one that knew that the show was his hometown ever thought he was working New Japan on that date, that's not the issue. I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised about people being disappointed that his match would be another "Danielson vs solid worker" TV match when TK books big matches for his biggest stars when they wrestle in their hometown. This being the first time they are doing Seattle is even more bleh. Basically, TK first took the date out of the equation by booking Seattle and then gave us an uninspiring match for the occasion. If you think a Tony Nese match is something to get excited about, more power to you.

Agreed. Wouldn't shock me if it was Dragon's idea and TK was like "OK!" like a happy dog.

I guess we'll get a MJF/Danielson angle next week but color me disappointment that his "homecoming" match is against Tony fucking Nese.

I find it very weird that they didn't build the 1/4 show that much. It has Starks vs Jericho but not much else. At first I thought the main selling point was going to be Danielson vs MJF considering it's in Seattle but so far Dragon doesn't have anything important booked for Wednesday (missed opportunity, imo). The 1/11 show with the ladder match and Saraya's mystery partner feels like a bigger deal. Seems younger people were watching Bowl games, the demo was pretty low this week.
