Rey's a tough one as his post-WWE run probably doesn't net him too many points for this discussion. Has some bangers in Lucha Underground but not enough where he's a top 10 or so wrestler for the past few years. I don't think that's going to be improving anytime soon. Cena should probably be mentioned but hard for me to realistically think that someone that has not been the best wrestler, or in the top 3, in his company for a single year makes it sort of hard to justify in my eyes. Granted, someone might say his 2011 deserves that rub. Sekimoto hasn't been included cause he's not that good.

Wasn't meant to dismiss Casas as he's a legit contender for 90s and 2010s (could be 2000s but haven't seen the footage) and has one of the great matches of the 80s. The more I think about it, the more I think Liger is at least an honorable mention for this decade.
-
Does Casas really have that much of a case in the 1980s?
-
In no order: Daniel Bryan Virus Negro Casas Sami Callihan Cesaro AJ Styles Timothy Thatcher Chris Hero Will try to expand on some of these folks. Admittedly, while I probably wouldn't have AJ as my #1 for any single year, he's active and very good-great throughout the entire decade. A lot of the other top contenders disappear for awhile.
-
Admittedly have not seen the big NXT matches. Have seen WALTER vs. Thatcher...and I'm still not sure where I stand on it which is inherently a good thing but maybe not a good thing about the match. Riddle vs. Ospreay is on the show I'm watching as I type this.

I started tracking my MOTYCs and writing reviews for them on my blog. The rule of thumb is it if the match gets ***3/4 or above it gets a review and a spot on THE LIST. Been keeping more engaged with the wrestling and enjoying the wrestling more. https://spandexarestillcool.wordpress.com/2018-motyc-radar-list/

http://wdkwrestling.libsyn.com/problematic-wdkw100-ballot-breakdown After a hiatus brought on by the WDKW100, it only seemed fitting that the return featured a discussion about Dylan Hale's WDKW100 ballot. We break down his ballot block by block as well as discuss how some of his picks fit into the big picture. After hours of discussing the ballot itself, we also talk some overall thoughts on the list and what could potentially be improved next year. -
Frankly, I probably should do a blog post on my post-WDKW100 thoughts or at least do a podcast on it. Probably will do something, this isn't going to be too in-depth (at all in-depth) but here were my thoughts coming out of it: Not sure how I didn't see it coming but between making the voting public (not new) and adding in a 50 wrestler ballot (new) the FRINGE WWE guys got a boost that they likely wouldn't have in a smaller pool. But at the same time with a lot of other territories having less years and WWE having the most STUFF to watch maybe it wouldn't have mattered all that much? This year didn't have as many WILD CARD picks move up the board higher than you expect. NJPW, indies, and WWE had representation in the top 10 which I am very happy with. Favorite placement was Oney making it as high as he did essentially off doing bad ass sprints. Man of the people. The people I was afraid would feel like their opinions didn't carry weight in the project actually didn't seem to mind the results that much. That was my biggest fear as the results were becoming clearer and it doesn't seem like it will be an actual problem coming in next year Not surprised but a little bummed at AJ Styles rising to the top based on being someone that everyone knows is great but very few thought had the best year. No idea what tweaks to make next year, probably will be small things. Based on the random tests I did on the back-end one change won't likely make the difference but too many changes would probably ruin the whole thing.

I do it for the love of this great sport.
-
Wait...how is some of the dream match appeal gone? That seems silly.
-
The thing about Riddles case is that while he probably regressed slightly, his volume and diversity probably took a boost. Being that he worked at a high level at a lot of different places, a lot of eyes were on him. And his match with Miller gave a big boost to a certain group of this voter pool.

Not to throw a wrench into things but Fenix and Pentagon Jr. have been confirmed for All In. Frankly I would think Volador Jr. is the next most likely name.

Biggest Pops and Best Crowd Connection you have seen in person
concrete1992 replied to gordi's topic in Pro Wrestling
Is it weird to say big pops don't stick with me? Hardy Brothers at Mania this year was a big pop, but the reason I remember it is only because I read it in this thread and went "I guess that was pretty big". All other possible options were on a smaller scale. And even then I can't remember if it was amplified because it felt big to me. Was Generico hitting the brain buster on 123 Kid truly a big pop or do I just remember it being awesome? As far as crowd connection goes, had to be Brodie Lee in 2CW for me. Didn't matter where they put him on the card, which I think they noted as they kind of kept him around less over guys for a bit, he was always getting patient reactions. His final weekend for the company was a trip. No one expected him to win and keep the belt but no one was complaining. He was their guy. -
All In not being an ROH show but a Bullet Club Produce show is still very good. They essentially give these folks free reign, to ROH Benet, but when it comes time for the show that matters they kick them to the side. Dope dope dope

HEY I REALLY LIKED OUR SHOW I'M JUST LAZY! NEW EPISODE ALERT BTW! http://wdkwrestling.libsyn.com/desert-island-comp-2-quentin-moody Starting off a new series of shows here on the We Don't Know Wrestling feed! The Desert Island Comp series (working name) will have me sending off a wrestling pundit to a deserted island. The catch is, they get to take with them a compilation of up to 10 matches and up to 3 promos, angles, vignettes, etc. The next person I am sending off to a deserted island is Quentin Moody, host of Psychology is Dead. We discuss his 10 matches and 3 promos/angles! We go through the wrestlers he is attached to, his origin story, and just good graps. -
This has the potential of being the best card this weekend. If only GCW would take more of this type of approach regularly instead of the buffoonery it does with having death match workers sniffing cocaine mid match... Buffoonery? It is called WORKING!

At first I was like "That sounds bad" and then I began to think Dickinson might be dumb enough to attempt to shoot on Severn.
-
For those not in the know, PCO is currently 50, over 6ft, weights probably 250+ , practices BJJ, and does the sickest moves. GCW is doing so many things.
