  1. He's always in and out, he'd usually appear in their backstage segments at the "LAX clubhouse" and when he wasn't at whatever taping, they would refer to him taking care of LAX business in Mexico or something along those lines. I believe he last worked the barbed wire massacre against oVe in November (aired in January) and then a couple Xplosion matches at the following tapings.
  2. Yeah. It looks like they're doing EYFBO & Eddie Kingston vs. Homicide, Hernandez, and... someone. I guess Konnan or an emissary.I saw Homicide & Hernandez vs. EYFBO 2.5 years ago at the Rey-Ki show. First half was an excellent brawl all over the building. Second half was EYFBO getting the heat really badly. They're MUCH better now, so I'm to Switch around, Kingston is with Homicide & Hernandez while Konnan is with Ortiz & Santana I didn't realize I was that far behind. I'm still at the Eddie procures hookers for EYFBO phase. the latest Homicide/Hernandez return portion won't actually air on TV for probably another month

  4. Conrad says the new episode on the topic of ECW on Syfy will not be going up tonight due to "creative differences" and WWE wanting to edit it, so it will be up Friday instead.
  5. Kind of felt like they were going to rush to it after last night, making it like Dolph cost Drew by getting chumped out in two minutes. Originally figured they were next in line for the tag titles but depends how far they wanna take the B Team. And yeah, Sonya/Asuka are amazing together. I wish Sonya had more of a push and they built to that as a big showdown later on.
  6. Randy Orton's used it a few times over the years, most recently last year. Feel like someone else has in recent times but blanking on who else.
  7. I loved when Neville started using the Superplex as a finish. Agreed, The Usos were using it last year during their heel run for awhile.
  8. I always thought Test was awesome. Even later on, his one off match with Brock at KOTR 02 was pretty fun, and he was a really great heel in '03 during the Steiner/Stacy feud.
  9. Yeah as mentioned Bryan absolutely destroyed Cass this week. But then he's in a MITB Qualifier vs. Samoa Joe for the last spot next week so I guess we'll see. That should probably be a Joe squash regardless, especially if Cass is going in injured from Bryan's attack.

    Promos in WWE

This annoys me too. It's even worse when it's "Earlier today, Sasha Banks took to Twitter and said "It's my time tonight. #TheBossisHere #BankHoliday" with Cole taking a dramatic pause before saying each hashtag out loud Both of these posts cracked me up. the Utlimate Thrill Ride was my absolute favorite tagline ever because of that and how many times it had to be said. I feel like all the earlier today this was is now in reference to twitter or instagram. Hash tag............. it's BOSS TIME!!
  11. That's hilarious. I feel like that's Kurt in between every match and they also had Paige doing it on SDL.
  12. I feel like that could be said for about almost any feud in the women's division, not just Alexa. Did anyone come off better after feuding with Bayley? Certainly not Nia who tapped out clean to her in their first match, not Sasha who had her character destroyed ever since, and not Charlotte who just kept on losing to Bayley over and over until she switched brands. People also said Sasha came out of the Charlotte feud worse cause she always lost in the end. Whereas for one example, I would say Naomi came out of the Alexa feud better than before, she won the title from her twice and beat her at every turn, that's the feud that established her as a top female.
  13. What killed Sasha was being portrayed as Bayley's sidekick for the past 2 years. Completely the opposite of what her NXT character was. The whole never getting a real run with the title was being done before Alexa too. I don't see much different about Alexa's feuds vs. any other feud. She won the feud vs. Becky (almost always cheating or a fluke), then transitioned the title to Naomi, losing clean to her like 3 straight times. Then she was sent to Raw and won the title from Bayley (who had a long reign and had gone over literally everyone else on Raw at that point, so it was fair time). Then she traded back and forth with Sasha (exactly as Charlotte had done before her). After that she had the little Mickie feud and didn't do a whole lot until Mania time. Don't see how she is responsible for in any way hurting Nia in this feud. She doesn't lay out the matches and can't control the size difference but I thought both matches were quite good. As far as her overall matches and promos, I thought her first few Becky matches, the Sasha series, and the Asuka match in January were all very good, with the Nia matches far exceeding expectations. Her late 2016 promos with Becky remain my favorites of hers.
  14. Yes they aired that video on RAW, three separate times.
  15. There's still plenty of ways they could go about it, could see a double DQ/no contest type deal... just don't figure Nia's big WM moment will lead to just Ronda running her over two months into her reign. Maybe Alexa wins MITB and cashes in Rollins style? Or they could have Alexa and Mickie attack both which would at least allow them to do something small to blowoff the little Mickie/Ronda tease. I feel like they will do something along those lines to prolong Ronda chasing the title a little bit. As it is, I would've had Ronda/Mickie at Backlash even in just a little 5 minute match if they were gonna go this route.
  16. I find this hilarious, every week without fail. That and Roman's "Here comes..... THE BIG DOG!"
  17. The great 2011-2012 period of TNA was a lot of fun to watch at it's time not just looking back. When they went live for the summer of 2012, there was a genuine excitement watching week-to-week Impact. As has been mentioned before, there were loads of excellent things going on at that time. Bully Ray's great run, Aries rise to the top, Roode's heel title run, Angle/Styles v. Daniels/Kazarian matches, Samoa Joe having great matches again, etc.
  18. Felt like "You all love Rusev so much but he jobs to everyone, so we're finally gonna put him over, but only against the other guy you all love". Kept expecting Cass to show up. Seconding all the love for Ruby Riott. She has been really good for the last 5 years or so and has just kept on getting better. Amazing look, fantastic in the ring, always delivers on the mic. Really great promo leading into FastLane and she shined last night for sure, I wish she didn't take the fall there. Always thought of her as a great babyface but feel she's been a killer heel this run as well, greatness.
  19. Agreed with all of this. Those 3D/Machine Guns matches were awesome. D-Von was a super fun fighting TV champ, when they attempted and quickly abandoned having the 'TV title defended every week' rule, and he was always over too. And Bully/Aries was one of my favorite matches then, Aries had killer matches with everyone at that time and his rise from X Division to World Champ was the absolute best.
  20. Really liked his WWE title run. Loved the build up to SummerSlam 2016. There was one promo seg with Dean and Dolph where Ambrose really came off like 'the man' and I thought it was excellent.
  21. WWE tried to forget it happened too, I don't think it lasted two months
  22. Really glad you mentioned that one. There are times I like Edge quite a bit but that turn was seriously, deeply painful on every level. The worst part about that run to me, was I actually liked the blowoff where Edge got his big babyface triumph over Jericho in the steel cage.....then turns heel the very next night on Raw. Completely randomly. Less than 6 months later, he was babyface again.
  23. As far as Joe in WWE and not having any classics, I would say his best match was vs. Reigns from January 1 2018 RAW.
  24. I thought the end of 2009 had some really good stuff for awhile despite Russo, just before the Hulkamania era kicked off in 2010.
  25. Must have got moved in the Superstar Shakeup, since that's when Raw went up and SDL went downwards last year. I loved Orton/Hardy in 08 and am looking forward to it tomorrow, think it could be quite good with time. I'm reminded of the first two Orton/Christian matches in 2011 that were face v. face being excellent.
