  1. Jeff G. taking exception with Dan calling him Satan because Satan is a fictional character and that he'd prefer being compared to Hitler because they're both "ambitious and misunderstood" was just astounding. He became just so much more psychotic after Iceberg's debut, it's great.

    Triple H

Shamelessly stealing this. That's a perfect HHH encapsulation.
  3. It's gonna just be a panacea when she's in charge.
  4. Last August for Ambrose/Rollins to determine who would get to set the stip for SummerSlam. It was actually a good working of it, though, with a really good 15 minute Ambrose-Del Rio match (in what would be ADR's last RAW match) and a silly Rollins-Slater distractionfest that let Slater get a pin.
  5. I missed that preface, so yeah, you're right. On just "Would this be a JerryvonKlassic or not?" terms, though, I really wanted to throw it in.
  6. How about the Chris Harris-James Storm Texas death match? TNA's best ever match!
  7. I'm a bigger fan of the DtD match than the one from the Rumble. I don't really remember MNM's selling as anything bad.
  8. Angle was injured at that point, they hype his return a little on commentary. I really love Tajiri as FIP in that match.
  9. I think that that's a more interesting pick than the EddieJIRI-Team Angle match from SmackDown (5/27/03) that has always been my go-to for an incredibly entertaining Lie, Cheat, Steal match because of where it falls in that Eddie-Rey superfeud. But it's very topical after SummerSlam, knowing who definitely booked the former and supposedly pitched the finish for the latter. Plus... EddieJIRI!
  10. This made me laugh. Pretty much the easiest way to get certain segments of the crowd behind a guy is for there to be stories about how the company is holding them down. Look at how over Ziggler is despite not being very good at anything except being a Billy Gunn tribute act. And I was only half-joking. It seems to be the most sure-fire way to get some support for a guy these days. Reality Era! There's the political hit! The political friggin' hit! It's there. It really needs to spread.
  11. At least he's not the only one saying "World Champions of the World", though.
  12. I think that a focus on longer singles matches and individual development (with the creation of a hierarchy) really is key. Paige & Sasha had a very good 14 minute match on RAW last month. Nikki & Paige had a strong 12 minute match in January. That's not a difficult level for them to achieve and maintain at all. Get away, away, away from the sprint mentality.
  13. Protects Rollins's standing SSP.
  14. It's the REALITY ERA. Nobody knows what this is supposed to mean except that Triple H is always right and our great savior.
  15. I'll laugh the next time that I see anyone call Reigns the golden boy when it's been Rollins all along.
  16. Lil Naitch's sell of catching 'Taker's jacket is the best moment of the night by a mile.
  17. OH GOD THE SUPERPLEX INTO A FALCON ARROW AGAIN, please kill me.
  18. He's not a heel in this match. Yeah, is this supposed to be WM 23 or something? A fucking frog splash?
  19. Rollins has the world's worst heel offense.
  20. Cena and Rollins are going to go Broadway. And Cesaro and Owens.
  21. The title match is going on last because it's going to be screwy, right?
  22. Yeah, I was far more invested in SD as a young smark. Even if it was taped, it was still the one actually on network TV, so the "B show" stuff was obviously dumb. Of course, it never had SHAWN. Gotta have Shawn!
  23. The dawn of the brand split allowing Triple H to just dominate RAW is probably the best single reason why anyone would hate the split in and of itself. And there were some pretty barren PPVs, of course. Two two-hour shows both on USA with genuinely distinct looks (and as much done as possible to keep SD from being a second-class show since it wouldn't be live)? I like it. I never liked the drafts, though, not because they were too fake but because they were just really awkward. People suddenly having brand pride and all. Plus the non-televised draft shenanigans like the Triple H for Booker/Dudleys trade were annoying.
  24. Now I'm just wondering if Verne banged Bischoff's wife or not.
  25. There's more of them? Nobody asked him "JR, why the hell are you talking about Jim Nantz getting stoned in the Mystery Machine?" after that first one? Amazing.
