  1. Seems they do actually have the show listed as 7-1030 est rather than 7-11 as they've been. Agreed 100%. That SummerSlam squash was so so dumb.
  2. I didn't realize there's only 7 main card matches. Feels like a step back from the last three all having 10 + multiple preshow matches plus Super Showdown having 10 as well.
  3. I may be misremembering, but I actually don't remember fans ever really turning on Batista during his initial 05-09 babyface run which I thought was a credit to him and the booking of the time almost always keeping his badass babyface aura in tact. He always seemed to get cheered during that run and massive pops when he'd make returns from injury. The heel turn got a lot of love and of course the years later return was all ill advised and filled with bad timing.
  4. Hardy being a spotfest guy in his early days sure, but I thought in his second WWE run (06-09), he had become a legitimately GREAT worker who had several fantastic matches up and down the card against a huge variety of opponents - mostly straight singles matches at that. On par with Matt delivering the goods on a weekly basis. Matches with Morrison in 06, Umaga in 07.. really strong matches in early 2008 when he was first main eventing against Michaels, Cena, Orton, Jericho and the later series with Triple H were great stuff.
  5. There was another thread a few months back on this same Hardy/Bryan bigger star topic, I posted this video there too (as well as their respective music hype videos that both got which are a tremendous aid in getting guys over as stars), but this is always one of my favorite intros, where Jeff felt like THE biggest star going. I wish they would've gone back to this theme now too.
  6. After Armageddon, Hardy main evented Judgment Day, Extreme Rules, Night of Champions, and SummerSlam.
  7. It's most likely going to be a DX tag rather than a 1 on 1 match I imagine.
  8. I really liked both of those matches as well. Though I do think Alisha is super underrated, she did real fun heel work back 6 or 7 years ago on the indys and had some breakout feeling matches back then. I think the knockouts division could probably use some more depth but the tag division is looking pretty solid.. just need to get Z & E back in the mix.
  9. Agreed, couldn't stand him then or now.. ruined so much like the tag division and KO's career. Riley's face turn was so awesome... will forever wish he rose to the top after that.
  10. This was my only issue as well, disappointed that Su's reign ended so flat, short overall, in a quick match, and without her involved in the finish. Hoped she'd have a more epic run after the build of the character killing off Rosemary and the amazing build up to the Madison match. Tessa is great no doubt but this felt a bit like a rush to get the title on her as not long ago she had dropped 2 matches clean to Madison then beats Allie and wins the title.

Great Briscoes/SCU tag. Battle royal was a lot of fun for the first half until all the more interesting names were eliminated and you realize the ROH title match is inevitably gonna be just a match you could see on any ROH show. Would've bought the show immediately if Billy Gunn won. Bully Ray was a fine substitute but mehhh ending. I've thought Cody a lock to win the NWA title but seeing it's not the main event, maybe not even the semi, gives me doubt.. hope he does though.
  12. I absolutely love the Hogan/Edge v. Billy & Chuck tag title change from 7/4/02, so fun.
  13. That must be the case, cause he was listed in the original press release for it but nothing since, lol.
  14. It's definitely got that glorified house show vibe right now. Figured they would at least put Shane O Mac and/or Kurt in a match to make it seem more special.
  15. Mella IS Money. I was shocked but glad they didn't have Almas tap out yet again, as he has recently to Styles and Rusev.
  16. Also a fellow Lance Storm guy here. Always one of my favorites, thought his mic work was rather good in WCW. Raven is another I will always mark for and wish he was used more in his WWE run the way he was everywhere else.
  17. The venue for HIAC is now advertising Braun/Roman. I felt the Shield three way was done to absolute death a few years ago to the point where I never got the big deal about it.
  18. Just to clarify, I believe in an upcoming episode they do acknowledge that the kid did not die from the hit.
  19. I didn't mind that particular instance, as if Ronda is asking Alexa if she's ready for the punishment she's about to endure versus if she was yelling out the move or the next spot or whatever.
  20. Agreed that while BFG has always been called their WrestleMania event, Slammiversary definitely felt more that way but maybe that'll change as it gets closer.
  21. I think the only things officially being set up so far are
  22. Exactly what I was thinking as well
  23. Just preventing an injustice. Seth and Dean protecting their friend and brother, came off very babyface like to me. If Braun wants to be a man like he claims, he can face Roman straight up one on one without Roman having just fought a 19 minute match, next week or any other. Can't see them turning arguably the two hottest faces on the brand right now in Seth and Dean.
  24. Agreed, seems like such an easy character to keep hot through vignettes and promos without having him wrestle every week... which is probably how he should've been used for the most part since he became Woken. Losing 9 weeks straight to the B Team, clean every time, was a terrible end. But there was never any effort made to even attempt to make the character special as they had Wyatt practically squash him in their first match at RAW 25.
  25. Amen to that 100%. Been sick of them and their five minute matches killing off all other teams for months. Precisely why I can't stand Strowman and any of his feuds, nobody ever comes out better and his push has been super forced since they destroyed all of his organic momentum last year when Brock beat him straight up clean and quick. While that is clearly how it should be, it's actually just Hardy/Nakamura without Orton. Of course that seems to make it obvious that Orton will cost Jeff whereas the triple threat would have at least gave it a little suspense.
