Yeah, the only person who seemed to be thrown under the bus was Swole. If Tony wasn't such a petulant, thin-skinned manchild (again), none of this shit would have blew up like it did.

At least they were committed to Kofi before they ultimately jobbed him out . They're not even pretending to give a shit about Big E. The nature of his victory (babyface cashes in on an injured oppenent. No plan, no journey. Just a reactionary ratings grab.) kneecapped him from the start, and they've done nothing since to suggest they see him as a star. Poor guy just looks like he's keeping it warm for Seth before Mania season.

It genuinely seems like Vince has thrown in the towel when it comes to babyface stars. Like, they know they'll fuck them up anyway, so why bother. All his faves are heels. Constantly standing tall on every show. It would explain the inexplicable Becky Lynch heel turn. Poor Big E might be the worst booked world champion in over a decade.

WWE TV 11/22 - 11/28 LeBron James is a King's Road Style wrestler

Also, Kevin Owens was one of the biggest and best babyfaces on the planet early this year and they they didn't even attempt to keep him hot after the Roman feud. They just fucking hate babyfaces. Booking heels is so much easier. -

Yeah Bianca was doing surprisingly well. So, of course they had to set her back. Now they're in danger of turning her into the babyface Roman Reigns which is NOT good. -
The only thing of any interest from WWE this year was Bianca Belair becoming a superstar and, well, umm...

Sad state when backstage goings on are far more interesting and talked about than the onscreen product. I'm still eagerly awaiting Bray Wyatts post wwe interview. Wade was pushing the narrative that he was "difficult" to deal with backstage and that made him an easy cut. I wanna know how much of Brays shitty creative was down to him vs Vince and Bruce.

That might be the worst Cody match yet (and he's recently had some real stinkers). I can't believe how bad he's turned out to be.

WWE TV 10/11 - 10/17 All Is Not Well in the House of Riddle
Badlittlekitten replied to NintendoLogic's topic in WWE
This is why I'm not interested in the current Roman stuff or WWE in general. There's no elevation. The concept of a 'rub' is far beyond them. Just waiting for the uproar when The Trible Chief storyline is finished with a Brock squash or a loss to The Rock. -
Cage hasn't a fraction of Big Es personality. He'd flounder in WWE.
-
Hell yes on the Darby/Moxley/Eddie super over babyface team. WWE could never. Wonder what Punk's got to say. Face vs face with Darby is going to be strange to get around. QT Marshall shouldn't be getting any TV time at all. Just a waste of ever precious time on Dynamite.
-
I'm not gonna defend the WWE brain rot of squashing Bianca Belair, but it has galvanized her support. It's typical WWE though. Getting babyfaces over by beating them, screwing them over and putting heat on the company. People were with her when she addressed the Becky defeat last night at the house show.
-
I dunno. This isn't the screwed over babyface Becky from a few years ago. She's basically become Charlotte Flair. I think it could actually work. The Man thing had long lost steam and she plays a better heel anyway. And Bianca is resonating as a babyface.
-
Becky Lesnar? I'll take it.

WWE TV 07/26 - 08/01 The Olympic Games are a wonderful event

Man, not even Cena can make WWE good anymore. Just rotten. -
The Elite have been frustrating during AEWs run but they've really started to hit the mark as uncool dickhead heels recently. The Bucks especially have become good TV stars and a weekly highlight.
-
Yeah. As long as they slow down with it I don't think it's a bad bit of pub. I'm more worried about what Meltzer said about The Hangman's push. Apparently "plans changed" and he won't be getting the title shot at All Out. Hopefully he's working or being worked, because pivoting away from that story now is the kind of thing can kill off fan investment and good will. Especially if it's to placate the arrivals of Punk/Bryan. That's TNA level bad. Despite the flaws, Dynamite's been electric for a while now. Not capitalising on Page while he's hot will put a massive damper on it.

Aaliyah busting her nose was a work.

It's amazing how they've turned Drew into just another whiny, entitled, dickhead babyface. He was doing so well.
