Ratings came crashing back last week and they are pre-empted from their usual time slot tonight - although the NBA means they will get a big lead-in. I hope this means they do some course correction cuz I have not been a fan of the last couple of episodes

The weirdest thing about this Raw was that there was no Dave Meltzer to review it on Radio. His mom passed away yesterday and thus he obviously couldn't do a radio show. It really makes you admire someone who has been so professional and stuck to his duties and obligations as thoroughly as Dave has over the years, despite all the disruptions in his personal life. Commiserations to Dave, much love and support to him, and I applaud him for not committing a crime on his already traumatised brain by watching fucking Monday Night Raw in December 2020.

Owens and Reigns will have a steel cage match this Friday?! I don't get it, was the TLC just the prelude? Should a TLC match with no fans in attendance ever be a stage-setter for another gimmick match? Am I 65 years old and yelling at a bunch of clouds?

There's a world of difference between Brody throwing a bitchfit and no-selling Luger's offence, and how the story had been told for literally decades about how Brody shot on Luger and beat him up and had him run away like a terrified bitch. At no point in the vid I posted does Brody take any actual liberties with Luger. Yeah he was an unprofessional fuck, but he didn't come close to trying to hurt Luger at all. Hell, I would argue that Luger looked pretty good and Brody's weird antics made him look like an idiot

Sasha legit should get an award for how great she made Carmella look, and how much their match overdelivered. It is by sime distance the best Carmella has ever looked in the ring. Sasha is a special talent

What kind of terrible booker puts Daniel fucking Bryan on the pre-show?!

I think we already talked about it once upon a time, long long ago, so I am not making a different topic about it........ BUT This is the so-called shoot, when Brody apparently decided to go against the result and shoot on Luger - wrestlers who love Brody and who hate Luger love talking about this, cuz of course they do. But, actually watching the footage...like, that did not happen at all?!?! At no point in time during this footage does Brody "shoot on" Luger in my opinion?!?!? If anything, this footage really puts over Luger as a tough SOB even more than a match of this nature ordinarily would have?!?! So, like, why that infamous story then?

Is Mox on paternity leave already? The last two shows have really missed his presence and charisma. He is always good for one tremendous promo/segment every week and I feel like this show needs him.

Also, as much as I don't like Omega, let's be fair: it was not an actual world title shot. Janela would have earned a world title.shot had he beaten Omega. He did not, so Omega and Callis are free to rant about whatever the fuck they want; especially given that a lot of it doesn't interest me at all

I definitely feel this was a very underwhelming episode of AEW. I get that this booking has led to a lot of interest in the last couple of weeks, but I think the last couple Dynamites have been really underwhelming and have either not led to any cognisant eventual result, or are just prolonging a story - with rather boring characters - that doesn't interest me

Always love to see Serena and even Ivelisse, who, whatever you might say about her, is a precocious wrestling talent. Big Swole looks so out of place here. I would get it if it was just a lack of wrestling ability. But she is neither big nor particularly swole so I really don't know what her appeal is supposed to be lol

These two rookies are terrible. Forget about being John Cena circa 2002, they are worse than Bull Buchanan 2002. That rap would have been out of place and cringey in 2002; it was embarrassing in 2020

That was a great promo by Rosa. However - and genuinely no disrespect to Rosa - Britt remains the only legit star in the AEW's women's division. I hope we have Dr. Baker, our heel world champion soon. That belt needs her. She's genuinely the best thing in the women's division rn

Lol Kingston cut such a great promo, he got PAC to be cheered like crazy as if he is a returning hero. If no one else, at least @C.S. will agree with me about how that shows just what an absolute epic promo Kingston is. An absolute King. So glad to see him in action

Yeah congrats to Cody and Brandi I am sure Sting fans are loving his return, but his segments have left me stone cold...cold for me. He's an almost-been who nearly was a star for a year, and who has basically done nothing since then

Okay, I know Matt Hardy is a legend, but I hate how prominently he has been pushed, and I don't care how many people he puts over *Eventually*, I still think featuring him this prominently is a mistake. On the other hand, their slow build of MJF v. Jericho has been perfect so far. That's an absolute goldmine of an angle. I hope they keep on this path.

I echo the ones remembering him as Deebo. My lifelong passions have been pro wrestling and horror movies, and that overlapped it perfectly. Rest in peace. He was terrible as a wrestler and as a main event worker, but for me, his wrestling run will always have a soft spot for me

I hope so damn much that the next WM has Roman v. Big E as the main event, but I have learnt my lesson and will never allow anything in WWE to actually excite me ever again

FWIW, I think the then-Dean Ambrose refused to crack some tasteless cancer joke at Roman's expense, cuz he felt it was very insulting to Roman who is obviously one of his best friends. But your larger point is absolutely correct. I had also forgotten about the end of MNF, so thanks for reminding me of that. Is this year any different due to covid screwing around the normal schedule?

If anyone deserves to throw their weight around, it's Roman. Which top guy in history got shafted on their big coronation moment even half as many times as he did. More top guys should do this tbh. Reminds me of when Jake Hager shared a story on Jericho's podcast about how Cena refused to put him over in 2010, and literally everyone's reaction was "Thank God, thank you Cena"
