  1. LOL! And I doubt that many were legit tuning in for Chris either at that point! Let’s see, main event that night, a Nitro, is Sting & Luger vs Bret and Hogan…Goldberg has a Big Gold defense against Al Green…Jericho retained his TV title in a 3:16 (heh) in a glorified squash of Disco…okay it’s in the final hour so *shrug* and there was no Raw that week. 2. Or FAHHHHHHHHHHNNNN-DAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH-OOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  3. Wonder if this Twitter Twat realizes constantly giving a narcissistic attention whore troll with a “haters gonna hate” mentality the “every bowel movement treatment” is just as big of a reason for him running in 2024, and feeling that he’s still relevant in the national political arena as the crowds that show up to his rallies.
  4. I’m over here hoping Fetterman stays off the grid now, much like a wrestler staving off much needed surgery until after working a big match, and heals as much as he actually can. No reason he should have been out there as much as they propped him up over the last 7 months.
  5. On the weekend of 9-11 even! WE TH… Oh, right sorry Chris
  6. Now I want them to wrest away the black butterfly robe from the WWE!
  7. Looks like these guys are picking up from where the older Hall left off, in close by Schenectady. Two classes so far, and nearly 40 inductees https://www.prowrestlinghall.org
  8. At least at that location, one way or another. https://www.pwinsider.com/article.php?id=153476&fbclid=IwAR25T8NH3TunNWxxmtKw-ALRC_gpORhnzu3vhrUHPdAr9TKS4sZm2HAuys8 Be a sad end to something that had been running for nearly 20 years and with over 200 inductees, and trying to be a legit all-encompassing Hall for Pro Wrestling.
  9. Perhaps. I was referring to social media/network apps, where even if you weren’t planning on hitting up a news site (wrestling or otherwise) chances are friends/accounts you follow would have at least shared or been all “WOW. DID [insert whatever here, again not just pro wrestling news] JUST HAPPEN!?!?” which would pique interest in looking up what is being discussed.
  10. IDK, this isn’t pre-2010 any more, where being a smark, knowing all the insider gossip was almost by choice. Back then it was easy to criticize worked shoot booking because only few watching or in the stands knew, or cared about such things. Now, you can barely avoid it with all sorts of apps on your phone where you can get breaking news.
  11. Do yourself a favor and watch the movie it’s spun out from!
  12. Found a couple recently that have been going for a while https://www.podbean.com/podcast-detail/a46ew-2323b2/Mat-Memories-From-Madison-Square-Garden-Podcast John Arezzi follows his streak of making every MSG card from summer of 1971 to summer of 1977 https://www.spreaker.com/show/wrestling-history-101 More of a comedic pod from a couple of casuals, going through WWE PPVs starting in 2010.
  13. How is it in non-scripted sports? In the US/Americas, offspring and other generation removed relatives of past performers are often celebrated. Which is probably why wrestling uses it as a frequent storyline.
  14. I honestly think Corgan is being such a mark for mainstream publicity, that he wants the Ten Pounds of Gold to show up on the set of various highly rated basic cable shows (The Five, Gutfeld!, etc). No matter how illogical it will be for the NWA storylines.
  15. The segment’s booker, Dusty, often discussed it in several places.
  16. Which has me LOLing since I saw an AEW social media Stan act like this is such a backstab, and called Gargano a traitor. No, that would be if a contract was signed, or it was close to being signed, and HE backed out because he realized Trips was back in power.
  17. Conrad really needs a Glenn Moore-ing, in terms of getting in such hot water with one of his show’s host that he goes completely radio silent/off the grid. Yeah, hard to do when you are in “the family” of a high profile one, but it would be nice for him to disappear!
  18. I mean he called the fans out in the Pipebomb promo.
  19. I thought Vince was playing it more as a tweener. Punk was still playing heel until his return when Cena “won back” the title.
  20. Flair really is going out Randy The Ram style, isn’t he
  21. Someone explain the flipping off gesture? Seeing it compared to Rock doing the “TALK TO THE HAND” to Hogan gesture at the WM 18 Go Home show. Obviously they weren’t going to shake hands, but seems like it was a “for the sake of it” move towards someone that just did a save job, as compared to raising the belt in a “soon there will be no interim” way and walking out.
  22. FWIW, around that time MSG inked a historic deal with the Yankees, which I thought could have been a factor. The deal meant that with their regular Knick and Ranger broadcasts, they’d have a live major sporting event broadcasted virtually every day in a calendar year. But that happened before the end of the run. What was the timeline with the development of Raw? That could also have been a factor as well. In terms of “why are we letting house shows air, when we have a new weekly prime time show? Especially with more production values and content than we could do with the broadcasts of the house shows.”
  23. I’d imagine the Titan Tron and/or the other boards in the arena were showing the action.
  24. I really wish when he came in, he was all “Bryan Danielson is Brie Bella’s husband, and father to Birdie and Buddy. Here in AEW, you will refer to me as AMERICAN DRAGON!”
  25. Already seeing WWE Stans going that way.
