  1. Duggan main evented shows with Andre during their feud, and a bit with Savage.
  2. The other very weird thing about this angle is that Savage-Warrior was the house show main event for a while leading up to this, and for at least a month after - so everyone who was getting that match must have had a weird dissonance, as Warrior was denying Savage the shot on TV and then granting it on the house shows.
  3. I think this might be a top 5 Rockers WWF match (if you don't separately count all the very similar Rockers-Brainbusters matches).
  4. The immediate setup in the Tweet of "tonight on Raw..." gives me some hope for a work.
  5. This was fun but the constant moves in stereo is the kind of stuff that's a bit too cute for it's own good. Saab and Van Dam each jumping over a table was kind of amazing, though. Felt appropriate on this day to at least see Axl Rotten hit someone with a chair.
  6. These are brilliant. I once watched all of them in a day and they never got old.
  7. I think they needed to get the belts off RVD and Sabu to help build the undercard for N2R - otherwise, literally all the belts were in the main event.
  8. What exactly was the intent in not pinning him? Yes, he "made his point" with the two power bombs... but then pin the guy!
  9. They put Rick over really strong here, and of course I can't recall them doing anything more with Rick until his heel turn.
  10. Why wouldn't Austin use the duress to get McMahon to reinstate him? Makes him look like a sadistic asshole.
  11. PW Insider said hotel room. EDIT: Actually, they corrected it - he was indeed found in a McDonald's near the hotel he was staying in.
  12. Another ECW guy goes quite young, right after Hack Myers. I enjoyed Axl with Balls; and his series with Ian was like the Guerrero-Malenko series for death matches.
  13. R-Truth running from the cats was amazing.
  14. Is this the ECW Arena match? If so, it's a pretty great brawl. They did another one around this time that was a "Japanese Death Match" with no real distinction.
  15. Do the Horsemen even have a match at Halloween Havoc, though? WCW had a very bad habit of heating up issues and not reaching the obvious payoff in 1998 (Nash v. Hogan springs to mind most notably). I know we get a Flair-Bischoff match eventually, but they don't use this hot program to even get undercard matches on the shows leading up to it.
  16. They have added a section called "Collections", which has the following: TLC Tag Teams Lesnar: Road to Undisputed Title Best of Stone Cold v. Mr. McMahon The Best of WWE Network Celebrating Black History Month (different than last year's content) The Greatest Matches Ever Good use of the library, for the most part.

  18. Apparently Vince Russo enjoyed this quite a bit.
  19. Note that he'd come back at least a little shy of a year, as he won the ECW Title in September of '99 (not sure if he returned in Japan before that).
  20. Amazing how pinning someone with credibility enhances the credibility of the person who gets the pin. I wonder what the WWE of today might learn from this...
  21. This Raw has been terrific, a great example of how good the WWF could be at soap opera storytelling around this time.
  22. I was in NYC and was very bummed at missing the TV around this time, as I was 15 and very much not going to the Elks Lodge shows.
  23. ECW music videos are the best. Also, a lot of the music from the late 90s does not hold up very well, but I still kinda enjoy this song.
  24. This wasn't the first and sadly, wouldn't be the last time that they ran with Dreamer against Credible. Not sure it ever really worked particularly well.
  25. Hogan's moaning over the Disciple here weirdly matches his moaning over Elizabeth on the Main Event.
