This was my only issue as well, disappointed that Su's reign ended so flat, short overall, in a quick match, and without her involved in the finish. Hoped she'd have a more epic run after the build of the character killing off Rosemary and the amazing build up to the Madison match. Tessa is great no doubt but this felt a bit like a rush to get the title on her as not long ago she had dropped 2 matches clean to Madison then beats Allie and wins the title.

Great Briscoes/SCU tag. Battle royal was a lot of fun for the first half until all the more interesting names were eliminated and you realize the ROH title match is inevitably gonna be just a match you could see on any ROH show. Would've bought the show immediately if Billy Gunn won. Bully Ray was a fine substitute but mehhh ending. I've thought Cody a lock to win the NWA title but seeing it's not the main event, maybe not even the semi, gives me doubt.. hope he does though.

I absolutely love the Hogan/Edge v. Billy & Chuck tag title change from 7/4/02, so fun.

That must be the case, cause he was listed in the original press release for it but nothing since, lol.

It's definitely got that glorified house show vibe right now. Figured they would at least put Shane O Mac and/or Kurt in a match to make it seem more special.

Mella IS Money. I was shocked but glad they didn't have Almas tap out yet again, as he has recently to Styles and Rusev.

83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff

Also a fellow Lance Storm guy here. Always one of my favorites, thought his mic work was rather good in WCW. Raven is another I will always mark for and wish he was used more in his WWE run the way he was everywhere else. -
WWE TV 08/20 - 08/26 THE BIG DOG IS THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION

The venue for HIAC is now advertising Braun/Roman. I felt the Shield three way was done to absolute death a few years ago to the point where I never got the big deal about it. -
I didn't mind that particular instance, as if Ronda is asking Alexa if she's ready for the punishment she's about to endure versus if she was yelling out the move or the next spot or whatever.

Exactly what I was thinking as well -

Just preventing an injustice. Seth and Dean protecting their friend and brother, came off very babyface like to me. If Braun wants to be a man like he claims, he can face Roman straight up one on one without Roman having just fought a 19 minute match, next week or any other. Can't see them turning arguably the two hottest faces on the brand right now in Seth and Dean. -
Agreed, seems like such an easy character to keep hot through vignettes and promos without having him wrestle every week... which is probably how he should've been used for the most part since he became Woken. Losing 9 weeks straight to the B Team, clean every time, was a terrible end. But there was never any effort made to even attempt to make the character special as they had Wyatt practically squash him in their first match at RAW 25.

Amen to that 100%. Been sick of them and their five minute matches killing off all other teams for months. Precisely why I can't stand Strowman and any of his feuds, nobody ever comes out better and his push has been super forced since they destroyed all of his organic momentum last year when Brock beat him straight up clean and quick. While that is clearly how it should be, it's actually just Hardy/Nakamura without Orton. Of course that seems to make it obvious that Orton will cost Jeff whereas the triple threat would have at least gave it a little suspense.

For me, I can't stand either guy. I think Ciampa is goofy as hell and always has been with his 'look at me be EVIL! on Twitter!" heel work, so I have zero interest in seeing him as champion. The first match fine, the 2nd match was overkill and I despised the finish, and after both of those went 35+ minutes.. yeah no thanks. I was sick of Gargano after that no sell spotfest with Ohno earlier in the year, then admittedly really dug the Almas match but have no desire to see him and Ciampa over and over again. I understand most everyone loves this stuff but I see it the way most people felt about the HHH/Shawn feud with 30-40 minute matches (which conversely I do love)

Carmella's been on the main roster for 2 years and hadn't ever really been pushed strongly until these past 4 months. I think she's been fun as cowardly heel champ but once she loses the title, she'll go back to the middle of the pack like she was. Always thought Alexa has had several strong matches in ring and has earned her spot on top, even if this current reign is just to be fed to Ronda. I dunno, only pushing the pretty seems weird when most of them are.. and most that have been around for any real length of the time have gotten a title run. I agree that Lana's probably the least worker of the women, but she's at least never been put over the rest of the roster in any real way.

Has it still not been confirmed yet when this actually airs?

That's an interesting one for sure, thanks as always for the recaps!

Glad you also enjoyed it! Agreed of course on that finish and the camera almost missing it at that, but a great battle leading up to it. Both guys best work in TNA I think and wish they had more stuff like it. I love late era Nash, thought he also delivered big in the ladder match with HHH in 2011. -

Absolutely loved that build too. They had a contract signing segment for the match, where Foley runs off the ropes and puts himself through the table leaving Nash bewildered...was hilarious. One of my favorite memories watching that with my dad, his reaction being similar to Nash's. -
Surprised Nicole Savoy didn't get another shot here as well. ^ Also surprising there, never heard a bad word about Ember.

I'm a huge mark for the Foley/Nash brawl at Hard Justice. Just two old dudes hitting each other and bleeding all over the place, total fun. Also dug those last few months of 09, Hamada was tearing it up in the knockouts division with some hidden gem little matchups.
