That was a good opener and (hopefully) a satisfying feud ender. Just pick it back up when Christina can comeback and let JB cook for a couple of months. A top of the cage elbow shot to the midsection was a very weird set up for STF submission though, lol.
  10. But Yuta hasn't taken a lot of time of Dynamite nor a coveted spot from someone else. He got the shit beat out of him for three weeks in March and it got him very over as he showed defiance and the crowd got behind him. Then he wrestled a lot of tag matches on TV, some multiman matches and jobbed to Jericho and MJF as they were being prepped for bigger things. That's a midcarder spot that a guy like Yuta should totally have, imo. I mean, it was a very little bit. It was probably 2-3 weeks and then shit started to lose steam as the angle began to turn into a weird "who's got García's custody" between Danielson and Jericho. I'm not confident García could've stayed over after moving on from the program with Danielson but not pulling the trigger meant all the time and effort meant jack shit and it only hurt a commodity like BD.
  11. I don't get the complaints about Yuta at all. Dude has been in the midcard, where he should be, with occasional bigger matches that he loses. He also gets some promo opportunities that he should get because he clearly needs the reps. Considering his role in the company, I have no issue with the way he's been showcased. García I totally understand as he's been way more prominent and gotten way bigger spots on TV. And even though I didn't agree with the push he was getting -have no issue with him as an in ring performer, but I find that he lacks everything else to warrant the spot he was being given- BUT, after putting him in the spotlight for so long and basically using Danielson to prop him up, only for him to remain a heel and disappear from TV is a bizarre booking choice. It feels like TK had all the faith in the world in him, and then all of a sudden he didn't anymore and moved on and all we got as a result was a never ending feud that went nowhere and wasn't worth all the effort they put in.
  12. So uh, what happened to Daniel García? Did TK really just spent like 3 months (and 3 Danielson losses) building him and his angle with Jericho up just so he would go back to be just another guy on Dark? What a waste of TV time and slots that could've gone to more promising talent.
  13. That's exactly what I was thinking while watching that clip.
  14. And even after Blood and Guts they had that main event were he lost the barb wire match to Jericho and had that horrible, rushed, WWE-like post match beating "to keep Eddie over" that failed miserably.
  15. If Kingston never winning a meaningful match is a long term storyline, what meaningful match is it building towards him actually winning? As Nintendo said, these angles very rarely work so there's a chance this all ends up with him winning a nothing belt and having a lesser position than he had before the Jericho feud.
  16. Shota is back? fucking finally!
  17. The main event was really good. Logan Paul is very good at this pro wrestling stuff. And the Tribal Chief was perfect in his role in the match.
  18. We should've gotten Eddie vs Danielson II after Anarchy in the Arena. Of all the feuds TK has no problem leaving in stasis, that was one he should've had more patience with. That rivalry has more "money" on it that anything Danielson vs Jericho related. Shit, you also avoid Eddie getting suspended because he wouldn't have been involved with Sami. Then him going after Claudio could've been even bigger. That's very debatable. Like I said, I'm sure Eddie vs Danielson would've meant more to the AEW audience than the random matchups between Jericho and Dragon. Which honestly, only did 1 good rating, one forgettable PPV match and a mediocre quarter hour for their last match. I honestly think a Death Triangle vs BCC feud would've meant more for the company than a 6 month feud were literally nothing has been accomplished. Mox vs Jericho I will give you but that was more about the Lionheart shit that TK loved so much than BCC vs JAS (meaning, it could've been a one and done).
  19. The most baffling thing about BCC and JAS neverending, horrible feud was that it peaked like 6 weeks in with the Anarchy in the Arena and Blood and Guts matches. Why in the name of fuck did it kept going is something I'll never understand. At first I thought it was TK doing it to propel García but even that was thrown to the bushes with dude staying a heel with Jericho. This feud legit made me stop watching.
  20. I would hope so but I remember Jericho being part of a couple of big quarter hour gains/segments before getting the ROH title so he probably got the green light to do whatever the fuck he wanted with that belt after those metrics. I hope TK pivots but I don't have any faith in that dude.

    AEW TV 11/2-11/4

Me? hell yeah. A dude like Kingston would probably have a response that would turn the whole situation around and get him more over. The Elite guys would probably do some tongue in cheek shit that would probably get a big reaction too, tbh.

I don't think they'll get massive chants like there were in WWE but I have no doubt there's gonna be a few people that will heckle Kenny and the Bucks by screaming Punk's name. I actually wonder if they'll respond considering they have a live mic, or if they'll be even allowed to.
  23. We literally had a report last week that said "we asked Punk's side for comments and we got an answer". That's where Larry being injured and Punk thinking Page would go for business for himself at DoN came out. You seem to not like reporting when it's from the Elite side (most of what's been out there in the past 6 weeks) but you also don't acknowledge reporting when it's from the Punk side and people either don't believe/wave it off/laugh at it (which is what happened last week with Nick Hausman's story). When that happens, it's hard not to think you'll only accept a report that goes against what's been out there so far and puts Punk in a better light because it reads like you either don't like what's out there or don't like how people react to what's out there. That's a lose-lose situation. These type of stories are based off sources, there's no other way to actually attack it unless you hack into the arena's security cameras and leak the footage (if there's even anything that's relevant to the fight). If Ace's wife contradicts what's been said so far, then what? Why would her word be more credible than anyone else's? Only thing that that would generate would be even more arguing and most likely a very toxic rhetoric towards her. Even stuff like The Elite going with Megha to Punk's lockeroom is something that anyone with rationale would take as a huge dumb mistake by those guys. I know not everyone feels that way but that story has been out there since day 2 and that's not something that shows Kenny and The Bucks in a positive light in my book. I've been critical of both sides since this thing happened and no amount of reporting has made me think one side was "more wrong" than the other. Both were dumb as fuck and the fact we keep arguing over "yeah but X said they were more at fault!" feels so useless, no?
  24. I've only paid attention to the 18-34 demo and WWE (at least RAW) went from being below AEW to above it. That's interesting to me. I can see younger audiences feeling AEW ain't cool anymore and stop watching, but why would they tune in to RAW is not something I'd expect.
  25. How has been the demo for SD! this year? I've been really impressed with RAW's number since Vince left but haven't paid attention to the blue brand. Very interesting how in 14 months the younger audience slowly shifted to WWE.
