Who are the Assention?

We're probably talking at best, something similar to Punk vs. Taker at Wrestlemania XXIX. Bryan (the Punk in this scenario) would be doing all the hard physical work, taking the big bumps, wheras Austin (the Taker in this scenario) would hit his high spots, work a mostly mat based style with minimal bumps centred around his danger spots (the neck in Austin's case) and rely on crowd reaction and match heat to enhance his shortcomings. My head is going to explode.

I can't even watch anything right now and it's been this way for a couple days. Just keeps skipping and jumping in and out of HD. Watching on Amazon Fire TV. Netflix and everything else works fine. WWE's website is useless when it comes to troubleshooting. Is there a way to notify them of problems without twitter?

That's really not that far-fetched at all. Remember when they tried to give "YES!" to Big Show?

I don't think there's a topic that makes me groan more than booking retired wrestlers (retired by choice or physical status) with realistic expectations. At this stage, it's surpassed Montreal and re-booking The Invasion.

I listened to the Shawn Michaels interview on Talk is Jericho today and he said he doesn't miss wrestling at all and loves the way his career ended because "the underdog doesn't always get the happy ending." Not sure why one more HBK match would even cross somebody's mind.

They debuted it right in the middle of the brand split era...

I'm not gonna be as hard on blown spots as some. A lot of these guy are green and quite frankly, that's why they're there. It's gonna happen. I'm more concerned with how they react to it. We all talk about how NXT is better than WWE, but keep in mind that it is still a farm league and it's kind of unfair to hold their talent to prime time standards.

I wouldn't call it a stinker but I would have liked to see things spiral out of control. NXT could really use some wild brawls for some variety. Is there some kind of decree from higher-up about not using weapons? I found the chair stuff a little odd.

I was waiting for a Seth Rollins reference when you guys started talking about the "selfie stick"

Usually I think I have a good feel for what you guys will like and dislike, but on this show I'm not really sure. This will be an interesting listen!

Am I the only one who likes Bull Dempsey? I don't get all the hate. Hoping they let him brawl, NXT has yet to see a chaotic brawl.

It was even dumber when they had matches with more than 8 guys. There were a couple that had 9 or 10 people. Guys would just disappear for half the match to clear space. Cluttered mess.

It's beyond tired and needs to go. It does more harm to the talent than good. If they're not willing to go all out on a title run for a guy, then don't do it at all.

I wish this company would go back to giving guys meaningful first title reigns. I think it's a big reason why there's such a lack of stars now.

What is it with this company and horrible wigs? They're usually really good with that kind of stuff.

This kind of feels like the Bret vs Vince stuff in 2010 where it was just way too late to mean anything.

Nash said they found a lookalike for the live crowd and spliced in footage they took earlier in the day of Nash himself in the casket. Always dug this and it's a great example of WWE slick production done right. I wanna say they did this again years later. With Heidenreich maybe?

A bit like any current star Sgt. Slaughter put over on Raw in the past decade and then they get squashed months later. No, not really anything like that at all.

HHH's "I'm just a wrestler caught up in this crazy corporate environment" tone kind of reminded me of Dixie Carter's "I'm just a woman caught up in this crazy world of wrestling!" tone she takes when she's on these kind of things. I found that funny

I felt like everyone came out looking like whiners last night. And I hated the HHH promo talking about the booking and then at the same time acting heelish towards Reigns. Reminded me of Russo era Nitro.

I want in too. I can't wait for Jesse Ventura to read a Dusty Rhodes promo.
